Fairmont Olympic Hotel

There is a great bar in the beautiful lobby with excellent food, although the menu is quite limited at the moment. The staff is always great. We had nothing but great service even though they were clearly short-staffed during the heat wave. The rooms are good with large bathrooms. Can't beat the location due to proximity to major city attractions. Prices were quite reasonable and significantly lower than other nearby hotels of comparable quality.

The architecture of this building alone is noteworthy. I have an executive suite with a king size bed. Very nice modern room. The bed is fantastic. My friend slept for 10 hours and didn’t want to get up. The staff is great, especially Tracy at the front desk. I will definitely stay here again.

Outstanding. Everything about this hotel is top notch. Our room was 400 square feet of bliss! Room service was fast, beautifully presented and delicious. Bar snacks and drinks were priced fairly (unusual in this town) and made quickly. The room was simply gorgeous, comfortable and homey. Is this hotel pricey? Why yes it is. BUT in this case you get what you pay for and more. Door staff was at all times friendly and helpful. The front desk was ALWAYS cheerful and had great advice. The days of old school service and charm are not over, they are preserved here at the Fairmont! I look forward to staying at their other properties in the future. Highly recommended!!!!

This is a beautiful hotel in a prime location. The staff at check in were really friendly and attentive. The room was huge with comfortable beds and a spacious bathroom. It's just a short distance to Pike Place Market and the harbour so it's an ideal location to explore Seattle.

The Fairmont Olympic is a beautiful hotel and I enjoyed my stay there! It's within walking distance to a lot of sites around Seattle. I got flowers from Pike Place and staff even let me borrow a vase! The fitness room and jacuzzi were great. They had refrigerated towels with peppermint oil that felt amazing after my workout and sauna. Natalie at the front desk was fantastic - very helpful and friendly!

My wife and I stayed at the Olympic for a couple of nights, earlier this week. We arrived by train, just a few minutes after noon, but were nonetheless immediately checked into a suite, which was a complimentary "upgrade to the upgrade"! The room was large and immaculately clean, and featured one of the most comfortable beds we've ever experienced in a hotel. After enjoying drinks and a light meal in the Olympic Bar, which is a truly beautiful room, we took a seven or eight minute walk to the Pike Place Market. We really liked the location; just a few minutes walk to Pike Place and the Monorail station, and no more than 15 minutes to the Pioneer Square area. In addition to the dining available in the hotel, there are two great restaurants (Capital Grille and Purple Cafe and Wine Bar) literally across the street. We had a dinner in both! I mentioned the Olympic Bar / lobby area; I had a great time wandering around, admiring the architecture and trimwork, and had a wonderful chat with Gloria, who has worked at the hotel for 41 years! On the day we checked out, and hours after we'd done so, it occurred to me that I'd left something in our room. Numerous staff members spent a lot of time confirming that I hadn't, and were cheerful and completely professional throughout. We really enjoyed our stay at the Fairmont Olympic, and we look forward very much to our next visit!

The hotel staff were friendly, and responded promptly at check in and out (even with a 6:30am out on a Saturday they were up to pick up our bags and had our car in 10-15 min). All of our interactions with them were great. Regarding our room, the bed was very comfortable, but some minor upgrades were needed considering it was a junior suite. The couch looked like it needed replacing or at least a good cleaning and more back support would be helpful. On location, I would guess this hotel was considered to be in a nicer area when it was built, but can be a bit sketchy at times. Overall, it was a good stay. We didn't have an opportunity to visit any of the dining or bar establishments, but I utilized the hair salon at the spa and had a nice experience. The gym also looked very nice. I would stay here again.

My roommate and I tried to book a room here during the heat wave in Seattle on 06/28/2021. Unfortunately, the hotel was full and we were unable to spend the night. However, the staff were very kind and allowed us - and many other people with pets and children! - weather during the day and evening in the hall. I want to thank the waiters, bartenders, concierge and security staff for their professionalism and ability to work under EXTREMELY adverse circumstances. The lobby is a great place to relax with plenty of nooks and alcoves to socialize. The bar definitely has luxury prices, be careful! We enjoyed our cocktails and also ordered fries and strawberry shortcake. The roast potatoes were lovely and the shortbread was perfect for summer. I will definitely be back for a treat.
