Renaissance Arlington Capital View Hotel
Arlington, 2800 South Potomac Avenue 🧭 Map
It was a pristine well located hotel with a fabulous interior and spacious comfortable rooms.
I expected a little more luxury for a Renaissance but it was clean and the staff was friendly. I was there for a conference so the hotel was very busy. I did not get house keeping they ask at checkin. That is fine but it would have been nice to have a full tea and coffee service with honey and sugars and cream and also an extra body lotion as I was there 4 days 3 nights. Bar pricing was inconsistent...
The service and staff were great! Second time staying here to attend a 3 day seminar and the experience has been always outstanding. The food at the restaurant is really good, specially the octopus. It would be great if they were open till midnight or 11pm at least. They close at 10pm and during these trips you want to keep the socializing longer. Last but not least I would like to give an accolade...
The entire experience at Arlington Capital View was a dream. This is one of the best services I’ve ever received at a Hotel. The staff was exceptional; the architecture is beautiful and myself as well as everyone I traveled with were treated like royalty. The rooms were spotless, a restaurant and bar is downstairs. I mean it wasn’t just a Hotel Stay, it was a pure luxury experience!
The rooms were very nice. It was well located. Their fitness facility would be enough for all but the most Abbott lifter. And even they would be able to make do for a few days for a few days. I only stayed overnight so unfortunately I didn't have an opportunity to partake in the lobby bar which seems to be nice .they also have some type of club lounge on the 14th floor that I wasn't able to get to...
The room was clean, staff was nice and so was the decor. I liked the Illy Cafe but it closes early every day and I wish the hours were longer so I could have enjoyed a pastry and iced coffee in the afternoon. The double room had full size beds instead of queen beds which was smaller that I would have like to have to share a bed with another adult.

Decent hotel that's not far from public transit. I would have rated it much higher but I feel like destination/facility/resort fees are very shady as far as business practices go. Just be honest with your pricing.
Overall stay was good. The staff was very pleasant. Good location with a grocery market across the street. A bit pricey. Did ask for room service ,not available in this hotel. The down side is guest have to pay for parking that’s the first for me !!per day ,not included with your hotel stay. I would not recommend eat at their restaurant. Not going into details about that experience!!!! Pro: location...
My overall stay was great. Very convenient location and the room was nice. Staff was pleasant especially Key at the front desk. She was very nice and welcoming, her customer service was exceptional. From helping me with what’s around the area to getting around the hotel. I enjoyed my stay and will definitely be back.
Overall stay was good. Room was clean and the staff was very pleasant. Good location with a grocery market across the street. A bit pricey but very good selections. This hotel has food packages u purchase with your room if u want breakfast. Didn't try dinner. Breakfast was very good from the menu and served in the hotel's restaurant. The down side is guest have to pay at least 55$ per day for parking...
my favorite hotel. large rooms. helpful staff, beautiful pool, located in a quiet area with many restaurants nearby. parking is $50 a night, which sucks, but the valet takes good care of your car. I stayed in junior. Spacious Deluxe King Suite. the rooms are so big.
Bruce, the night manager is amazing! I rented two rooms - he helped me a lot, great. It's the same for my son. The only downside was the lack of exhaust fans in the showers, which forced us to change the first room to one less humid.

We had a great stay at the Park Hyatt Washington DC. It has a great fitness center with two Pelotons. However the pool is tiny. Otherwise we thought the room was great and so did the staff.

As a Globalist member, this is one of my favorite Hyatt properties. The service is impeccable, the rooms are clean and well appointed. Blue Duck Tavern downstairs is always consistently high quality. Plus the hotel is in a great location. Particularly a great deal if booked through AMEX FHR because of the $100 property credit and included breakfast.
Always great service at PH. Super-professional, upscale, try brunch at Blue Duck Tavern, it will not disappoint. Try the Avocado Toast with Smoked Salmon, the Burger with the big fries, and the Short-Rib hash. Throw in a Bloody Maria if you like your Bloody Mary spicy! Jeremy did a fantastic job handling our party.

