Excellent location. Big room in NYC. Nice gym room. Great view. Comfortable bed.
Just a bit old. No water provided.
They charged me 200 USD for city view room for which I have already paid and booked the same .
Very conveniently located, in the middle of all happening in New York. The hotel is very busy, the restaurants and lounge bar are nice. Rooms are pretty spacious too. But a bit "too busy" and might be hard if you want a bit of retreat and rest your mind from the busy daily schedule. Still a good choice, very usual Marriott hospitality, a choice that make sense if you're traveling for business and looking...
Very good location. Facing the famous Time Square. The room is well maintained and clean. I do not like the additional 40 USD per room per night that I need to pay at the hotel, but we can use it at a hotel bar and restaurant as room credits.
We loved the hotel. The elevator system was quite different for us. The staff was polite. The rooms were very comfortable, especially the bed pillows. The proximity from our theater was perfect; right across the street. We'd love to visit again.
All good except the service in the restaurant.

The toilet had leaks issue (the room in level 48). Called hotel to fix it but the first engineer was not able to find the issue. The second engineer was able to find the issue but we were leaving New York on the same day. The leak from the toilet is quite gross.
Called hotel for help for the toilet leak issue but one of people took the call just ignore the request (he did not take an action but he...
great location but service in NY also poor.
Breakfast are expensive there, buffet for USD 47
Managed to arrive early and allowed early check-in at 1pm plus instead of 4pm. The caucasian woman stationed at the check-in counter was not the most friendly person. I passed her my credit card and was waiting for her to instruct me to sign for receipt. After a long pause, i realized i have to do something with the machine, and asked her where do i click for the machine. She did not respond kindly...
The hotel had overcharged me $150.
When I first checked in in the hotel, they changed $150 for upgrade. This is ok
They also retained us $150 as deposit.
The hotel advised us that the hotel wouldl issue us two free tickets for city tour. Also, the hotel advised us we would have $150 credit while shopping or eating in the hotel. When we checked out, we found the hotel did not gave the credit to...
Fantastic Gym! Dumbbells go up to 100 pounds and all equipment was in good working condition. Very clean with water dispensers and towels. Easy to access in basement level. Open 24hrs too
The room has NO fridge or microwave and they're quite small. Clean and decently updated.

Loved being able to stay here for a cheap price thanks to online hotel deal😍😍😍 It was around end of 2016 or beginning 2017(I think 2017 is more like it) i got nice deal for like $30 to $35 not bad even at that time and even though the room had no view it was just amazing being in there💯💯💯 So sad the governor wanted them to take it down because this was such a lovely place and only needed some fixing...
Had a two night stay at this hotel was impressed aside from what the reviews say. Our room was spacious enough for 4 people, also cleanly. Housekeeping came by to ensure room was clean. Hotel is right in the middle of the city, walking distance to many things. We were able to grab breakfast right across the street (not the exaggerated block away). They also have stores within the hotel lobby for convenience...
Check in took almost an hour waiting in line with luggage. But was able to check in and out a bit early/late. The room is basic, okay for one night and spacious but filthy carpet, kept shoes on, a very motel feel. They offered an upgrade to their renovated roomful for $57 which we declined since at least the bed and shower seemed clean. Great location though and cheaper than many others in the area...
This hotel was a HUGE disappointment. The staff is rude, not really willing to help the clients and the rooms are far from good. Unfortunately is a perfectly-located place with a terrible service.
Great for the price! Check in was abysmally slow, but other than that service was good. Beds were comfortable but a bit squeaky. Bathroom was very basic and the tub had no drain stopper and was peeling. But it served my purpose well. All I wanted was an inexpensive and clean place to sleep and I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel.

The best about this hotel is location. However, we were not happy that upon checking in, the hotel mandated for daily destination charges of USD35 per room per night. This charge was not disclosed earlier when we booked the hotel. It became a marketing gimmick because its rate looked competitive in the travel booking platform.
Rooms were very humid and it did not improve with AC. It needs better ventilation or a dehumidifier. My clothes were left smelling musty by the end of the stay.
Clean hotel and convenient location. I even got to check in early for a small fee, it was well worth it.
Location was perfect as it was located in the middle of Manhattan. Convenient to go anywhere really. Room was clean but not spotless. It is the US, not Asia 😂. All in all, pretty satisfied but the price was high during my stay.
Staff was very unfriendly, the rooms were unimpressive, and there was no city view despite being promised one. We paid over $1,000 per night.
Not going back there AGAIN!
Why don’t have toothpaste and toothbrush? It’s five stars hotel ? It’s very strange and don’t comfortable. You need add this items .

