This hotel could easily be rated with five stars but we had a couple of issues: a bathroom door that would not close and being served room service food in paper bags with plastic picnic utensils (also one dish was cold and one was incomplete). With two restaurants and a bar fully open, there is no longer any excuse for doing room service the way it was done during the pandemic. The food and service...
Went here for a conference, staff are very nice, help facilitate the event, very professional and artistic ambiance. Food places near by to eat if you don't want the Cafe. Great environment for learning! Also the room was cozy, beds very comfortable but bring your own pillow if you like firm pillows. Pillows are very soft.
A decent stay at the Hyatt Sacramento. Service was great. Vines restaurant was surprisingly fantastic. Bed was comfortable and the AC worked well. Good views of the capital. Fitness center is connected to the hotel but you have to go outside to access. The wifi needs some significant improvement as it continually dropped throughout my stay. Great location near the capitol building.
Great ammenities while we were here for an annual banquet. Service staff is nice, attentive and delicious food. Never an issue when we come here and clean restrooms are a plus. Space is great for large company parties as they accommodate and decorate and allow for special functions. I would say the hall speaker system could be updated as the volume was low and somewhat muffled.
The Hyatt Regency Sacramento is a modern multi-story hotel. The rooms are average sized with two chairs. The beds are comfortable. Only two small drawers are provided. There is a room safe, ironing board, iron and hair dryer. Lots of electrical outlets are provided at bedside. The bathroom is small with no place to hang a cosmetic travel bag. Incidentally, if you pick up one of the cute, expensive...
I've been here so many times--almost always perfect--and even if not perfect they fix it immediately. Great service. Good food. And the location is good for downtown things: the Capitol, Kings… My favorite hotel in Sacramento.

Great location with very friendly staff. Comfy beds, great views of the city from higher levels, lots of restaurants and sights nearby.
Came here for a work related conference/training for 3 days recently. Easily accessible to the downtown area and across the street from the Sacramento Convention Center. The hotel staff were very nice. Bathrooms were constantly being cleaned which everyone appreciated. The main ballroom is large with a lot of space to dine and start off the day dancing with the DJ playing good old school jams. The...
Everyone was really friendly we got an early check-in and a late check out. The door guy welcomed you every time you went in or out even though it was 100°. He kept a smile on his face. The rooms could be cleaner the leather wall was covered in dust you could write your name on it the entry light didn't work. Furniture is a little dated but the beds were comfortable and clean. Their bath products smell...
Nice hotel and great location for the convention center. The Capitol is also walking distance as are lots of places to eat and drink. The only issue is that the elevator gets crowded when large groups get out of meetings or from the convention center at the same time. If your get a room on a lower floor you can take the stairs and save a ton of time waiting for an elevator that might be full.

I have been staying in this hotel for almost 13 years now. I know each and everyone from the General Manager to the room service. Excellent services of the managers my friend Jeorge and Martin. The facility is under renovations right now. But I still stay and support to have profits for workers and the property. This hotel is just like my second home. I felt so comfortable if everything and anything...
Nice hotel right across from Arden mall. Hotel was clean and service was good. Place was a little out dated and hallways were kind of hot. Overall nice hotel. Love their cookies!
This hotel has a courteous and attentive staff. There is a fun bar on-site and good opportunities for food nearby. The Arden mall is across the street as well. The property is clean but a bit dated. I also stayed a week in the Folsom wing and was awakened by fire engine sirens almost nightly.
The hotel rooms have plenty of space. My favorite was the bathroom - it looked so neat and amazing. The design was beautiful. I brought my dog there and she was so hyper and excited the whole time we stayed there!

