Kimpton Hotel Monaco Washington DC, an IHG Hotel, Washington1 / 50

Washington, 700 F Street NW 🧭 Map
The hotel is located in a great spot, just across the street from Capital One Arena and a short walk from many of the city's most popular attractions. The suite itself was spacious and beautifully appointed
Great hotel. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful building, comfortable rooms. If there were one negative, it'd be the quality of the internet. Not great.
I recently stayed in the Mediterranean Suite at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco in Washington, DC
However, I think that was all over Washington DC based on some of the water we had at restaurants. If the rooms, were in the $200 a night range it probably would have been okay. But we paid closer to $400 a night
We were here for several days a couple of weeks ago. It is walking distance from the Capitol Mall and from the Museum of American Art. It has also walking distance to Ford's Theater
The hotel is in an old building that has been remodeled. Overall, it is an okay place to stay but it is quite expensive. The restaurant is very expensive

The service was incredible; the staff did everything they could to go above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our time there. All the employees were so nice and helpful
Decent hotel that's not far from public transit. I would have rated it much higher but I feel like destination/facility/resort fees are very shady as far as business practices go. Just be honest with your pricing.
The hotel was very nice! Our room was huge and very clean. The hotel staff was very kind and friendly to us. The hotel isn't a far walk from the metro and near so many things to do in the area
Very nice hotel with an absolutely excellent bar and bartenders! The rooms themselves are gorgeous and big, and at least mine included a lovely robe for use during the stay
Very convenient location and the room was nice. Staff was pleasant especially Key at the front desk. She was very nice and welcoming, her customer service was exceptional
Bruce, the night manager is amazing! I rented two rooms - he helped me a lot, great. The only downside was the lack of exhaust fans in the showers, which forced us to change the first room to one less humid

We had a great stay at the Park Hyatt Washington D.C. It has a great fitness center with two Pelotons. The pool is tiny however. Otherwise, we thought the room was great and so was the staff.

As a Globalist member, this is one of my favorite Hyatt properties. The service is impeccable, the rooms are clean and well appointed. Blue Duck Tavern downstairs is always consistently high quality
Impeccable service as always. Great, albeit expensive, food. One reason to love the place is that the rooms always have a certain zen quality to them, automatically relax after 10 mins back there
Really great hotel. Beautiful room decor. Great location. Large rooms with couch and table and chair. Great bathroom with black tiled dual shower (handheld and rainfall). Would come back.

Ah by the way in case it matters, I took a room without kitchen
Lots of room for spreading out. You can drop your postcards from the mail chute on any floor, which was pretty cool. The only issue we had was the legs on the pullout sofa were worn out and wouldn’t stay put
Staying at the State Plaza Hotel was a great experience for my family!! We were in DC for vacation and wanted a clean, good hotel but not too fancy or pretentious and in a central location with easy walking to DC museums and sites
The staff were very friendly, patient, and worked hard to make our stay good! Omer the doorman was cool, friendly and helpful! The little café is great for an early breakfast to start the day, and it also has good lunch options and a kid's menu
State met our expectations! The room was a suite, and very clean with a nice bathroom, and a TV. The best part about the room was definitely the kitchen
The garage is super well attended, everything stays on lockdown for safety, cvs next door, and there’s dining on site

The room was small but adequate. Attempted to use the fitness center in the late evening but it was full of children playing on the equipment. Parents were present but appeared to be playing on their phones
Dog friendly, located in DuPont circle, in the heart of the action. Cool bar with food, nice bartender. Pretty breakfast area, good presentation on food. Parking is valet, not my favorite
Well appointed rooms and bathrooms. Looks like they will be adding or updating the restaurant as we were informed. Pick this place and have fun, because you will
Great hotel! Very friendly and attentive staff; tasty food and drinks; clean and cozy rooms
Front desk staff did not seem to think it was a problem. Highly recommend trying the almond "brioche" French toast for breakfast at the hotel restaurant
When I checked in, they gave me a room that was occupied-embarrassing! Quickly fixed, but could have been and issue

Very sweet staff on the roof top, very nice at the restaurant, rooms are very clean, so housekeeping is very carrying and would never knock if the do not disturb sign is on the door. Just little things that count
My wife and I stayed here during a work trip. We loved it! The staff were friendly and engaging. There were lots of fun activities planned over the weekend like a silent disco. We will definitely want to stay here again.
Comfy, quaint, closets could be a touch bigger, but its best feature is the staff! Front desk in particular, especially the two guys with wavy hair that kinda look alike. Always friendly, always above and beyond
In this age of zero sense of urgency everywhere you look, these guys are like the good old days
We just spent two wonderful nights at this hotel and had the best stay! The staff were incredibly friendly. The food was outstanding and room service was impressively fast
I loved the steak, tuna bowl, chicken, and salad. The breakfast was even better - highly recommend the rise and shine breakfast

