First: the staff of the Empire Hotel were wonderful. Everyone in all types of positions- friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, and possessing a great sense of humor.
Our room was fine, but a bit small and tired. Things just seemed a bit worn out. However the bed was very comfortable, and plenty of hot water. The bathroom was tiny. I was excited to see a makeup mirror affixed to the wall, but the lighting was so dim I still couldn’t see. Room safe didn’t work and I didn’t bother to let the staff know.
Location is fantastic, particularly as we prefer the Upper West Side.

We were really pleased with this hotel. The location is perfect if you intend to use the subway. We didn't go to Lincoln Center but it's right across the street.
The front desk is very helpful. I had a room with some problems and they found me a different room that was really nice.
The bar upstairs has a great view, great drinks and great small bites.
We'll be back.

Location, entrance, hall and reception 5* Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the rooms is not that good. Sometimes a powerful vacuum cleaner would help clean the rooms. There is no ventilation in the rooms and the air conditioning works intermittently and is very noisy. In our case, we managed to check in only after 4 p.m., even though we arrived around 1 p.m. and the receptionist promised that maybe we could check in sooner. But the view outside the windows was 6*

I think we have found our home in the city. The Empire was everything we wanted while spending a week in NYC. For a week's stay, we needed a suite and the room was perfect. We had one of the King Corner Suites and we couldn't have had a better room. The view on 2 sides was terrific - a view up Broadway and Columbus on one side, and Lincoln Center right outside our other 2 windows. And of course there was no better location in the city. Lots of natural light created a beautiful ambiance. Service was attentive and extremely friendly. We can't wait to return!

The hotel is in a prime location, clean for the most part, close to a lot of stores and food options. Decent price for rooms a night. No coffee or tea machines in the rooms or options for either at the hotel. Only basic channels to watch on the television and service are not compatible with mirroring your devices or streaming app features. There is no streaming app feature at all. Staff are friendly, helpful, and courteous. Check-in is at 3pm, our rooms were not available until 4:30pm. I would book again due to the prime location the hotel sits in; I now know what to expect and how to plan my stay in the future. It's definitely worth checking out.

I stayed there in January, a couple of years ago. I checked into the room and the heater didn't work. I made a polite request (I used to work in the hospitality industry and know how things can go wrong) to the front desk to have the Engineering Department look at the heater. I left my room and went out for about 5 hours. I came back to the room and it was still ice cold. I made another polite request to the front desk for engineering assistance. They were polite and apologized to me. 10 minutes later, there was a bellman at my door. I was moved to a HUGE suite, no extra charge. For the rest of my stay, I could have entertained half of NYC in that suite.

We loved our stay at The Empire. The location is killer! We loved how close we were to Columbus Circle, the park, and of course a few subway stations. The room was surprisingly spacious, clean, and the bed was comfortable. We'll be back again soon!

Make sure to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ. ᴄᴏᴍ when booking a place. They compare thousands of booking websites and usually will have rates a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later! This resort is one of the best in the area. I have been staying here for a very long time. If you choose this place you will love it I'm sure!
Great location, great room location- center front, well decorated. Mr. Luis at the front desk during our check- in and during our stay was exceptional! The male staff were kind, helpful, polite and friendly, they made us feel right at home. It was reasonably priced and I'd definitely stay there again.