Stayed overnight to attend an event. The good: The interaction we had with the staff was good . They were helpful and pleasant. The rooms are nice enough. We did not get a chance to eat in hotel so cannot speak to that. The bad: This place is in serious need of maintenance. The hotel is next door to the freeway, shopping centre and concert venue for our gig with The Who.Also the free breakfast in the Morning was very nice. The Amtrack rail station is a 5 minute walk away.
I am so happy overall!! Can’t complain about this hotel. They gave everything I requested above and beyond — to think they thought about putting fridge in our room for my son’s food. I really appreciate them! The best service I could ever ask for. So nice of them. I will be back and highly recommend this hotel. Thank you guys!!
Bumpy start but... Had a few issues with our first 2 rooms, but in the end, the staff went above and beyond. The staff was amazing. And a huge Thank You to Nick the maintenance man. This guy needs more recognition and a raise. We were more than happy with how everything worked out. Our room was fantastic and the location of this hotel is the best. Highly recommend this hotel. We will be back to stay...
Clean, comfortable room and a great location, lots of walkable food options and entertainment. The gentleman who checked us in was a pleasure. The only thing I didn't like was the parking situation ($20), but they are up front about it when booking, so it wasn't a surprise. We normally try to avoid big chains in favor of supporting smaller venues, but this was by far the most affordable option that...
We had the best experience. Brought 3 kids to a convention in Sac in 100+degree heat. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. They kept us hydrated with free ice cold waters. What can I say? Simply the BEST! As a trucker, I do many layovers at various different locations. The desk clerks who checked me in and out were extremely friendly, courteous, and efficient. As tired as I am after a run, it’s important to me that I get to bed soon after arrival and not to spend too much time waiting in line, or checking in. This process was very quick. It was a great place to lay my head down after a long travel day. The staff was super friendly. The breakfast was good. The location is close to the highway, so you can hear the noise.
THE VIEW FROM THE NINTH FLOOR WAS GREAT!!!, THE BED WAS COMFORTABLE AND THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS. NINTH FLOOR I FELT SPEICAL. VERY MUCH SO. IT"S CLEAN AND COZY. I RECOMMEND YOU GIVE IT A TRY. ALSO, VANS THAT CAN TAKE YOU TO THE MALL OR AIRPORT. YOU FEEL RIGHT AT HOME.
Facility is very pleasant. Rooms are nice but are dated in appearance. They look like a well cared for grandparents home. Rooms are small and can use an update. With that said, do not let this deter you from staying here. Overall, I would stay here any day.
The hotel is very nice and well kept, staff is friendly and helpful. Conference rooms were a great size and we had everything we needed. When we experienced tech issues we were helped right away. I had the Caesar salmon salad, the salad was delicious. The restaurant and bar inside came in handy as the hotel isn't near much. The shower water did not get hot, lukewarm at best, the phone in the room...
This hotel was spotless, the food extremely delicious, the room comfortable, the pool pristine, and the amenities amazing. But my favorite part of my stay was the graciousness and friendliness of EVERY staff member that I encountered. I did not encounter one staff member who didn't greet me with a smile, accommodated my needs, and just wanted me to have a nice stay.
Easy to get to off of the freeway, close yo the Arden fair mall, and good food nearby. Very nice staff members. The Starbucks located inside makes great coffee!

It wasn't bad for the price. The breakfast was simple, but better than many places that offer free breakfast. The A/C didn't work well in my room, so I didn't sleep well. And you could tell that they mostly slapped a coat of paint over everything, rather than do a real update.

Great clean and quiet hotel. Front desk staff were friendly. The breakfast was the best part of my morning. Cooked to order omelets were delicious and quick. Variety of food to choose from in the buffet. Walking distance to the California State Historic Train Museum and the Leland Stanford governor's mansion. Would definitely stay there again.
Location was very nice. Able to walk the river, check out the tower bridge and across the street is Old Sacramento. The rooms were nice, clean and the entire hotel and staff were amazing. Was there for a wedding and what a great place the get ready for the wedding party. Living room in the front of the room and the bed room in the back. Plenty of room for 6 guys to get ready.
The only thing I would say that wasn’t ok was the view from our room. We paid for the “river view” and that’s all we got. We had room 405 and it couldn’t see the tower unless we bent our heads way to the left. Room 405 is around the corner and the tower view disappears almost completely. Disappointed given with tax the room was almost $300 for the night. Room itself was a standard Embassy Suites room...
Loved my stay at Embassy Suites by Hilton the staff are so friendly and welcoming. There continental breakfast is the best. They cook to order omelettes. There are a variety of breakfast choices. The best is all you could drunk happy hour everyday. All for free including breakfast. The hotel room is spacious and comfortable. Oh and the beds let's just say you'll get a good night's sleep.
Solid hotel almost dropped.four stars but it is missing some stuff. But this is on the high end of three stars. Very friendly staff, super spacious rooms, great breakfast in the morning. They use their restaurant which elevates the breakfast far above the standard eggs and bacon. Great location too. If you can get a room with a view of the bridge it's really pretty especially at night.