Not luxurious, but clean and attractive and reasonably priced. There is no laziness service but there is a dry cleaner and a laundrette around the corner along with veros shops and cafes
Very green with a beautiful church opposite and only a 20 minute walk from The White House and everywhere else
There were a couple of changes; no more continental breakfast, and a limited selection of tv channels, but I didn't go to D. to watch tv and there's a nice bagel shop around the corner with fresh bagels and good coffee
Overall a good hotel to stay. Some of the staffs are very very helpful. A few are a bit cold though. Great location. Good service. Satisfactory and safe.
This was my second stay at the Baron Hotel. It is one of the older inns around the D. area and it's not far from shops and metro
The room was large with lots of natural light , the bed was very comfortable, and the staff are always friendly and helpful

Third year in a row of attending a conference held here and at the connected convention center. No mystery cold rooms or hot rooms which I have encountered at some conference facilities. The restrooms are well-maintained
"Everything" was nice, as you'd expect from a professional operation like this. If there was a stand out, it was the staff mood. As background, I was volunteering, wearing a huge teddy bear costume (long story)
Service industries are full of miserable people. The staff here were in a pretty good mood, which speaks volumes for the way they are treated by management. Happiness trickles down to the way they perform
The facility is in good shape and easy to access from the Metro. The staff has always been pleasant and professional as well. I grabbed breakfast at the restaurant and it was very good
There are restaurants and coffee shops in house and drop off and pick up is orderly, well staffed and efficient. I look forward to my next visit
From my arrival in the loyalty line, to attentive bell hops, to a concierge that secured dinner reservations - it was all wonderful

I had a great stay here! The rooms are very safe because the hallway and stairs are indoors. The staff are all very responsive, professional, and kind; they really took note of my requests and I felt so valued as a guest
It is clean, good value for money. Central location for my needs. Amenities close by. I would stay there again.
Kim and Hiro were especially amazing! The bed/sheets were very comfortable, and there was great water pressure/hot water with a bowed shower curtain rod for more room in the shower
There were a few little signs of previous patches on the wall but it's not a big deal at all; it's an older building but it has everything you need for a comfortable and affordable stay
The bus stop is right outside, and to head into DC it's just a bit further down to bus to the subway. It's the best value for a tourist on a budget
But the actual bedrooms and bathrooms were clean, provided what needed to be provided, the hotel itself seemed to be safe and in a decent area, the desk staff were nice and knowledge and even made change for me [since I guess the local bus didn't give change for your fare]

Great Fitness Center, luxurious ambiance, yet not stuffy. A special shout-out to the concierge Nicole
She surprised us by having a birthday card signed by most of the staff and delivering it along with a bottle of wine and chocolates to our room for my wife's birthday. Hands down, best service ever! Thank you!!
Briefly saw my client's room and give that 3-4 stars. He was also a jerk to everyone so maybe they gave him a bad room ? Some parts are very nice and some are dated - like it doesn't quite match
This is my favorite place to park for the convention center but it does cost $20+/day and is confusing the first few times
The shower was incredibly nice and I felt like I was able to take a satisfying shower. There we're many options to choose from when dining out and the places we ate were delicious
If anyone is looking for great deals on hotels go to HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around. 5 stars for the lobby and for all staff

Just plain and simply a very nice hotel. Excellent service and a positive attitude from everyone. A doorman named Frank who is top notch. Rooms are modern and comfortable. Price is what you'd expect for this part of DC
A very nice hotel, with friendly staff. I stayed here for a conference. The State Department had a briefing while I was staying, so part of the hotel was on lockdown while some foreign officials came in a side door
Had a very pleasant stay at the Mayflower. Have have very good experiences as a Titanium Marriott member at the Autograph collection of hotels. Our 2 rooms were upgraded to a spacious suite and a deluxe King
If anyone is looking for great deals on hotel rooms head to. ᴄᴏᴍ booked a resort there and they had the best rates anywhere! Great service, great rooms and the best place for a quiet luxury getaway in DC
The restaurant, Edgar (after the infamous FBI director) was excellent for breakfast and they provide a $54 per room per night credit for breakfast since they didn’t have a lounge
The hotel and staff were top-notch, and we loved the rich history surrounding the place. Rooms could use a little updating, but they were clean and full of character

Do ask about parking if you are driving in. Don't expect all the cookie-cutter conveniences of a modern hotel. And be prepared to get lost once you enter. It's a bit of a labyrinth! But a fun one!
Great place to stay for a night, but I would go elsewhere if I needed a place to work or be comfortable long term. Perfect on the price and location front and we loved the study style lounge and restaurant area
Sorry if I'm gushing, but I did fall in unexpected love here, with the building, the décor, the ambiance, the staff. so helpful! It's an employee-owned establishment and it shows in the dedication to customer service
The ambiance of the hotel is one of the best reasons to stay here and it is worth taking some time to walk around and see what you can find on the walls. The two big issues were the shower and the wifi
It made for some very quick showers and having to step out to wait for the water to get back in a good range. On the small side I do think there is a good bit of small maintenance that should be done
The wifi did not work for us at all the whole time we were there and we had trouble getting help from the front desk so we just gave up on that and used mobile data (signal was fine in our room)

