Marriott Marquis, DC Hotel
Washington, 901 Massachusetts Avenue NW 🧭 Map
I stayed at the Marriott Marquis Washington for four nights and found it to be a traditional, full-service hotel offering a fairly standard experience. While the overall stay was comfortable, there were a few aspects worth noting. Service: I requested a blanket and a kettle, and while the items were eventually delivered, it took nearly an hour, which felt a bit slow for a hotel of this caliber. Breakfast...
Overall my stay was good - the hotel is well located, and has many options for food and necessities. The room was ok - bed linens were worn, the usb outlet by the desk didn’t work, but overall everything was clean and pleasant. I found the shower water handle a nice touch - you can start the shower and control water temperature on the side, without getting in. I had an unpleasant experience at the...
It is a good location to access the convention center and the Metro station.
The hotel in downtown Washington is very convenient. There is an Apple store next to it. You can walk or take a taxi to the White House Obelisk in the United States. There is a bar on the first floor of the hotel. There is a free laundry room. The gym is also good after trying it. It has two floors.
Breakfast took a time to wait! The Beer lab waiters and waitresses were very rude
Vacation to Washington DC, and booking a room at this hotel really helped my trip. The place is clean, the staff is also friendly.

Gorgeous gardens!!! Always love this hotel. Its the second convention I have done and stayed in for. The breakfast is amazing, just the best I have ever had at a hotel. Its on the concierge level. There is a sauna, which is great, but one of the highest perks is the vintage decor throughout many wings of the place and the overall fantastic job at decorating and apportioning rooms. Plus...most important...
Stay one night at the hotel and it was not too bad. So lets start with the check in. I arrived about 2 hours early before the given time for check in and was able to get to my room early. The room was a nice size and up to standard of clean. I was worried due to others review comments but I can say that I notice no weird stains or no bed bugs. The only downfall with the room was that out of 5 power...
The location is great and easily accessible. The lobby is very nice and large with a nice bar area. The rooms in the central tower are fine - a bit dated and old. Glad to have a mini fridge though, and overall very quiet. Nice new TV in the room.
If anyone is looking for great deals on hotels go to HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around... It's a very nice hotel. I've stayed several times here for professional events and it is well kept and managed professionally and hospitably. We did actually have the door latch somehow get latched by itself when we left our room and had to have a hotel engineer come to...
Huge conference venue, awesome service and support by hotel staff. Executive lounge offers yummy snacks and breakfasts. Flora and her team go out of their way to greet you and make you feel comfortable. Nice rooms, wish they had a better dinner restaurant/options. Harry's Pub OK, pricey but convenient. Their room service/FreshBites offer a nice selection at reasonable cost.
Very nice hotel. Amazing reception area with very professional staff to wait on you. Nice location in upscale DC neighborhood. Room was nice but a bit small. Could use a little updating. Will definitely stay again.

Very nice and elegant hotel with full facilities inside, including a restaruant, a bar, a coffee shop/grocery, and even gift shop. Would come to stay here again if come back to Washington.
I love the place. It’s convenient and easy access to tourist spots in the town.
Location is about 15 min walk to Metro station but if you are driving it is difficult to get out of there in rush hour traffic.  Room is quite small, aircon was very noisy and woke me up in the wee hour of the night.  Parking is outrageous, $56 per day.  They give you a $25 voucher to spend in their shops but the prices are steep.
I arrived a bit earlier, but my room was not ready. Okay, I can understand that. Going to the bell desk they tell me I need to pay when I get my luggage. Once I got my luggage, no one asked me to pay. I had a breakfast included but was leaving too early: of course, they do not provide lunch boxes, although they do sell them. The service is rather bad for a 300$ room.
A decent old hotel. But it us atill Hilton.
I booked the $200 high-floor king room because the $100+ twin room was shown as fully booked. However, when I arrived at the hotel, I was told that the king room was unavailable and only the twin room was left.

