Reviews
Overall, my stay at this hotel was decent. The service was good, and the hotel was clean, which are two important factors for me when choosing accommodations. However, I was disappointed to discover upon arrival that they were in the process of upgrading the elevators. This meant that only a few elevators were operational, resulting in long wait times of over 5-10 minutes to go up and down. It would have been appreciated if this information had been communicated ahead of time, especially considering the high price per night. Hopefully, the elevator upgrade will improve the overall experience for future guests.
We paid the room only. But at the end of our stay, we had an invoice with "Destination fees" description, which adds ~$40 per night we were in the hotel!
I can't forgive that. When we pay online, we expect to pay in full. Not to have hidden (and so high!) extra charges.
This clearly looks like a scam and for that reason I would totally advise against this hotel which has no consideration for its customers.
Good:
The hotel is well located and clean.
Improvements:
The window isolation could be improved a lot (it is very noisy and I had to sleep earplugs).
The room was clean and stocked with what we needed, though it wasn't perfect. It had a mini-fridge and a TV, but there was no microwave or coffee maker. The main issue we had was that the heater and air conditioner did not work properly in the room, so we had to open the window to cool it down. I reported the issue to the front desk, and they said they would send maintenance to fix it. However, it didn't seem like they did anything because the problem persisted. Another issue was that only one elevator worked, but we managed to work around it.
- Room outdated …. Wall paper stripping off
- Facilities fee is unreasonable, particularly for one overnight stay. Checkout took way too much time.
- Elevators lacking for the amount of people using them.
- Some of the staff at check-in were rude. And I would have like to have a mini fridge and a kettle in the room. Just minor things - they in no way negatively affected our stay.
- Poor level of service, room not cleaned properly, missing Concierge, couldn’t call down to front desk, housekeeping did not answer calls. They only good thing about the hotel was it’s location. The cherry on the cake was no prices in the snack shop, and I understood why when two litre bottles of water were ring up at $17.00, what a rip-off.