The king suits are adorable. Lots of room for spreading out. The bathroom was so cute. Nicely updated. Great water pressure. You can drop your postcards from the mail chute on any floor, which was pretty cool. The only issue we had was the legs on the pullout sofa were worn out and wouldn’t stay put. The garage is super well attended, everything stays on lockdown for safety, cvs next door, and there...
Cute suite! Love older buildings! The living/dining area was large. Comfortable bedroom space. Comfortable bed. Only complaint was the heavy smell of cigarette smoke when we first walked into the suite. The room was supposed to be non-smoking! We were compensated for the smelly inconvenience.
Staying at the State Plaza Hotel was a great experience for my family!! We were in DC for vacation and wanted a clean, good hotel but not too fancy or pretentious and in a central location with easy walking to DC museums and sites. State met our expectations! The room was a suite, and very clean with a nice bathroom, and a TV. The best part about the room was definitely the kitchen. It came with pots...
This place is not bad but I can tell it’s very old school considering the way the thermostats look inside the rooms. On their website, It may say that their break-lunch-dinner may be free but it’s not and one of the workers at the restaurant had the audacity to ask us if we had a free voucher or residence of the hotel… I guess we were new faces that they have not seen but they should NEVER ask anyone...
Great hotel at a reasonable price. Room was spacious, very clean and beds we're comfortable. Restaurant was also decent.
Beautiful rooms and great bed. Staff were super efficient. Could walk to all the sites easily enough. Would stay here again if we ever visit.

A lovely oasis in the middle of bustling Georgetown. We hosted an engagement dinner there in the restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was superb. The chef and her son came out to the table afterwards for a really special touch.
From the first phone call for our reservation to check in, Nicole at the front desk was a rock star! This was my husband and I’s first date night after 8 weeks without our newborn. The valet guys were friendly and efficient and then Nicole was able to get us early check in to a super cute room. Great value, great views, perfect for a little getaway.
Well located. A good deal if you get a good price. Rooms are a bit worn
It was just the overnight stay at Georgetown Inn it was fairly good I have to wait till I go back to give a better judgement
Really nice room. Awesome location. Walking distance to everything. The staff is really courteous and professional. It's my new go to place in the DC area. I'll be back.
Clean room and good service. Lock system was down when we arrived (meaning no new keys available for 2hrs) but the concierge walked us to our room and let us in so no big deal. Great location for shopping

Comfy, quaint, closets could be a touch bigger, but its best feature is the staff! Front desk in particular, especially the two guys with wavy hair that kinda look alike. Always friendly, always above and beyond. In this age of zero sense of urgency everywhere you look, these guys are like the good old days. Very sweet staff on the roof top, very nice at the restaurant, rooms are very clean, so housekeeping...
We just spent two wonderful nights at this hotel and had the best stay! The staff were incredibly friendly. The food was outstanding and room service was impressively fast. I loved the steak, tuna bowl, chicken, and salad. The breakfast was even better - highly recommend the rise and shine breakfast. We also loved the thoughtful touch of friendship bracelets they gave us at check in! We loved that...
Checking into this hotel was an unpleasant experience. It took over 30 minutes. I booked direction through Marriott. Reception could not find our booking despite showing all of my confirmation emails from Marriott and reminders received the morning of check in. I've been to this hotel for a few days. The position is very good, the rooms are good and spacious enough. Breakfast options are in decently big servings, which I appreciated. Never started my day hungry. However something not really good happened and I think is 50% my fault 50% the hotel's fault. When I left I forgot a sweatshirt in my room's closet. The day later, I called them to ask whether they...
Staff was super nice! They were able to accommodate my every need and request. Rooftop was a nice touch, the pool is small but perfect for a hot day. There’s also events that seem to take place up there so that was nice if you’re not the type to go out much. I will definitely stay here on future trips to DC for sure.
The staff was fabulous - a big thanks especially to Elias at the front desk and Julio in the garage.

Good place for conferences! Looks like a fantastic place to stay too!
Beautiful hotel with phenomenal amenities. Hotel is always clean and bright and the staff are plentiful and helpful. I have never had a bad experience here. There are restaurants and coffee shops in house and drop off and pick up is orderly, well staffed and efficient. I look forward to my next visit.
I was in town for business and stayed at this property. The hotel staff definitely focuses on the personal touches and it shows. From my arrival in the loyalty line, to attentive bell hops, to a concierge that secured dinner reservations - it was all wonderful. Views are great. Beds are comfortable. Service is outstanding.
Third year in a row of attending a conference held here and at the connected convention center. The facility is always nice. No mystery cold rooms or hot rooms which I have encountered at some conference facilities. The restrooms are well-maintained. The facility is in good shape and easy to access from the Metro. Gorgeous gardens!!! Always love this hotel. Its the second convention I have done and stayed in for. The breakfast is amazing, just the best I have ever had at a hotel. Its on the concierge level. There is a sauna, which is great, but one of the highest perks is the vintage decor throughout many wings of the place and the overall fantastic job at decorating and apportioning rooms. Plus...most important...
Stay one night at the hotel and it was not too bad. So lets start with the check in. I arrived about 2 hours early before the given time for check in and was able to get to my room early. The only downfall with the room was that out of 5 power...
The location is great and easily accessible. The lobby is very nice and large with a nice bar area. The rooms in the central tower are fine - a bit dated and old. Glad to have a mini fridge though, and overall very quiet. Nice new TV in the room.

