Great place. Extremely convenient to the national Mall. The museums Metro stop White House. The Metro is only a few blocks and since I have my back held up together by rods and screws and two knees replaced easy quick walk, no problem. The rooms are nice, almost like a European feel. A lot of people in this country would consider them small, but for me and my son is perfect. We couldn't be happier. And if you get a chance to interact with Max who works at the front desk, he is an amazing help with everything. He made our stay a hundred times better because of his excellent customer service and helpfulness. You could tell it makes him happy to help others to be happy in this hotel. He really cares about his job and the customers. If I had a business that needed someone to deal with customers I'd have to steal him. He's great

I stayed there late July 2024, it was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in a long time. Once you checked in the front desk personal always greeted by name, often referred us as the sisters. We were visiting for my sisters birthday. The hotel was situated perfectly to walk to everywhere. The front desk recommended some awesome places to eat and they were all great suggestions. The room was just the right size for 2, and clean as well was the bathroom. I love the vibe, the rooftop, and the bar all gave friendly cozy vibes. This will be my go to hotel whenever I visit Washington DC. LOVED IT!!! Thank you Hive for the awesome and warm hospitality.

Could not recommend this place more! Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Great location in walking distance to tourist spots, yet tucked away in a quieter area. It’s a micro-hotel so the rooms are small, but it didn’t bother us. Pizza place, bar, and coffee were also incredible in the lobby. Will definitely stay again if I come back!

If you like to bathe with your partner to save water, this hotel is not for you. Its small style extends to the design of the bathrooms where two people cannot fit at the same time. It looks modern but unfortunately it is so small that it only has one elevator that can't fit more than three people and that's if they don't have luggage. The staff is courteous, they gave us two coupons for free drinks. Oh, there are too many mosquitoes and parking is not included, it is separate. You have to park it about two blocks away and they charge you $21 for 24 hours. The girl at the front desk told us that this would be discounted the next day when we checked out. But then they told us no, that the $21 was already with the discount. So don't be fooled. Additionally, there is no refrigerator, microwave, or iron in the room. Last information I leave you, the neighborhood is not very good, there are many people on the street.

Great dog friendly micro hotel! The place is really clean. We love the idea that you can build your pizza parlor, a bar and rooftop terrace. We will definitely stay here again, but we should avoid room 406. Room 406 is in the staircase area, so we hear people come up and down the stairs. Luckily, we’re New Yorker; we were able to sleep through the sounds.

Great room for a great price. The rooms are definitely small, but not uncomfortably so. In my opinion, this is a great concept. The room was clean and modern. The staff was courteous and attentive. I would definitely recommend Hotel Hive.

I was in the hotel lobby and bar briefly while eating at the fantastic &pizza, which is attached to the hotel. The hotel itself is painfully cool and I could see myself staying there if the rooms are anywhere nice. The bar had a (somewhat small) selection of very good draught beers. They were expensive, around $8 each after taxes. Bartenders were very good. Also get food from &pizza!

I had a drink with a friend up on the roof. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was perfect for having a quiet chat. There was plenty of seating and a nice view with a nice warm breeze. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because I thought the drink menu was very minimal. Other than that, it was great. I'd definitely say it's worth checking out.

This is a nice place to stay, the front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful. The passages to the rooms do feel like a warren or a hive but the room itself is comfortable if a bit short on a few amenities. But it is a pretty cool place.