Row NYC at Times Square Hotel

I just returned from my stay with a large school group. We were very pleased with our experience! The room size was extremely small, especially for four girls, but since we were only really there to sleep this wasn't a problem. I was pleasantly surprised that we had a great view of the city given that we had a "standard" room (I was expecting a brick wall!) and the layout of the room was nice for the...

Location of the hotel was good. Very close to Times Square, grand central station and bus stands. Hotel was easy to check in and check out. Everything is available close to the hotel . Lots of places to eat too. There is a market in the hotel where u can take anything worth 15$ . Hotel room was big and nice .
Hotel location was good, staff were friendly . We had issue of extra blanket , but later it was sorted .
Overall good experience
Great experience and good places to stay. Nearby the subway and central.
Great locations. Friendly staff. Room was clean
Check in to room 2109 and ac was blowing 85….turned it on and left for an hour…hoping it would work….but it was broken. Engineering came up and after spending a whole lot of time in our room….it started working. But next our tv remote control didn’t work.
So we couldn’t get ready because the hotel was in such bad shape…..and crazy add on charges like a $4 hold bag fee. The low price is deceptive....

Its ok, a bit run down and quite noisy. Not cheap, but nothing is in New York
Great location close to Penn Station!
I had mixed feelings about the hotel. While the location is excellent, the noise level was unacceptable due to its position at a main intersection. I struggled to get restful sleep, as I was frequently disturbed by the constant sound of ambulances and NYPD car alarms.
Although the hotel is generally clean, it’s undeniably an old property—let’s call it "legacy" or "historical." The room was spacious...
We have chosen this hotel for one night stay as It was near to Penns Station where we can get to airport easily at Newark. It was a great location very near to subway.
Great location

Highly recommended
There were two significant and negative issues at this hotel. First, there was a mandatory twenty five dollar a day resort fee. This was never mentioned here or anywhere else after i booked Or during the booking process. In theory, you can use that money everyday on your breakfast or other food. A well-preserved historical site now an oasis within the bustling city surrounding it. We were welcomed by all staff, allowing us a refuge of peace once we entered our Cathedral view room and dropped onto the luxurious king bed. And room service to boot!
Food service and room of the Villiard Restaurant was not good.
Everything else I really liked!
The mother’s day brunch was no where near a brunch. And the way to pull some shenanigans with the bill no one wanted to help me so I just paid it awful service.
The toilet in the room was running, they fixed whilst I was gone, there was no temperature control in the room and the light control was hard to find there was a hardware store dimmer to control the bedside lamps. The hairdryer has cords showing through a broken part of the handle, a fire harzard. The hotel lost its glam.
Take the Saturday Morning Tour
Everything was done with excellence. The Saturday morning tour with Kevin was superb.
From the day I first arrived to the day I finished, the hotel staff's service was so good that I felt good~
The accommodation was also cleanly managed, and although the bathtub water didn't drain in the middle, it was resolved right away when I spoke about it~
Considering the location in Manhattan, New York, the accommodation was spacious and nice!

