MOXY NYC Times Square

Perfect location for our first stay in NYC, close to the subway and otherwise very central for walking to different places. Super cool decor inside, our room was more spacious than I expected, very clean. The beds were comfortable. All staff are very courteous and super helpful. The breakfast/bar/space on the 2nd floor was a nice touch. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Look, this is not a 5 star property but my experience with them was 5 stars.

It’s modern, quirky, cool and very efficiently created. The rooms are tiny but they are so smartly made - I love good design - and they provide everything you need. (Just nothing you don’t!)

The details are thoughtful - like steamers instead of irons - and enough plugins for all of my electronics. If you want to work or chill with a good book, I suggest leaving the tiny rooms and going to enjoy the cool vibes by the coffee shop / bar. They’ve great views too and upbeat tunes to keep you energized. Live music some nights of the week and a gym to get your sweat on first.

The meeting spaces are actually really impressive and the location in the city is super convenient and walkable. Just lower your pretentiousness and you won’t be disappointed. 😉

It was a decent hotel.

Room:
We asked for a quiet room, but the air conditioning in the room was very loud.
Also, the cleaning smell in the room was very strong, probably covering for other smells. It faded by the next day.
The location was decent for walking around the city and getting to the subway.

Service
The service team was welcoming and excellent.

- Room size was tiny. No place to store anything

+ Very close to Time Square, Empire State Building Ordered breakfast through Butler Service and it was excellent. Rooms are small but efficiently laid out. Loved it and just what you need for a stay in NYC. Hotel was very clean. All of the staff was great, making you feel comfortable and customer focused.

+ Location, ambience, cleanliness.
- No fridge, no iron (only mini steamer), no desk, very small room.

Good Russian staff is present, the usual Breakfast, room clean enough

If Google gave me the option, I’d give around 4.5 stars. I stayed here for a weekend with friends. It’s the only hotel I’ve seen with bunk beds as an option which worked perfectly for our group. The vibe of the hotel was nice (Millennial/Gen Z) oriented and the staff were attentive. The room was definitely small but that’s par for the course for Manhattan. The layout of the room could be better. There was an awkwardly placed television and the shower configuration resulted in a lot of water pooling on the floor. Pillows were a little flat. The sound bar you could connect your phone to, however, was very nice. I also appreciated the free drink token upon check in and luggage storage was convenient. I didn’t see the gym so I can’t comment on that. I saw some signs for cool activities like yoga. Overall, a solid hotel in a central location near all the bus and train drop offs at Penn Station perfect for a weekend with friends for 20-somethings. I would stay here again.
