Horrific Experience – Avoid at All Costs

I recently stayed at the Hyatt Chelsea, and it was hands down the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Upon entering the room, I was immediately hit with an overpowering stench of body odor. The room was filthy, and the foul smell made it impossible to feel comfortable or relaxed. As a loyal World of Hyatt member, this was beyond unacceptable and far from the quality I’ve come to expect.

The situation worsened with the front desk staff, particularly an employee named Sasha. When I politely raised concerns about the room’s condition, she was shockingly rude and dismissive. She outright refused to provide any solution, denied a refund, and refused to cancel the reservation. Things took an outrageous turn when I informed her that I would be recording our interaction for documentation—Sasha escalated the situation by calling the NYPD! There was absolutely no reason for this, as I had committed no crime. Her hostile behavior left me feeling that this was either racially motivated or anti-Semitic.

To make matters worse, Sasha now has access to my private and personal information, which is extremely concerning given her irrational and aggressive behavior. I am genuinely worried for my family’s safety after this encounter.

This hotel is a complete disaster—dirty rooms, rude staff, and an atmosphere that makes you feel unwelcome and unsafe. If you value cleanliness, respect, and professionalism, steer clear of the Hyatt Chelsea. I will never be returning, and I strongly advise others to avoid this place. Absolutely disgraceful.