We went for drinks overlooking the White House. Although it was cold out, they had the rooftop bar covered and warmed up with heat lamps. The wine was affordable and the bartender remember our drink orders which was nice
The view was great, the food and service were decent, and the place was not crowded on a weekday for late lunch. Place isn't cheap, like $6 for a glass of apple juice, but I knew that going in
I'd definitely come back, especially with guests from out of town
The drinks were amazing, and the waitstaff allowed me to sit at a table as a hotel guest, but if you want a more quiet place to have a drink and a meal, you may want to look outside the hotel
A wonderful, chic hotel with work with great staff. However, I stayed in the winter, and the outdoor bar was in a tent that was not fully heated, and the indoor bar was closer to a nightclub
Also food, views on roof top and staff is just amazing!! If you're visiting Washington DC or just would like to get some drinks. You should visit this place!!

Fantastic stay! Location is amazing, less than a block away from 2 Metro lines and close to the actual White House. It was like having our own apartment in DC. Beds were comfy and the room was quiet
Super comfortable and convenient to both Farragut West station for orange, silver and blue lines as well as Farragut North station for red line. Many nice restaurants and cafeteria within walking distance
We had a great experience at AKA White House! The apartment was great, better and bigger than we were expecting. Great appliances, comfortable bed, quality bed linens and great friendly staff
For sure we recommend this place and we definitely would come back and stay here
There was a very limited range of pots, pans and utensils, so forget cooking anything more than breakfast or pasta. The toaster only worked on one side, there was no hand soap or dishwashing soap for the kitchen
This amounts to a hidden charge, which is really unfortunate considering the proper alternative is to use a hold amount on the credit card. Poor customer experience and the response from the hotel is that this is policy

The bell, door man, housekeeping, and service teams are all top-notch: helpful, friendly, caring, and truly "at your service. " We enjoyed the beautiful breakfast buffet daily and were wowed by the service
This was my first time staying at the Capital Hilton and it was hands down, the best hotel I have ever stayed at. I will be returning for the remainder of my visits. The rooms are great, the servers are great
Our experience at the Capital Hilton could not have been better. We had booked for one night not knowing that we would end up in a health crisis that required a longer stay and an additional room
The CH employees are truly stellar and not only cheerfully went to bat for us at a moment's notice, but went out of their way to help us navigate our situation throughout our stay
The rooms we stayed in were lovely and perfectly proportioned. Sparklingly clean, nicely furnished and had super comfy beds. I have never felt so cared for by a hotel's staff
The best hotel I have ever stayed at hands down. I constantly come to Washington for meetings, vacations, etc

Hopefully this is the first of many visits. A metro station is a few steps away. We were able to get a bottle of wine and popcorn in the lobby and at Starbucks. Our visit was the worst and the best
The kids enjoyed the salt water pool every evening and had a blast! The room we stayed in was very family friendly as they had doors that could connect our room to the family we were traveling with so at the end of the day the kids could watch a movie in the same room while the adults hung out and making plans for the next day in another room
The beds are not king size, they are full size and it was a bit uncomfortable for me and my husband. Apart from this, the staff are very friendly and do their best to help if we need anything
Due to the pandemic, many institutions were closed (most of the Smithsonian Institutions). We liked EVERYTHING that was opened with Ease. As a family trip, it's a 10
The only thing I didn't know about was the size of the beds, I understood that a room with double beds would have 2 queen beds, which it didn't
We couldn't have found a better location! This Marriott hotel is located in the heart of DC and there are many attractions we can just walk to

Exquisite attention to detail. Very pricey but consistent with other hotels of this caliber. Rooms are immaculate with a massive deep tub. The main area is a comfortable place to relax with a drink and people watch
Stopped in to see the hotel and have a snack on a cold weekday afternoon. Like all of the Trump properties I have been to the staff was well trained, the property was perfectly clean and impeccably decorated
I have been in the military for 18 years and I’ve have the blessing of staying in 5 stars hotels around the world and so far The Trump International Hotel is the best hotel I have ever stayed
The staff went above and beyond to make sure our staying was an amazing experience. I have no enough words to express my gratitude to the personnel of this luxurious hotel
A constant flow of people just looking around. The bar at night is buzzing with a great vibe. If you want to experience quality, this place wont disappoint

Friendly, helpful reception staff? Room with all comforts I need? Quiet room as requested? Check, check and check. This was my first stay at this hotel but I will definitely come back any time I stay in the area.
My room doesn’t have breakfast included but there was a room service card you can fill in for a room service breakfast. Great area for restaurants and shopping centers nearby
