PRO: Location! Lots of hotels advertise that they are "steps from Times Square, " but this hotel literally is. PRO: Rooms are a good size by Times Square standards. PRO: Hotel is big with quick, glass-view elevators. CON: Daily food credit somehow doesn't apply to the hotel Starbucks OR the hotel market, which is literally across from the restaurant on the 8th floor. CON: We used up our two...
Perfect hotel for a perfect getaway. Everything is within walking distance. I am a regular visiting NYC for both business and leisure. When I am here with family, we live staying at the Marquis. The rooms are spacious unlike several other hotels in this prime location — I’ve stayed in those as well. Yes, it’s on the pricier side but you get what you pay for. Enjoy!
I was very pleased with our stay at Time Square Marriott Marquis. The rooms were spacious and clean, and we had an excellent view from our room. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. We are right around the corner of the center of Time Square.i would highly recommend. Also, right across the street from the best chocolate shakes and best cheese cake ever. (Juniors)
Basically, Times Square is trash. A local referred to it as Disney, over priced and nothing original. The hotel was nice but I had issues. Rm 1704... the AC never got below 72 degrees. Even after contacting the front desk. My biggest complaint is that when checking in, they said there was an addition charge of 30 dollars a day but that 30 dollars could be used as credit towards hotel purchases for...
I love this hotel so much. The staff is very nice the location is amazing! The view from our room was neat and the room was super clean and not outdated. Could not hear any traffic and was quiet the whole night. Huge hotel with a bunch of people, it takes a long time to get on the elevator but everything else was fine. The food was good and the subway is super close which was convenient.
The New York Marriott Marquis is located in Midtown Manhattan, on Times Square in the Theater District. Free WiFi is available. The hotel has on-site restaurants and cafes. Radio City Music Hall and Rockefeller Center are 805 meters from the New York Marriott Marquis. Guest rooms at the New York Marriott Marquis feature signature Marriott linens and marble bathrooms. Flat-screen TVs with Netflix, iPod...
Firm, comfy bed. Great bathroom with spacious shower. And the best (and most shocking part?) SO QUIET! shockingly quiet for Times Square. It was awesome. Very clean and tidy Charming staff all over. Helpful and polite even when things were busy and buzzing

Fantastic Gym! Dumbbells go up to 100 pounds and all equipment was in good working condition. Very clean with water dispensers and towels. Easy to access in basement level. Open 24hrs too The room has NO fridge or microwave and they're quite small. Clean and decently updated.
for a hotel of this category where you pay up to $400.00 per night for a room, you expect impeccable service and a perfectly functioning structure. None of this, the staff is very unfriendly and this applies to all departments, it is clear that they are dissatisfied with their work. The room was not well cleaned, there were hairs in the sink,. Breakfast costs an excessive $30.00 per person and is served...
Friendly and professional staff. Lobby bar was nice and had very quick service. The gym is great, with water (bottle or fruit flavoured) and towels provided. Elevator system is very efficient and easy to use no matter what floor you are on. Beds are comfortable, nice view on the 41st floor. Location is also very convenient no matter where you are headed.
Came to New York for a conference which was at this hotel, and we stayed there as well. The rooms were on the smaller side, but still functional. The hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable. A fault would be that you could hear guests in the rooms beside you or outside your door quite clearly (definitely minimal sound proofing). It’s in a great location to head out from and it’s up the street...
This was my third stay at this hotel. The beds are comfortable and clean. The location of this hotel is fabulous. It is right next to two metro lines and very close to Times Square and Broadway theatres. Starbucks coffee is located in the room as well. The shower is clean and there are plenty of towels for use. Staff is professional and efficient. The rooms are not huge but have all the space you need...
Have stayed here consistently on our almost yearly winter vacation trips to manhattan. Great location. Pleasant staff. Rooms are tight but clean and organized. Beds quite firm and comfortable. Convenient to most anywhere in the city

This hotel was a HUGE disappointment. The staff is rude, not really willing to help the clients and the rooms are far from good. Unfortunately is a perfectly-located place with a terrible service.
Great for the price! Check in was abysmally slow, but other than that service was good. Beds were comfortable but a bit squeaky. Bathroom was very basic and the tub had no drain stopper and was peeling. But it served my purpose well. All I wanted was an inexpensive and clean place to sleep and I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel.

