Loews Regency Hotel

The location of this property is truly exceptional, but unfortunately, the overall experience fell short of expectations. While the check-in process was smooth, our room was not ready upon arrival. However, we were fortunate to receive an upgrade through Amex FHR, which was a nice touch.

The restaurant experience, however, was deeply disappointing. Service was virtually non-existent; once your order is taken, the server seems to vanish, leaving no one available to refill coffee or attend to other needs. An automatic 18% service fee is added to the bill, with the expectation of an additional tip, despite the lackluster service. The staff appeared more focused on performing busywork than responding to guests’ attempts to get their attention.

At check-out, I encountered another issue. I requested a printed bill from Robert at the front desk and noticed that my Amex $125 credit had not been applied. When I inquired, he claimed the credit did not apply to breakfast and refused to adjust the bill. I had to show him a text exchange with their team outlining the credit rules. Only after he consulted with “management” was the $125 credit applied, but this unnecessary hassle left a bad impression.

If not for the prime location, I would have opted for The Wall Street Hotel or The Beekman, both of which offer superior service, more comfortable accommodations, and better dining experiences—at a significantly lower price point. The Wall Street Hotel, in particular, stands out for its exceptional service and outstanding restaurant.

I will not be returning to this property.