Friendly front desk staff, nice outdoor pool, and clean rooms. The halls are quite loud and there appeared to be a rowdy group either in the room next to us or across the way. It made me worried that it would make for a bad night's sleep but they were much more courteous at night so we were able to sleep without any interruptions.
If anyone is looking for great deals on hotels go to HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around... We only stayed for the night, but it was comfortable. The area in the main lobby to buy food was delicious!
Nice hotel. The room is well designed and comfortable. The walls seem a bit thin so I could hear the sounds of showers, tvs, and even coughs from my neighbors. Staff is knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. The front desk even remembered I was here for an interview and wished me good luck.
If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around... It's just a hotel tbh. Nothing spectacular and nothing really negative. The fourth star goes to the staff, they were either really friendly or at least good at pretending. The room was dusty. I was close to the elevator and that thing was incredibly loud, but not as loud as the a/c, had to cut it off to sleep. The street noise was strangely loud too, despite the small window and high floor. I didn...
I've stayed here at the Citizen many times over the past several years. Before I moved to Sacramento, I would visit for weekend trips with friends or my significant other and almost always stayed here. There's something really fun and interesting about the historical and political theme of the hotel that I'm drawn to. The service I've received has always been stellar and accommodating. Very nice hotel. The room was small, but that is to be expected in a building that was built in the early 1900s. The room was well furnished, had a comfortable bed, nice toiletries, and we had a great view of the park. Had an excellent stay. The place is super cool and has an old school classy appearance. Rooms were nice and everyone that worked there was also. Definitely would return. Grange has legit food and some great house cocktails. Very good bartenders there also.
Staff were great and helped me out leading up to the California marathon, including taking my pre-prepared food to their staff room to heat up. Lobby was nice and done up for Christmas. The hotel is walking distance to most of downtown and Old Sacramento, but there were some strange characters in the area. Rooms were clean, quiet and modern. Here’s the thing… The hotel itself is very nice and the staff are great. I love the atmosphere inside. However, I have stayed here a few times now and have never once been able to sleep until about 3 AM. I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for just one night but the customer service was good. They have a restaurant on the premises. It only serves breakfast right now and the breakfast menu is limited. The room was clean and I didn't see any type of foul play or anything in the hallways. I wouldn't mind staying at this hotel again.
Not upscale at all. Check in was fast and easy the bed is very comfortable as for the rest think Quality Inn instead of Crown Plaza. So I'd pay $65 -$80 a night here but they charge more than that so you decide 🤔 hot tub works, pool is nice and cold. No microwave in the room and there is a small fridge. 1 to 2 night max type of place.
One of the cleaner hotels I have stayed in during my business trip, but the rooms could use a little maintenance. The most obvious issue being the wallpaper. It appeared that every strip of wall paper was having a war with the wall and trying its best to remove itself. Almost every seam was beginning to curl away from the wall. Aside from that I have nothing to complain about. I slept soundly and...
Super comfortable beds. Friendly hosts. The hot tub wasn't very warm and that's the only reason I didnt give it a 5 star.. The hotel is a very good price. No free breakfast but they do have a buffet next to the lobby inside the hotel. I believe it was about $14 per person. Kind of expensive but the selections and quality was pretty good.

