We cannot be happier with our stay at the Ludlow! This will be our only pick when staying in NYC from now on.
Service: From the email responses, check-in, housekeeping, the restaurant (on Mother’s Day of all days) to check-out, the staff exceeded all expectations. I would like to give a special thank you to the housekeeping staff who we so friendly.
Room – King Studio: The room was well appointed and very comfortable. It was approx. 250 sq. Ft and had lots of room to move around. The bathroom shower is one you never want to leave and if you you’re that kind of person you can show off your goods to lower Manhattan through the large window. You can also keep the curtain closed if you’re a little more modest. The bed and pillows were super premium with a bed being a little on the soft side. There was a large wardrobe and plenty of hangers. There is a fully stocked bar fridge and some snacks for a fee.
Check-in/out: Very fast and friendly. Check-out is also at noon which is rare, and they have no issues letting you check-out a little later if there is availability.
Restaurant: We only had Sunday brunch which I’m not sure if it’s only on Sunday or special for Mother’s Day but it’s easily the best brunch ever! Gluten free was not an issue.
Views: We were on the 13th floor (1311) and were located on the corner which allowed for a stunning view of the city.
AMEX Platinum: We are Platinum member’s, and this gave us a room upgrade (based on availability) and $75 credit to spend in amenities which paid for brunch. We’re happy with these benefits and would highly recommend this card for just that reason alone.
Extras: As this was a special wedding anniversary weekend we were treated to a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine

Really good hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I found the rooms to be very modern and comfortable. One thing that would be missing was a table. One downside is the hotel's location in terms of homeless people on the streets.

Great views of the city from the rooftop, lots of amenities available. Straight along Katz

Beautifully designed rooms and cool decor, and in a brilliant area of town with cool bars and restaurants. Breakfast in the room was very expensive, but it was also great when it came. Not your typical hotel experience of marble floors and grand lobbies, but no less thoughtfully designed and furnished. Forget the Empire State Building, the view from this hotel's public rooftop by the gym is great. For some reason I only took pictures of the bathroom, but hey, it looks pretty swanky there.

First, right next to the legendary Katz, what more you need?! Even though I didn’t taking pictures of hallway and lobby, this build is the most glamorous one in the 30+ rental building I saw, because it’s so high up and nothing stands higher next to the ludlow, you will have a breathtaking view at any corner, or rooftop! And my guide, she is vey nice and super beautiful, like Victoria’s Secret model jump out from the screen, and she is so patient even with broken ankle, she walked entire building with me, really appreciate! And for the room, it’s got a tons of storage space. maybe a bit of outdated on the color combo for the room and kitchen, but everything is nice any solid, not a cheap staff. The only downside that prevented me to choose the ludlow, is lack of in room laundry. If you don’t care about it, I have great news for you, they have in house laundry with SAME day drop off service!

It is a very nice hotel with super nice staff. THE rooms are a bit small but absolutely clean. The lobby bar is very nice. They offer a good choice of tasty and interesting cocktails. The fries are fantastic! A Perfect place to hang around and meet people. Close by are tons of bars and restaurants. Nightlife is good there. Definetly a Place to stay for a NewYork trip

This is one of the coolest hotel I have ever seen . You might think about pricing but if u look at the location it’s one the great location in Manhattan and very close to public transit . Hotel employees are very welcoming helpful. Love the lobby decoration as everything looks antique. And if u stay here don’t forget about corner famous Katz deli .

A beautiful hotel in a great location. The price point for this kind of premium establishment is totally to be expected, but with this come certain expectations, and these were sadly not met in any instance on my recent visit. The drinks were average and the table service was woefully poor, with the waiting staff mostly huddled together in their private corner, rather than paying attention to the needs of their customers. And when they did engage, they made no attempt to impress a welcoming or invited feel on to the guests. Overall, very very unsatisfied.

Place is modern and clean w very friendly staff. Did not eat there but the large restaurant and bar and sitting areas were always crowded so they must be doing something right.
Rooms are small like the old hotel it must have been redone as a dark moody place which is good I guess if you have 30 year old eyes. Lighting is all mood, walls and floors are all dark. Limited hot water at 10’AM.

Beautiful decor and excellent service. Didn't try their restaurant but the hotel is so perfectly placed for cafes and restaurants around it. Sofia on reception is so lovely.
