The room space and cleanliness were not up to my expectations, also I asked them to fill the hand cream in the bathroom and they did not do it even though they said it would be done
Overall, we were disappointed in the quality of our accommodation at the Hilton Garden Inn. Despite spending $500.00 per night, the rooms are only cleaned every other full day, which meant that over our 4 night stay (check-in on Saturday afternoon, check-out on Wednesday morning), we only had our room tended to once. Another issue was that the shower was dirty and this was not addressed in the one clean we received. In addition the room was very small, which in fairness can be expected in NYC, but nevertheless was surprising given how small it was. Further, the front desk staff was not particularly helpful when we inquired about storing our luggage upon arriving slightly early for our 3pm check-in time. Their general indifference and lack of attentiveness during our stay assured us that we would not stay at a Hilton Garden Inn in New York again. Photos included below reflect the state of the bathroom/shower in our room (#411).
Pros:
On the positive side, the location is good with good proximity to multiple subway lines and Central Park. However there are many alternatives nearby which share these benefits.
Overall:
We recommend booking the Marriott next door or another hotel with a better overall rating. Do not make our mistake.