This was a lovely hotel. Location was ideal for us, rooms were very clean and staff were friendly. It also included breakfast which was an added bonus. We went in may and it wasn’t too busy.
The location of the hotel is great, close to the metro, we don't waste time on transport. The services are good, the breakfast is very qualitative. The price in partnership with British airways is definitely worth it. There is this destination tax, which remains unclear. But to understand clearly, the hotel takes a deposit of $600 and at the end of the stay it withdraws $35 per night. You should know...
Loved this hotel. Very busy at reception at times,so maybe another employee or two to deal with check in/check out. Very clean room and all the staff are very friendly and lovely. However 2 employees made my time great here. Robert E is calmness personified and also very professional when dealing with everyone waiting for a table for breakfast and also Warren our server for breakfast. Both are a credit...
Great hotel, location is close to everything in midtown, we walked everywhere....69 miles in 6 days. I need to mention 'Robert E' and his team at Herb n' Kitchen. Nothing was ever a problem, they were always really friendly and helpful. We had the American Buffet breakfast every morning, fresh waffles cooked to order by the chef. I'd recommend the breakfast as it sets you up for the day. Great staff...

I just returned from my stay with a large school group. We were very pleased with our experience! The room size was extremely small, especially for four girls, but since we were only really there to sleep this wasn't a problem. I was pleasantly surprised that we had a great view of the city given that we had a "standard" room (I was expecting a brick wall!) and the layout of the room was nice for the...
Elevator is smart. There is no breakfast. Hotel workers have difficult times when u ask something to them. It is like they dont like helping or solving ur problem. You hear every noise in the room

