DoubleTree by Hilton Seattle Airport

I needed a place to stay before my international flight. I was looking for something relatively inexpensive and was able to snag a deal on this hotel. I figured being a Gold Hilton member I would stay at a Hilton property as in general my experience has been good.
Turns out that they didn’t want to even acknowledge my membership because I purchased somewhere else. And what I thought was a good deal quickly went away when I realized that unlike most every other property I’ve ever stayed at, they want to charge their guests $33/night just to park your car. How is that for gold treatment.
All this after waiting in line just to check in. The hotel feels sorely understaffed and the rooms feel dated. The only thing they really have going for them is the proximity to the airport. My recommendation though would be to go somewhere else if you are just looking for a place to crash that’s close to the airport.

I will not be staying here again, that’s for sure. I’ll also be sure to read more of the reviews before booking with another Hilton hotel. Clearly based on the other reviews this place has issues. And I’m sorry, but the warm cookie doesn’t make up for it.

Do not stay at this hotel or use their parking shuttle service. We have stayed in the past and the hotel is outdated and the staff is incredibly rude. We returned from our international trip and waited 40 min for a shuttle to come at island 3. The shuttle came, rolled down their window and said they would not be stopping for us. The instructions clearly state to stand at island 1 or 3. When I called to talk to an operator she was unbelievably rude. We will not stay at this hotel again or park in their parking lot. Book anywhere else at the airport.

This was the weirdest hotel I’ve ever stayed in my life. The photos on the website looked beautiful and my family and I thought we would stay in a room like the pictures. However, we were deceived. We thought we were going to stay in the large tower like the pictures, but a grumpy old man at the front desk had to show us a map to get to our room because there were multiple wings and multiple elevators and it took us 15 minutes to get to our room, like a maze! By the time we got to our rooms we were exhausted. The rooms were so old looking. The doors looked like they were from the 1800s. The carpeting, walls, furniture were so outdated and old. The popcorn ceilings were terrible. Everywhere was dusty and had cobwebs. Even the beds were crooked!

This hotel is great for horror movies. Definitely do not stay here!

Shame on Hilton for this hotel! We thought that staying at a Hilton meant better quality.

I highly recommend you stay elsewhere! The hotel is close to the airport, but that’s about the best thing it has going for it . One of the biggest problems is that you will be required to pay for at least two days of parking, even if you stay one night. We stayed one night, and we were there less than 24 hours. However, they made us pay for two days of parking at $33 per day plus tax. Their policy is that if you were in their parking lot for more than 15 minutes on any calendar day that you have to pay a full days parking. So you pay for the night that you check in and you pay for the next morning when you check out. There is no advanced notification that you will be charged for two days. They just run the card. When we called in to ask about it, they were not helpful at all and basically gave us an email address and brushed us off. Furthermore, the hotel is outdated and the accommodations less than average at best. We are Hilton Honors members and have stayed at many of their hotels. This one was by far the worst. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

Definitely a bad stay.
--Check in time was long, 15 minutes
--AC Didn't work, and the room remained at 79 all night.
--shower flooded the bathroom. Sponge baths were necessary
--Bed was badly made with no fitted sheet
--convoluted hotel design necessitated a map to find our rooms
--no fridge in room for drinks or leftovers.

It was very close to the airport but not wit6h it.

I was taken in by the hotel Star rating. Next time, will find a budget hotel and pay half for more.

Very dated room and smelled musty.the air-conditioning rattled all night but it was way to hot in the room no matter how low I turned it down. The bed was comfortable and the outdoor pool area is great. Hotel staff was nice. The ride to the airport was scary, they had us stand in the handicapped area with nothing to hold onto while the bus was moving. Overall the hotel is way overpriced for what i experienced. There are better options nearby when your just staying for one night to catch an early flight.