Not sure why there are bad reviews. I’m platinum elite, stay regularly at Marriott properties, and this is quite a good one. In fact, it puts all other Residence Inns to shame. The downstairs lobby area is...
The two-bedroom suites are great! Very spacious and clean. Kitchen works well for leftovers, breakfasts, etc. Good location. Parking leaves a little to be desired in a tight adjacent garage that doesn't feel super safe, but I've stayed here twice without issue.
Parking is a significant challenge. The hotel sells parking with another vendor which is not a problem. But the room keys do not work well at the garage. The staff is very helpful but it's a poor option for parking. The guest would be better off finding their own parking.
A good hotel that's in a great location around the Capitol Mall and directly across from the Rose Garden. I really like the hotel bar which is much more unique then your common Hotel bar. My boyfriend & I stayed at the Kimpton Sawyer this past weekend after attending a concert at Golden 1 Center. We were greeted by very friendly staff that were helpful and considerate. The hotel was quiet despite being in a busy area. Plenty of shops and dining choices. The room was a bit older. What in the meth is going on here? There was broken bottles and garbage flooding the parking lot. Pretty gross and the atmosphere gives off bad vibes. They have security there which is reassuring... but the whole thing is sketch. The hall ways smell terrible the carpet must be old. The building is also old. Lucky though the insides of the rooms are good and not to bad. I was comfortable.
I would of given a 5 star but being that my body temperature runs hot all the time, the fact you are not given the ability to control the temperature of your own room was not to my liking. Who knew there was such a nice place to rent a room in such a questionable neighborhood ? 4th floor room was warm & stuffy but very clean comfortable and well furnished. Walls are insulated so its quiet making a great place to rest. Breakfast is good. Quality and affordable.
The rooms were extremely clean and the staff was very professional. The breakfast was great. It included freshly made waffles, cereals, muffins and croissants, bagels orange juice coffee and much more. The pool was clean and towels were outside next to the pool. The accessibility was great as well. I would definitely come back.
The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy... the main issues that we found was that one of the elevators got stuck on our floor, about 2 inches lower than the floor level... and it took me saying something over 2 hours after I noticed it before they did something, but they only left a note on the elevator and not rope it off so that people didnt "fall" into it. It's a horrible area homeless people all over, numbering 100-200. The room was good. Pool was nice as well as the breakfast. The city needs to do more for the homeless then just have police come and tell them to leave or arresting them. That is why there are so many in one area cops pushed them out of other places. Arresting them only makes them totally give up on normal life the county fines build...
Decent place to stay overnight. Location is close to downtown, though not much access to public transport. Good service, and you can ask the receptionist for the shuttle bus to the airport.
Great bed and shower and mostly quiet. Extremely helpful and courteous employees. These are the most important things, right? It is pricey, but if you are looking for a high class place to rest your head, this place does not disappoint. The conference room was unusable because it had been flooded, but the tent they put up outside as an alternative worked just fine so I am not downgrading them for it.
I really like this hotel! There is a beautiful lake behind the hotel which is amazing! Came here only to find that all the service staff in this hotel are very friendly. The toiletries in the hotel are very clean and hygienic. The sheets and quilts are also very comfortable. The only fly in the ointment is that there is no free breakfast. Also the air conditioner is a bit noisy. 😁
We are checking out today and had a wonderful experience at the West Inn. The parking is valet only but it is convenient. The beds were extremely comfortable, loved the mirror lights in the washroom, the rain shower, the tub, as well as the lavender sleep sample. Loved seeing the bike every time we came in. Great attention to details! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Actually several buildings, so be prepared to re-park your car closer to your room after you check in.
My stay here was absolutely excellent! Martin was extremely helpful, and went out of his way in making sure I was well accommodated. I visit Sacramento a couple of times each year, and will definitely be staying at this hotel for each visit.
Room was clean, the sitting area by the pool is also nice, they don’t have A propane tank ready to replace the empty one so we set there without fire , because the fireplace need propane tank. The air in the room was not too fresh ( like an old building )
The staff is awesome and the food is very good with a nice variety on the menu. Corey at the bar is a superb hostess. Keith at the deal always has smile. Rarely find a hotel this wonderfully accommodating.

Came here for my job training and I was impressed with the staff and my room. Staff gave me a free water when I was getting my room. I would definitely book a hotel when I go up to Sacramento again.

Breakfast deduction due to COVID. Location prime to our daily activities. Staff accommodated us when needed.
Amazing hotel, friendly staff, pet friendly (with few) and the rooms smelled and looked nice and clean. My husband and I were traveling 12 hours for south ca to north ca. we originally had a different hotel up the street from this one, and it turned out to be a nightmare. So at 1:30 am we called this hotel to help us from our nightmare and help us get to a safe, clean hotel. When I spoke to the representative...
This is the first major chain hotel in which I stayed where: 1) no fan in the bathroom; 2) no safe in the room; 3) 'free Wi-Fi' was unsecure (for secure connection, you had to pay); and, no pen/pad/ info sheet on TV, etc The free breakfast was basic; extra cooked or assembled by a chef such as eggs, pancakes, etc. cost $13.95. You be the judge. On the plus side, nice size pool and plenty of parking...
Everything from the moment we arrived to the pool being clean and a family friendly environment. Clean very very so comfortable beds I'm a side sleeper. And my wife a straight back sleeper. We loved it and even booked an extended stay for 1 more night rather than choose and risk another location. Perfect like a Hilton should be
Awesome location to stop for the night. It was tucked away and quiet, yet close to everything we could possibly need. The hotel overall was very accommodating for a young family. I would absolutely stay here again, highly recommended. Very well kept grounds and lovely staff. Aaryn was there to welcome us and make our late night check-in a pleasant process. Exhausted and traveling with littles is rough...
Clean, in good shape, and nothing wrong with this hotel. Stayed here as a family of 4 for 1 night and had no issues. Small room, but good. My only suggestion would be that the hotel bathroom needs a fan. Not sure why hotel rooms don't have those much these days.