Location is great in mid-town Manhattan, and being close to Grand Central is wonderful, however as far as the hotel goes, I was disappointed with my room. The hotel is certainly beautiful, but for being a historic hotel, that I was excited to check out during one of my most recent trips to NYC, I found the hotel lacking in many ways from what I expected. The room was decently clean, but there was a...
This place is gorgeous and stunning. I took a tour of the hotel with my class and we got to see the rooms they offered and the back. Even though we were not official guests. Everyone treated us as of we were staying there. Everyone who works in the kitchen is super nice as is those in the front. Everything is kept very clean and tidy. Only thing about the rooms is that they are gorgeous and make you...
The building is gorgeous. When we checked in, everyone was so nice. They upgraded us to a bigger room so that we could move around easier. The shower had amazing water pressure and it was easy to walk to wherever we decided to go. The baggage check was very awesome for when we wanted to walk around the city in our last day when we had already checked out. Truly it was an amazing experience to stay...
Hotel was very friendly and accommodating! Would stay here again next time I was in town. My reason for the 4 star review was my terrible experience at the restaurant. We were there for about an hour and a half and we ordered a burger and a salad. We were put in the corner because it was busy and there was limited seating. We never even received a refill on our water! Once we asked for our bill it...
This place was clean, and pretty straightforward. While I admit other than the lobby the interior could really use an update. During our stay there were a couple instances were the elevators stopped working, or our room key would randomly stop opening the door. Fortunately the hotel is right next to Grand Central, Times Square and plenty of other tourist attractions that made our stay super convenient...
Room was pretty basic. Bed was fine. Room clean. Decent TV. Simple bathroom. Building is old. Due for a remodel, but fit the budget and you couldn't beat the location. Disappointed by Poor Coordination Despite Great Location
The location is fantastic, and the room was clean and comfortable. However, I faced major frustration during my stay. Flew in from Vegas for a overnight stay before heading to Rome. Location is perfectly situated right between hells kitchen and Columbus circle. This hotel was an interesting experience. My room was fine, though extremely small, even by Manhattan standards. There was a quirky window that looked from the shower into the room and there was minimal lightning. The room was seriously dark. My room was fine however and the bath products were very nice and a brand that I like. There were other areas of the hotel that had maintenance issues however...
Loved the location, the quirky design. Some guests might not be thrilled by the zero privacy bathroom, if you're sitting on the toilet you are on full display to any other guests in your room because of the giant glass wall, but I was alone so no big deal. Outside is blank, a brown wall. Escalator takes you up to an ultra modern spacious lobby with subdued lighting and cozy spaces. Room was...
Cool vibe but looks like it is a little run down. A few of their elevators were down which resulted in long wait times. When asked about the elevators the staff denied that any were not working. Room service did a good job but didn't replace paper cups for water, no glass or plastic cups provided.
The breakfast buffet was expensive and not that great, more like a continental breakfast that is usually...
I'm a native New Yorker and I love to visit the bars at this hotel. They each have a different feel. My favorite is the Library bar with fire place and leather couches. Cocktails are pricey, but delicious. You' re paying for the atmosphere. In the warm months there's an outdoor space and a bar/grill to provide for beverage and culinary needs. Check it out.
Great location for the price. Close to Central Park, Broadway theaters, and Hell's Kitchen restaurants and bars. Pseudo-trendy. Responsive, professional staff. Negatives: teeny tiny rooms and bathrooms, showers never seem to work well (and I've stayed here many times), lots of street noise and HVAC noise, and elevators can take forever at times. I'm leaning 3-star but have to acknowledge that many...

Great hotel with great location
Room was quite small and basic, and walls were thin. Staff was very helpful. There is no on site restaurant except for the steakhouse so it was not an option for my 15 night stay to dine there every night. Great location near to Central station. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.
Convenient location, just a little noisy
I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the Front Desk Receptionist for her exceptional service. She embodies beauty, patience, and genuine care. This hotel is extremely busy but this is a great location, close to food, trains, and everything you need. In particular I wanted to compliment Freddy at the front desk. The best customer service ever. He answered all my questions and was even able to make several great suggestions. His knowledge about the area and his kindness goes a long way. Excellent location and friendly staff. The breakfast place is a cafe so not much choice there. There is a small bar and you can leave the luggage in the check room for the day, on check out. I thought my stay at the hotel was awesome. They upgraded my room to one with a view of Times Square and it did not disappoint. Also, the layout of the room was very interesting. It was also very modern and updated, with interesting decor. My biggest issue with it is it's a pain to get from the street level up to your floor if you have a stroller or wheelchair. You have to shuffle between elevators
Really nice hotel. Very clean, modern and comfortable. Quiet room. TV has nice selection of channels. Right in the heart of the theater district, in fact Chicago is playing right across the street. Amazingly comfortable beds . Small mix up with our room meant we got free drink coupons and WiFi . The only letdown was the bathroom . Bath had rust and was very low though the water was nice and hot