Well located, but the room is small, no refrigerator, but it has a safe. It was weird that they only offered a shampoo/conditioner in one product - I had to go buy my own. I didn't have a great view, but I'm sure there are some wonderful ones available. Otherwise, the food is delicious.
I stayed here for my birthday and it was pretty alright. Their vegan burger was truly delicious. Most staff members were quite pleasant. In all honesty, the rooms are cozy but many of my friends complained how small it was in comparison to their hotel rooms they rented that weekend for better value and amenities. I ran into a few issues while staying there including an unpleasant situations and staff...
It’s alright. The staff is rude as hell so talking to anyone here is pointless. Check-in took about forever because there was one person working and three watching and commenting on her work. No sense of customer service at all. Rooms are basic. Beds are fine. Shower was solid. Better than your average. Location works well for me and there are some good restaurants in this part of town. Was fine, but...
The hotel was pretty nice for the price. Compared to other hotels in the area it was more affordable. The lobby is beautiful and overall the decor is great. We had a Suite which was a pretty good size. However, the bathroom could be bigger. We were able to push check-out 1 pm which was nice. One thing that bothered me was that the room wasn't ready when we got there around 6 pm but fortunately we...
Great location, just a few blocks from 42nd st. The decor is wonderful very livly and modern but for the price the rooms are way too small. Not to mention they charge you for just about everything you use in the room. It was a nice stay. My first and last time for this hotel thought, great for business meets and things of that nature, but a weekend in the city, I’d recommend trying elsewhere
My friend and I stayed over the weekend before Christmas at this hotel. I liked the comfortable beds and that they included a fridge and microwave in the room, also the current in the shower was very strong exactly the way I like it. But the room was a bit too small. The only plus is that the lobby is well decorated and that it’s next to Times Square. The concierge and the service is absolutely horrendous. The service at the front desk and room service were incredibly rude, considering I’m paying a large price for numerous rooms. I will never be staying here again because of how rude, inconsiderate and ridiculously cheap the staff are here. Insane for the price...
Wonderful location, close to all amenities and restaurants. The hotel itself is tired and not well kept. We entered the elevator upon arrival to find a dirty towel and wrappers on the floor. Our room had a distinct urine smell so we complained and were moved to a much nicer room that was at least clean. The manager was apologetic and did try and make us feel comfortable. The new room was better but...
Located in Times square, but it's still fairly quiet and rooms are good size. I had a premium view of the Hudson and the rooms were very clean and well serviced. This hotel is in a prime location and it's so easy to walk to a lot of fantastic tourist spots in Manhattan. You are just a block from time square. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I told a manager how impressed I was with how friendly everyone was at the hotel. The baggage guys at the front were kind, helpful and even though I tipped they weren’t friendly and helpful for a tip. It seemed like everyone just wanted us to have a wonderful stay. Beautiful property, with exquisite features in the Villard Mansion areas. Our room on the 9th floor was spotless, well equipped and had the most amazing view of the Cathedral. Only wish we had more time to stay there longer. The Bellman Matt was another highlight of our stay - supremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Michael on reception was also very helpful and attentive to our needs.
5-star hotel. But, I was expecting more. Like maybe a microwave, fridge on the room. And a little more space. Nice view overlooking St. Patrick's Cathedral. Great location.
This is an extremely prestigious hotel in the heart of the city. Stayed here for a friends wedding and was extremely impressed. What a Beautiful hotel. My fiance spent 20 minutes taking pics of the ceilings and decor. Gorgeous room, incredible view overlooking Saint Patrick's Cathedral. The staff was incredibly helpful and made our stay very pleasant. Heavenly beds, great showers, luxurious robes. Great Midtown location. 5 min walk to Rockefeller Center
Beautiful accommodations with a great staff. Very thoughtful and always pleasant. Good location in the heart of the city, near Rockefeller Center, St. Patrick's Cathedral, Radio City Music Hall, Times Square, and more. Will definitely be back here again.
Elegant hotel with big rooms, bar and restaurant on-site. Good walking to restaurants and shopping. Biggest problem is the NYC pricing, which is insanely high. Loved the hotel but if it wasn't a business trip and company booked, I wouldn't stay here.

Will definitely stay here again! The location was literally a 13 minute walk to Times Square and a close walk to the famous Joes pizza!! The rooms were clean every day which was a plus. I like that they have security in the front to make sure that every one has a key card which made me feel safe. And thank you for mentioning the hotel fee deposit per day when checking in. Got my deposit right back...
The Hyatt has a beautiful lobby and an excellent location. Has some nice amenities but the rooms are lacking. They have dated bathrooms and are small with no good views. They have nice electronics for the lights but that seems to be overkill considering the needs of the bathrooms. Amidst the sea of hotels, this one shines bright; a testament to their commitment to delivering a flawless experience every single time. We loved this hotel. We stayed at the Hyatt by Grand Central in Sept 2023. The bed was really soft and comfortable. I woke up one night thinking I was at home in my own bed! Housekeeping is great when they come but if you wake up after 10 and miss their first round, then it's a roll of the dice on whether your room gets cleaned. Luckily, they have an evening crew that will come clean if you call front desk. And the towels...
I had an absolutely amazing stay at the Grand Hyatt in New York! Customer service was absolutely phenomenal couldn’t thank them enough. Great location for business traveller. The rooms are nice and fit for purpose. The service could be better but I Guess that’s how most of hotel service in New York. What I hated most was calling room service for basic supplies which should be standard. As simple as iron, shower gel, a shoe shiner. But apart from that, the stay is easy and comfortable.