The room is clean, but the service is not good. It is a three-minute walk from the Congress
The hotel itself is impeccable and very ideal. Unfortunately, this area is too business-oriented, there are no supermarkets and few restaurants, which makes life a bit inconvenient.
I’ve stayed before but never left a review, but that’s not what this is about. What excellent service provided by the valet parkers and its management. Yep you read that correctly this review is for how great the valets are. As a business professional tasked with needing to drive my boss around DC finding parking to pick up is never easy. Never in my life has a valet come to the car. I was parked in...
My room had a great view. The staff was very friendly and warm. I loved all the amenities! My room was cozy and clean. I very much enjoyed my stay here and can’t wait to visit this location again very soon. Thank you Hyatt Regency and Afrouz at the front desk
The staff was friendly, attentive, and professional. The rooms were clean and fresh. The location of the hotel made the value of the fees well worth it. Walking distance to all things DC. Short walk to union station was nice. Strongly recommend
This hotel has a good location, and the service throughout the hotel feels a bit like a state-owned unit. The front desk had a poker face and no manners. Called to ask what time breakfast ends and the answer was that there is no free breakfast, you have to pay. I said my order included breakfast, and I was asking you what time it would end. A fantastic hotel, great location and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly
Very thoughtful service, clean room
Good location, good environment, good hygiene
Total crap! I didn't like the hotel. Queues at the reception. Bad soundproofing. Be careful, the hotel charges an extra $30 upon check-out for free wifi and other nonsense. There was no hot water in my room at this "luxury" hotel, and they charge $30 for additional services.
The environment is very good, the bed is big, but there are compulsory consumption
Big room with reasonable price. The check-in and check-out procedure were all smooth.

The hotel was absolutely wonderful. Our room was gorgeous. It was located on a corner and we had a wonderful view of DC that kept our 2 young children very occupied. If anyone is looking for great deals on hotels go to HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around... 5 stars for the lobby and for all staff. Briefly saw my client's room and give that 3-4 stars. He was also a jerk to everyone so maybe they gave him a bad room ? Some parts are very nice and some are dated - like it doesn't quite match. Great Fitness Center, luxurious ambiance, yet not stuffy. A special shout-out to the concierge Nicole. She surprised us by having a birthday card signed by most of the staff and delivering it along with a bottle of wine and chocolates to our room for my wife's birthday. Hands down, best service ever! Thank you!!
I stayed here while attending a conference. The hotel is beautiful and very conveniently located. The rooms are very high end and comfortable. The staff was very accommodating, friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the stay here very much.

I love that it has a shuttle to the airport and for anyone who is interested in sightseeing. There is a tunnel connected to the hotel that leads to restaurants and the metro. So please try to find a public parking 🅿️ or get dropped off by the shuttle instead. Food...

