The Plaza, New York1 / 50
9.2
New York, 768 5th Avenue 🧭 Map
We went to the Plaza and had mimosas in the bar. Service was excellent. A little pricey, but worth the memory making experience
Very underwhelming and I think, probably still able to command the higher rates due to location and it's connection to films. Literally no service to speak to. The doorman was rude but other than that you hardly see anyone and who you do, they do not interact in any way. Is it poor service - no; but is there any service to speak about, not really.
Stayed at the start of December. An amazing hotel but hugely over priced due to it being a tourist attraction in its own right at this time of year. The rooms are huge, very comfortable and luxurious with a bathroom almost as big as some hotel rooms in Manhattan. Check in was very slow. Only one member of staff on reception meant we stood waiting for almost 30 minutes to check in. Got to our room...
I booked a four night stay in an Edwardian suite to spend thanksgiving in the city. The check in was very smooth and the property appears well kept with nice fragrance pumped right through the HVAC system. The entire place smelled nice as a result. I am a die hard fan of Fairmont hotels and have tried many of their properties over the years. Having stayed at their flagship hotel the Savoy in London...
Great Location and friendly staff
We went for Christmas lunch, it was very tranquil in the middle of the NYC hustle and bustle. The food options were great and the kids think it was the best buffet they have ever eaten.

Fantastic Gym! Dumbbells go up to 100 pounds and all equipment was in good working condition. Very clean with water dispensers and towels. Easy to access in basement level. Open 24hrs too The room has NO fridge or microwave and they're quite small. Clean and decently updated.
for a hotel of this category where you pay up to $400.00 per night for a room, you expect impeccable service and a perfectly functioning structure. None of this, the staff is very unfriendly and this applies to all departments, it is clear that they are dissatisfied with their work. The room was not well cleaned, there were hairs in the sink,. Breakfast costs an excessive $30.00 per person and is served...
Friendly and professional staff. Lobby bar was nice and had very quick service. The gym is great, with water (bottle or fruit flavoured) and towels provided. Elevator system is very efficient and easy to use no matter what floor you are on. Beds are comfortable, nice view on the 41st floor. Location is also very convenient no matter where you are headed.
Came to New York for a conference which was at this hotel, and we stayed there as well. The rooms were on the smaller side, but still functional. The hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable. A fault would be that you could hear guests in the rooms beside you or outside your door quite clearly (definitely minimal sound proofing). It’s in a great location to head out from and it’s up the street...
This was my third stay at this hotel. The beds are comfortable and clean. The location of this hotel is fabulous. It is right next to two metro lines and very close to Times Square and Broadway theatres. Starbucks coffee is located in the room as well. The shower is clean and there are plenty of towels for use. Staff is professional and efficient. The rooms are not huge but have all the space you need...
Have stayed here consistently on our almost yearly winter vacation trips to manhattan. Great location. Pleasant staff. Rooms are tight but clean and organized. Beds quite firm and comfortable. Convenient to most anywhere in the city

Not sure how this qualifies as a 5-star hotel. It was comfortable and clean, but a little on the small side. I guess I’m just not used to New York, I hear most hotel rooms are relatively small. The food at the restaurant had great food. The service was decent but nothing outstanding. I’d actually probably give it 3.5 stars especially when considering how expensive the room was.
We stayed for my birthday weekend and the hotel was perfect. We had a lovely brunch around the corner one day and in the hotel restaurant the other day. Service was extremely slow (considering they were not full). Waited 15 minutes before waiter even came to table. And that was after we asked.
This was a lovely hotel. I moved right in and had relaxed while on my business trip. Room service is pricey but I expected that when in NYC. That said, the food was delivered promptly and was delicious. The staff were courteous and helpful. My A/C stopped working and they had it back in order while I was out at dinner. No complaints! I'd happily stay there again.
Stayed a few nights here. Pretty small room but that's par for the course in this city, and it was very nicely appointed. Great view! Excellent service. I brought my cat and they were very accommodating. Will stay again.
The breakfast burrito has lamb in it, though the menu disagrees. I swear. Try it and see for yourself.
Really top botch funky hip hotel! Great food as well
The hotel is nearly without service. No doorman, even to help carry the luggage, no room service to deliver any food, no refrigerator in the room even to put water for cold drinking, no coffee machine... to be able to eat or drink anything you have to leave the room go down etc. Cleaning services were very good, everyday towels are changed, rooms are kept clean at all times.