A very nice hotel right in the middle of Manhattan, and one of the few where the relationship price/quality is pretty fair. The location is pretty convenient, right next to a subway station and steps away...
They advertise a lot about their past and the celebrities they had but they really need to up their game, the location is great but it looks like our room hadn't had any real upgrade in this century. The New Yorker Hotel was exactly what we needed to celebrate my mother’s 76th birthday. NYC was on her bucket list and this hotel offers an absolutely perfect location. Location is great in mid-town Manhattan, and being close to Grand Central is wonderful, however as far as the hotel goes, I was disappointed with my room. The hotel is certainly beautiful, but for being a historic hotel, that I was excited to check out during one of my most recent trips to NYC, I found the hotel lacking in many ways from what I expected. The room was decently clean, but there was a...
This place is gorgeous and stunning. I took a tour of the hotel with my class and we got to see the rooms they offered and the back. Even though we were not official guests. Only thing about the rooms is that they are gorgeous and make you...
The building is gorgeous. When we checked in, everyone was so nice. They upgraded us to a bigger room so that we could move around easier. The baggage check was very awesome for when we wanted to walk around the city in our last day when we had already checked out. Truly it was an amazing experience to stay...
Hotel was very friendly and accommodating! Would stay here again next time I was in town. My reason for the 4 star review was my terrible experience at the restaurant. We were there for about an hour and a half and we ordered a burger and a salad. We were put in the corner because it was busy and there was limited seating. We never even received a refill on our water! Once we asked for our bill it...
This place was clean, and pretty straightforward. While I admit other than the lobby the interior could really use an update. During our stay there were a couple instances were the elevators stopped working, or our room key would randomly stop opening the door. Fortunately the hotel is right next to Grand Central, Times Square and plenty of other tourist attractions that made our stay super convenient...
Room was pretty basic. Bed was fine. Room clean. Decent TV. Simple bathroom. Building is old. Due for a remodel, but fit the budget and you couldn't beat the location. Staff are great and the good offerings in the hotel good but expect NYC prices. Flew in from Vegas for a overnight stay before heading to Rome. Location is perfectly situated right between hells kitchen and Columbus circle. This hotel was an interesting experience. My room was fine, though extremely small, even by Manhattan standards. There was a quirky window that looked from the shower into the room and there was minimal lightning. The room was seriously dark. My room was fine however and the bath products were very nice and a brand that I like. There were other areas of the hotel that had maintenance issues however...
Loved the location, the quirky design. Some guests might not be thrilled by the zero privacy bathroom, if you're sitting on the toilet you are on full display to any other guests in your room because of the giant glass wall, but I was alone so no big deal. Outside is blank, a brown wall. Escalator takes you up to an ultra modern spacious lobby with subdued lighting and cozy spaces. Room was...
Cool vibe but looks like it is a little run down. A few of their elevators were down which resulted in long wait times. When asked about the elevators the staff denied that any were not working. Room service did a good job but didn't replace paper cups for water, no glass or plastic cups provided. The breakfast buffet was expensive and not that great, more like a continental breakfast that is usually...
I'm a native New Yorker and I love to visit the bars at this hotel. They each have a different feel. My favorite is the Library bar with fire place and leather couches. Cocktails are pricey, but delicious. You' re paying for the atmosphere. In the warm months there's an outdoor space and a bar/grill to provide for beverage and culinary needs. Check it out.
Great location for the price. Close to Central Park, Broadway theaters, and Hell's Kitchen restaurants and bars. Pseudo-trendy. Responsive, professional staff. Negatives: teeny tiny rooms and bathrooms, showers never seem to work well (and I've stayed here many times), lots of street noise and HVAC noise, and elevators can take forever at times. Friendly service. Great room. Awesome location right in the heart of times square. Family friendly. Very diverse hotel guests from all over the world. Parking was very easy worth the valet service provided.
I enjoyed my stay at the Edison. It's right in Times Square so I was really close to all of the action. The rooms were spacious enough, I had a comfortable queen sized bed. The bathroom was adequate, enough room to do the essentials. The only caveat is that because it's in Times Square, the noise was an issue. I'm a light sleeper, so I heard everything, but besides that it was a nice stay.
Unaware that free breakfast was a $5.00 value and/or bagged breakfast. Billed an extra $120.00 All fees should be presented up front and explained on website. Bottled water provided upon arrival but not after that. Room 2121 bathroom door doesn't close "because it's impossible to fix. "