Upscale with extensive conference, retreat, meeting, ballroom, Gala facilities. Very friendly, professional, accommodating staff. Large M lounge spaces with the best breakfast I've seen in a while. I loved staying here! The rooms were clean and modern. The restaurant was good. The price was fair. And - it had direct access from the lobby to an underground tunnel where you'll find a network of stores and restaurants, as well the metro! It was so easy to visit any of the attractions in DC using the metro just downstairs. I'll definitely be staying here next time I visit DC!
Place is massive. We were there for a Christmas party thrown by a company. The parking is ridiculously priced, thank goodness the company validated some of it. And also the hotel is a little dated. Our experience at the Capital Hilton could not have been better. We had booked for one night not knowing that we would end up in a health crisis that required a longer stay and an additional room. I constantly come to Washington for meetings, vacations, etc. This was my first time staying at the Capital Hilton and it was hands down, the best hotel I have ever stayed at. Capital Hilton was nice and in a very good location; within walking distance of monuments, the White House, and museums. The hotel felt safe and secure. Service was very friendly and we were able to check in earlier than expected! The lobby of the hotel was very nice! The room was decent, but could have used some updating and a fresh coat of paint. The bed and pillows were comfortable.
I’ve stayed at probably 4 hotels in DC the past 6 months and Capital Hilton was by far the best. I just stayed at the for 7 nights and the service was exceptional from the second I drove up. Nice hotel but seems a bit dated. Executive lounge is decent for water, coffee, tea and snacks. Rooms are good size and has a coffee maker. But no fridge. The hotel itself is great – the rooms were clean, the location convenient, and the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. We felt welcome and well taken care of throughout our stay. Excellent location. Nice refurbish of the interior. Outstanding gym especially for a hotel including a rower. Also appreciated the M Club and space with good coffee and water accessible 24 hours. Rooms were standard but clean. We were fortunate they were able to accommodate our family with connecting rooms. Recommended with enthusiasm.
Marriott recently upgraded the entire hotel. However, the overwhelming and allergy producing fragrance being pumped into the hotel lobby and subsequently the bar and the restaurant precluded me from enjoying my stay 100% which is why the 3-stars and not 4. clean hotel. Great service. Early check-in with a baby and late check-out are allowed. The hotel is also in a great location. There is a garage across the street that costs $20 for 24 hours and allows you to get in and out. you just need to make your purchase online.
Hopefully this is the first of many visits. Very comfortable. We slept soundly. The location is perfect. A metro station is a few steps away. We were able to get a bottle of wine and popcorn in the lobby and at Starbucks. Our visit was the worst and the best. This hotel had a lot of nice details, decent rooms and great service except for a few issues. 1. There was a roach next to the mini-fridge. 2. The food was dry and was not seasoned well 3. The view was bad. All we saw was the tops of buildings. 4. The hotel wasn’t very kid-friendly. It was trying to hard to be fancy, authentic or old-fashioned. 5. Some spots in our room didn’t look all that clean
This is a beautiful hotel, centrally located. You may use their valet parking for overnight, but i thought it was a bit expensive (almost $60 per night), so i found a parking garage for $35 for 24 hrs, 3 blocks away. They allowed me to take the car out several times, which was9 perfect to go for dinner and Museums. The surrounding areas are nice and safe. Highly recommended.

Love this place! Great location for my needs.
I had a great stay at this hotel and would return if I go back to DC. My complaints are minor: there are no outlets by the bed, there was some random repairs happening in the morning, and my room phone didn’t work until I put in a complaint. Other than these things, the hotel is in a great location and is very clean!
Guest rooms are very spacious. Location is great: walking distance to Georgetown and five minutes to the DuPont Circle Red Line station. Check in and check out were fast. Pros for the room: adjustable base, mini fridge, water/coffee station in the hallway. Cons for the room: if you extend the bed flat you can’t walk by. So you’d either have to crawl over the bed or incline it up. No privacy for the bathroom. The toilet/shower situation is in the hallway and it’s frosted glass and doesn’t go from floor to ceiling. Stayed here in late September. Best thing was the location. It was in walking distance of the Capitol and almost all the Smithsonian museums in DC. Didn't get a chance to use the pool at all as it closed at 5pm and I was out at tourist attractions during the day. Bed was a little soft for my tastes and the room didn't have a fridge or safe. Shower was nice. Housekeeping staff were really friendly.
The receptionist was extremely kind, we were greeted with a great attitude and were promptly given our key cards. Her name was Mia McDaniel and she was BEYOND SUPERB. The location is very good, very close to the National Plaza, and you can walk to various attractions. The room is very clean and spacious, with a separate kitchen, full tableware, and a refrigerator, so you can cook your own meals. The bathroom is separate, with a dressing room.
Satisfied customer, good customer service & facilities. Facilities available for me to cook my own food which is my preference. All good!
The hotel is in a great location, close to the University of Washington and a ten-minute walk from the Lincoln Memorial Reflection Lake. The rooms are not big or luxurious, but the facilities are very clean and functional, and the shower water is also large.