Huge conference venue, awesome service and support by hotel staff. Executive lounge offers yummy snacks and breakfasts. Flora and her team go out of their way to greet you and make you feel comfortable. Nice rooms, wish they had a better dinner restaurant/options. Harry's Pub OK, pricey but convenient. Their room service/FreshBites offer a nice selection at reasonable cost.

Great Fitness Center, luxurious ambiance, yet not stuffy. A special shout-out to the concierge Nicole. Awesome Property in DC, especially for a summer visit. Beautiful garden and pool. Breakfast in the restaurant is delicious. There is also an option for lovely outdoor dining on the patio overlooking the garden. West wing rooms have better views than East wing.

My room had a great view. The staff was very friendly and warm. I loved all the amenities! My room was cozy and clean. I very much enjoyed my stay here and can’t wait to visit this location again very soon. Thank you Hyatt Regency and Afrouz at the front desk
The staff was friendly, attentive, and professional. The rooms were clean and fresh. The location of the hotel made the value of the fees well worth it. Walking distance to all things DC. Short walk to union station was nice. Strongly recommend
It's a nice hotel we had a suite so the room was large but you do pay for it. Parking is expensive but that is always the case with large cities. Location is great as we were able to walk to the mall easily even with kids. Staff at the bar were awesome, I can't really fault the place but you do pay for it so it's kind of expected. A 5 star rating is only for somewhere where you think wow
Close to Centro, and a very large building
Love it here. What do you expect it's like in the heart of the city. Not far from Union Station, H. Street N.E. Eats and more. Near the subway and off 395 and the Hyatt offers great service. This is a place to visit.

This hotel is pretty old inside. The rooms are pretty small and a bit outdated. The elevator also broke while we were there. They got it back up and running in about an hour. The best part of the stay was the location. Walking distance to a bunch of restaurants, coffee shops and more.
I do want to say that the hotel services and food were amazing, and the room was amazing as well. The only reason I am giving it a 3-star is because the shampoo, conditioner, and soap products were not the best. The restaurant here is amazing! I travel a lot, and always want to go to unique places. This hit every mark I was looking for. When I go to new places I try to find good food and good atmosphere. We were able to get a bottle of wine and popcorn in the lobby and at Starbucks. Our visit was the worst and the best. Due to the pandemic, many institutions were closed (most of the Smithsonian Institutions). The city was empty. We liked EVERYTHING that was opened...
We couldn't have found a better location! This Marriott hotel is located in the heart of DC and there are many attractions we can just walk to. Many of the Smithsonian museums are in the area, as well as the National Archives and many tour departure points. The kids enjoyed the salt water pool every evening and had a blast! The room we stayed in was very family friendly as they had doors that could...
Great location down town. Very close to a metro station. Rooms were nice and clean. Beds very comfortable. Pricing was reasonable compared to other hotels.
Had an overnight stay at the Washington Marriott while I was in town to enjoy a show and had a wonderful experience. When checking in I realized to my horror that I had made my online reservations for the wrong night! Thanks to the wonderful staff they were able to straighten it all out for me in no time. Had an amazing nights sleep on the very comfortable plush king bed, and enjoyed the breakfast...

Don't forget to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ when booking your place. This web site will compare thousands of booking websites and normally will have rates a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This place is the best rated in the area. I have been staying here for years. If you decide to stay here you for sure won't regret it. Clean and the rooms are well done. The fridge is good and the beds comfy...
Five stars because of the nice lady at the front desk that checked us in, she's really nice. The valet parking personnel were nice as well. A lady brought us a luggage cart on the morning that we checked out, she was nice as well. Lobby is nice, staying staying above the first floor was nice, look down at lobby and or looking up at all the floors. Elevators were nice. Rooms were nice but walls and...
My father came to stay over thanksgiving weekend to visit my sister who currently lives and works in DC as a medical professional. I am writing this on his behalf as he has said that he absolutely adores this hotel and finds it to be one of the most well kept, clean, and beautiful hotels he’s ever stayed at. My father is a veteran who served 20 years in the military and has been to many places and...
Clean and the rooms are well done. The fridge is good and the beds comfy. Plenty of lighting and outlets for laptops and phones as well. The water pressure was also good. No complaints!
Hotel staff was super friendly and our room was spotless. Great views of the square and within walking distance of the White House. There was a leak in our hallway which made the whole floor smell but that’s not something they could’ve prevented.