Excellent location and friendly staff. The breakfast place is a cafe so not much choice there. There is a small bar and you can leave the luggage in the check room for the day, on check out. I thought my stay at the hotel was awesome. They upgraded my room to one with a view of Times Square and it did not disappoint. Also, the layout of the room was very interesting. It was also very modern and updated, with interesting decor. My biggest issue with it is it's a pain to get from the street level up to your floor if you have a stroller or wheelchair. We had a very pleasant and comfortable stay here. I wanted to splurge on a nice hotel close to Grand Central Station, and this is where I landed. The staff provided excellent service, but I should make note that you cannot just walk in and book a room. Everything must be done online. Once you have a confirmation number, only then will you be able to check-in to your accommodations. The room was clean and quiet. The air-conditioner was nice and cold...
I love the Westin chain of hotels. The staff is always extremely friendly and helpful, even in the rather brusque American way. Rooms are always clean and tidy, rather spacious even at the lower price range and always include a desk to work at. While the TV selection could be improved I noticed on my most recent trip that you can now sign into your YouTube and Netflix which is just fantastic!
This hotel is really nice. The rooms are spacious and there are so many pillows and towels. Room comes with a robe with was a nice touch. The parking is $65 a day and the snacks are expensive, but that's going to be expected. If you just want a nice hotel with a great view, and a good location (super great bakery and juice bar next door) this is a good place to stay.

Location is hard to beat and the beds are really comfortable. The shower was a total pain though (aimed towards the wall couldn't move it) and the TV barely functioned. Can't control your room temp!
Met up with a old friend from school who was visiting NYC. The hotel was close to grand central so getting there was easy. The hotel lobby and bar were very nice and quite swanky. The hotel management is indipendent, and overall they offer very big rooms (a bit old, some re-furniture will be good) and a good service. My room was ready before the check-in time, and they made me access immediately and pretty quick. They have some problems with the elevators in this period, but the service...
Rating: 3/5 Overall, my stay at this hotel was decent. The service was good, and the hotel was clean, which are two important factors for me when choosing accommodations. However, I was disappointed to discover upon arrival that they were in the process of upgrading the elevators. This meant that only a few elevators were operational, resulting in long wait times of over 5-10 minutes to go up and...
Clean hotel with good service. The rooms are small, which is fine except that our bathroom door actually hit the toilet when we tried to open it all the way. The elevators are limited (1/2 were broken when we were there). Even still, everyone was friendly and helpful, and you can’t beat the location, which is close to Central Park, Hell’s Kitchen and the Theater District.
Amazing hotel!! We are currently staying here right now for 4 nights. We love New York, and this is our second time staying at this hotel. Great location, Comfy & clean rooms, and very nice lobby. Highly recommend staying here.

Nice hotel but we were unaware of the $25/day mandatory fee they charge you per day you stay. You get a $25 credit toward the restaurant in the hotel. But who's to say I want to eat there in the hotel when I can find food that I actually want and for less. You are kind of forced to use the credit, if you don't you just wasted $25 each day you are there. The parking is a bit much as well. $40 per day
I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The rooms are very modern. My room had a small couch and table area that I used for work. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that there isn't a full-service restaurant on-site and the hotel does not offer room service.
Bottom Line, best overall Hotel I have stayed in NYC that is NOT $500+ a night. Rooms are spacious, very well kept. Great bar in the Hotel + a strip of really good neighborhood restaurants are an easy walk away. Brooklyn Bridge is real close and on a nice day, its great fun and good exercise to walk across and you end up in the Wall Street area !
I love the Marriott! Did not stay here but it is my parking destination for downtown Brooklyn. Great parking accommodations and wonderful restaurant and lounge so you can get here early and chill. Nice place for meetings too. I go to at least one event here a year and they are very well managed by the event staff.
Great location. Relatively friendly & helpful staff. However - the design of this hotel is atrocious. It's like the developer said "give me every Brooklyn cliche," and the designer obliged. The rooms have terrible furniture (though I will couch for the very comfortable beds) and lighting that just makes no sense. The lobby bar/grab & go is nice, but again - why this graffiti wall? It's really just...
This is a great hotel with friendly staff. Abbas in the lobby bar, and the housekeeper on the 18th floor went out of there way to recognize me every day I was there. Great work guys! The hotel is a little noisy for those of us not use to the city noise but they have YouTube available on the televisions and I was able to find an 11 hour white noise video on there and it helped immensely. I slept like...

