This is one of the best hotels in NYC, and it’s not just because of its prime location, great pricing, and fantastic amenities. What truly sets it apart is the exceptional staff, from the front desk and concierge to the service and cleaning teams. The rooms are stylish and incredibly comfortable, but it’s the outstanding hospitality that makes this place unforgettable. A special shoutout to Rob, Angie, and Nikki at Moxy East Village—you embody the perfect blend of a warm welcome and the comforts of home. Thank you for taking such great care of me during my stay. I’ll be coming back again and again because of you!

This Hotel was honestly one of the best places to stay! This was my first time in NYC and the room was gorgeous, the staff were so friendly and helpful. We also had the pleasure of meeting Paris who was an absolute sweetheart and so welcoming. It is also a great location with so much to see and do around here. 10/10 would recommend this hotel and definitely will be staying here again!

Our stay at Moxy NYC East Village was excellent, made even better by Mr. Paris, the Head of Security. He was incredibly courteous and went out of his way to help us locate an online purchase delivered to the hotel, even setting it aside for us to pick up late at night after checking out. The rooms at Moxy are small but extremely functional, with clever design touches that make the most of the space. The property also has a great café and bar, perfect for unwinding. The location is ideal—just a short walk from the Union Square subway station, making it easy to explore the city. Thanks, Moxy, and especially Mr. Paris, for a memorable stay!

This location is gorgeous! Upon entering, the staff were amazing and very attentive! The room was beautiful and really gave me “loft vibes”. The room was very clean and the hospitality staff servicing the rooms were equally amazing! The location is great and public transportation is near. The only thing I would change about this hotel is the menu for the Alphabet bar. I found that the menu was very limited and I found myself bringing in outside food for the evening. Paris, the head of security was so helpful and guided me to the rooftop bar associated with the hotel. Paris was very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and gave great recommendations.

This hotel blew me away in terms of service. I'm an avid traveler both for personal and business trips and I have yet to encounter a staff as awesome as this one! This is a great, central location on the lower east side, with amazing restaurant options nearby. The hotel itself has a rooftop bar that is a must visit. The rooms are very well and efficiently designed, they have thought of everything! They are small but comfortable and beautiful. The beds were very comfortable and the water pressure was great! But my favorite thing about this property is the people, from Mac to his entire staff team they were so friendly, always willing to help and just the best people. I wish I could give them 100 stars!

Stayed in the Moxy this weekend for a bachelorette party. Upon arrival, the front desk staff was so amazing and accommodating. They were genuine and I wish I had the name of the gentleman at the front desk. He was so sweet. The rooms were a little small, but that is to be expected in New York. The beds are comfortable and the shampoo and conditioner smells amazing! There are so many cool spaces inside the hotel to explore. The decor is awesome. The Moxy is in a great location close to everything. They held all our bags until we were ready to leave without any issue. It was a great hotel experience and we have already spoke about when we will come back. Thank you to everyone that helped us out this weekend. It is truly appreciated.

This hotel is so quaint, and the location was within walking distance to several great restaurants and shopping. We met Hady who was was really great and responsive when we had any questions. The staff take a lot of pride in customer service and are super friendly and helpful. I loved our room. It was modern and beautiful. I haven’t slept so peaceful in so long. The beds are comfortable. I wanted to stay in bed and just stare out at the rain all morning. There is a small cafe on the first floor and the coffee and food is fresh and delicious. An A+ experience and made our visit so awesome!

So before I tell about all the good, just a few warnings: the rooms don't have things like fridges or microwaves but they will put these in your room if you ask ahead of time. Just keep in mind the rooms are small compared to what you might get for similar price in other cities (or maybe even other parts of nyc). And yes, it is quite pricey. Also the elevators are slow.
Now all that aside, it is truly an awesome location for a stay in the city, and it is overall a very well run hotel. So much fun stuff between Union Sq, Washington Sq Park, and St. Mark's, all at your fingertips and short walking distance. Nice food and drink served in the hotel itself too, and the rooftop bar next door is cool. The rooms are small but have *awesome* comfy beds, showers, and a sensible layout. Even though it is a noisy neighborhood, your room will be peaceful.

Overall great property, location and team. Had a 5 night stay. Nikki on the front desk is fantastic! She really made our stay. Amenities are pretty good overall. We were visiting to see the city, not just hang around the hotel. Rooms are small but efficient.
Negative that cost a 5th star: Alphabet Bar staff is not very friendly or hospitable. They seem to have forgotten they are there for the guests, not the other way around. One of the bartenders with a dark beard and ponytail is particularly rude. We took our bar business elsewhere as a result. Lots of great establishments in the area that welcome your business. Moxy needs to really take a close look at the team in this part of their business.
Didn't let it ruin our trip though. Would definitely stay here again for convenience and can still enjoy other establishments in the neighborhood that really appreciate your business!