Convenient location and the rooms were beyond our expectations! Very clean room, bright bathrooms, spacious for shower, and the hot water was stable. Staffs are very welcoming, and the housekeeping team was especially friendly and helpful. We were very touched by it and enjoyed our stayed there!
If you’re looking for a hotel that’s conveniently located within walking distance of pretty much anything worth seeing, Courtyard New York Manhattan/Chelsea is your spot. Seriously, you could stumble out of bed and find yourself at a landmark. And by “stumble,” I mean maneuver around the miniature maze that is your room. Yes, the rooms are small—about the size of a Manhattan studio apartment, minus...
The location is very central and in a walking distance to Moynihan / Penn Station and many public transportation options. Times Square was also easy to walk to. Many nearby restaurants in area. We arrived early around 11.30am and our room was ready, and they immediately offered us an early check-in. Room was decent with all necessities and comfy beds. Our room faced the back yard, so it was very quiet...
I was hesitant because some of the reviews scared me, but I booked regardless because it was a great location! Elevators were fast, my room was newly renovated and spacious (I booked the deluxe King room). It was spacious for us as a couple. We had space for our suitcases, excellent and responsive AC, comfy bed. Not noisy at all even though the room was by the elevators. I didn’t hear street noise...

Had dinner with friends at Koi. Crispy rice with spicy tuna, yellowtail jalapeno appetizer, a few rolls and a bottle of sake. Everything was delicious. Service was good, though for the price I'd expect great service.

We booked last minute for our first trip to NYC for New Year's in Times Square. Our stay was fantastic! I arrived very early on a red-eye, and had requested early check-in. Didn't hold out much hope for that at 9:30 am, but they offered to upgrade me to a junior suite that was ready for me for $50. The room was clean and bed comfortable. Our only complaint was the AC. It was very noisy and made it hard to sleep Sasha at the front desk was wonderful!!
We stayed at the hotel for 4 days, and absolutely loved it. We were able to check in early around 12 PM. The front desk receptionist is very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable, with an amazing view of the Empire State Building.
A fantastic hotel, situated in a great location for exploring New York. Stayed here for 7 days with breakfast included. Room was quite spacious, clean and comfortable. We stayed for 2 weeks. The room was amazing on the 24th floor with WOW views over New York. The breakfast was good but after 14 days of eating more or less the same things it became redundant. We enjoyed our stay here. The room was not large, but we didn't need large...we came to see New York! The concierge was a wonderful bonus and helped us with a wonderful Korean place to eat and things to do. The bell man stored our bags because we arrived before our check in time and we wanted to get busy sightseeing. Try the hot chocolate at the hotel. You won't regret it.
Reaaly enjoy this place. Very welcome staff and great rooms, price is perfect. Also, there is a bar in the hotel on roof with view on Empire State Building. It is not a fashionable bar, but very cozy with friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel! You honestly can't get a better location for a first time trip to Manhattan. The staff was helpful and very friendly. The room was nice. Good location, generously sized rooms and bathroom, could definitely benefit from a little makeover, not many outlets, the a/c is unbelievably loud, the window blinds are broken or disfunctional, minimal drawer storage. I still would recommend it as location is great and service is good.
Stayed at Hotel Hugo in late August. We were supposed stay for 3 nights but had to cut our trip short to 2 nights (due to a medical emergency). Had an incredible stay at Hotel Hugo during my first trip to New York! My hotel had a beautiful bay view and high end decor. It felt very luxurious. Highly recommend staying here; I’ll be back!
Decent hotel great location. The hotel itself was ok. Small as any hotel in NYC. Good service for most simple things (we didn't ask much). Shower was quite nice considering small bathroom. But walls were thin. You can hear every conversation outside clearly. There was also construction going on during our March 2018 visit. Which lead to very loud morning noise starting at around 7am. Very nice hotel. The room was a little small, but the staff of the hotel was absolutely wonderful. We only used the room for some sleep and getting ready which met all of our needs. You are only a small walk from Times Square too. Would recommend this hotel.
We just stayed at the Best Western in NYC. We had a nice stay at this hotel. Jackie and Rachel employees at the reception were very attentive to our needs. We appreciated their professionalism. The hotel was very clean, the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast very good. I highly recommend this hotel.
This hotel was great! It was close enough to Times Square, the Library, and the Empire State Building that I could get to any of them quickly and easily, but far enough away to be kind of quiet. This hotel is nicely situated in the mid-town area, very near the subway, and on a convenient line. The staff are exceptional, having taken care of our every need during the week we stayed. Wonderful location, close to all amenities and restaurants. The hotel itself is tired and not well kept. We entered the elevator upon arrival to find a dirty towel and wrappers on the floor. Perfect hotel for a perfect getaway. Everything is within walking distance. I am a regular visiting NYC for both business and leisure. When I am here with family, we live staying at the Marquis.