Great hotel. I love the Y2K aesthetic. They really commit to the style. Staff was very nice and helpful. Baggage hold was great. Only complaint was that there is no dedicated fan/vent that you can turn on in in the bathroom area. The bathroom in our room was just a sliding glass door that wouldn't close all the way, so not much privacy. Other than that I loved it.
Great Location! You are 2-3 blocks from times square and major Broadway theatres. Lots of places to eat and have a drink. Plus the adjacent store is a liquor store. The area is busy but not excessively busy its a great hotel in general. The hotel breakfast is ~$20 a person, but its a hot breakfast with a decent selection. Well staffed too. Rooms are nice and look like the photos there is some noise...
Let's overlook the resort fee unexpectedly charged to my bill upon arrival at the hotel, which was cunningly concealed in the booking, leading me to believe I would pay a specific amount that turned out not to be the case. The hotel itself is absolutely impeccable, the rooms are brand new and meticulously maintained. Room service is excellent; although the concierge could be a bit more cheerful and...
Expensive but good hotel. Purely. Freshly. Pastel linen is soft. Toilet with a wonderful view. True, the doors can be opened from the foot. Thin walls, you can hear people just walking down the hallway. The staff is just super friendly. You can ask for hot water from the bar. There is no kettle in the room. Shower, hair dryer. This is a very good hotel for a reasonable price.
The hotel is lovely, super modern, and clean. The rooms are cozy and very clean, and set up very well. The bars are nice, but the drinks could be bigger for the prices they charge. All staff were nice, polite, and caring. I would recommend this hotel to others who want a small, but well spaced room!
This hotel is so cool. It's really modern and I loved the decor. The rooms are like being in Japan. Small but set up nicely with more than everything you need. The outside bar has lots of lounge areas and the bartenders were really nice. The drinks could be bigger for the price though. Yotel is a definite favorite of mine and you can't beat the location.

My daughter and I decided to spend the Thanksgiving holiday in the city. Some catch up time at a prime location close to all the attractions, the parade, and great restaurants. As an Elite member, check in was a breeze. I recommend downloading the app for quick access to updates regarding your reservation. We were accommodated on the 19th floor in a king room. The room smelled clean, was spacious...
Amazing location. Rooms were spacious. Beds on small side but comfy. Everyone we interacted with was very kind and helpful. The only cons: room had a musty smell and if you tell a 10 yr old you are going to send her something for her birthday, follow through! She was super excited when the front desk said they wanted to celebrate her birthday at check in and then super disappointed when they never...
My family stayed here for marathon weekend. We had two rooms that connected. The rooms were a nice size for NYC, clean and comfortable. We even had a view of Central Park even though I booked their basic room. I thought the service was great. Anytime I called down for something we needed it didn’t take long to get brought up to our room. Great location for the marathon very close to Central Park...
Lobby is beautiful. Elevators are horrifically slow and way too few of them. Our bathroom door doesn’t close. The bathroom doesn’t have a fan or vent, which I’ve never seen in a modern hotel. You can hear everything coming from the hallways, every word and every step. Bed is comfy. Location is obviously great. Wouldn’t stay again.
My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Thompson Central Park for our anniversary. The junior suite we had was great for the 2 of us! All the staff were friendly and kind! Breakfast at Parker’s was great! Location was superb. We took advantage of being so close to Central Park to do a bike ride in the park! We walked down to Broadway and Time Square easily. We would definitely stay here again...
Great location, great upper stories rooms with lounge access, music downstairs every night. Very cozy room.
