Stamford Plaza Brisbane, Brisbane1 / 50
9.1
Brisbane, Corner of Edward Street & Margaret Street 🧭 Map
well located hotel - older style large rooms.
The gym and pool is great. The restaurant option is excellent. The room is comfortable.
Location was good (but the CBD is very small, so I would think this would be true of almost any hotel in the CBD). I was let down by the service and communication between the hotel teams: 1. I dropped off bags prior to checking in and was told it would be delivered to my room by the time I arrived. This was reiterated by the front desk when I checked in. The bags were not in the room but were brought...
We attended the Mad Hatter High Tea for Easter. It was a very whimsical experience immensely enjoyed by our group of ladies who attended. The effort Stamford Plaza puts into the event is beautiful and I saw the kids who attended all very excited. The hotel itself is a beautiful hotel, and the staff are lovely. I have attended other high teas here and I have to say it was my favorite. Highly recommend...
Went there for a high tea. Food is amazing. A waiter spilled a tray of iced tea down my shirt. Oh well stuff happens. Gave me a shirt to compensate for my shirt being soaked and offered to wash and ship my shirt to my house. More importantly they replaced my coffee that had iced tea splashed into it by accident. Outstanding service, will most likely return in the future. Please do not fire the...
Great sized room and spacious bathroom. The room is a bit old fashioned styled, TV was inside a timber cabinet, for instance. The only downside was no tea coffee making facilities in the room. The breakfast buffet was excellent as well. Location of the hotel in the heart of the CBD with river views is a plus.

Travel is very convenient and the staff are very enthusiastic
The location is fantastic. Having a kitchen is really handy. The balcony was great. The room was old. Old curtains. The wall had chunks of plaster coming off from where the lounge rubs. The window sill was dusty. The lounge was small and dirty. The blanket from the cupboard was dusty. The doona had feathers coming out of it.
The hotel is in a great location, right across from the lagoon and cultural venues. The jacuzzi was nice, as was the pool and gym. I spent a lot of time in the Ovello café and the staff were super friendly and the food was excellent. I would have liked my room to be serviced on the second day.
Can't fault the location for entertainment and dining. Check-in was a breeze, the person at the front desk was chirpy and very helpful. The room was clean, spacious but felt a little sterile akin to a nice hospital room. A bit noisy at night but to be expected staying in the City.
Check in was easy, staff very friendly. The website advertises sound proof windows and block out curtains. Forget sound proof windows, as they definitely are not. They barely lock. The curtains do block out the light, but only when the actually are long enough to cover all of the windows. The hotel looks tired and knocked around. Even one of the staff mentioned it's due for a refurbishment. But the...

Beautiful, stylish and calm place. Comfortable bedding, nice staff, well equipped
From arrival to departure, we experienced excellent service in a charming, elegant and peaceful setting. The food was exquisite in flavour, service and presentation. Truly remarkable!
Not my first time here, definitely not my last! I’ve travelled the world and this always comes back to be one of my favourite restaurants on this planet! Keep up the excellent work guys
Lovely re-purposed Queenslander residence. Clean, comfortable, convenient. Excellent staff team. Good all-day dining. Interesting retreat with pleasant outdoor dining ambience including balcony, courtyard and rooftop. Touch of luxury.
Not our first time staying at a Spicers and won't be our last. From the room upgrade, the amazing staff and the delicious dinner... can't recommend Spicers Balfour enough. Was perfect for what we needed - a quiet getaway with everything at our fingertips and no requirement to leave. Restaurant was just delicious. Already looking forward to returning. Some other reviews mention that the view from the...
The suites are located in a beautifully renovated old building and are so gorgeous and comfortable. The location is perfect for seeing a different side of Brisbane (we had an event on at the Powerhouse and it was just nearby) and breakfast at the restaurant was fabulous. A perfect stay.

It's an ok hotel in a great location close to the queen street mall. The parking is a surprise at $25/night and is extremely tight. Need to have eyes on sticks to not ding your car. The room was basic.
I had a wonderful room booked, but had an an unpleasant experience with the bed having a terrible divider up the middle which were hard and uncomfortable. Having recently had serious back surgery after fracturing my spine , this weren't u ideal. Staff, however, did promptly place me in another room with a better bed. However, on this floor housekeeping were horridly noisy and constantly slammed...
Great prices and cozy rooms, i saw on some reviews that there was a pool but looking around and asking there is none. The room had no microwave but did have a mini fridge. If you want lots of room and privacy this shouldn’t be your first choice but overall it was great and had a lovely cafe/restaurant to eat at in the foyer
Service was slow and disorganised, the room I got toilet didn’t flush and heater/aircon didn’t work. Was very disappointed!
Great Location, Close to River Stage & Museum.Shops & Mall Friendly staff, Rooms are nothing flash but its the location that's great, Showers are terrible, no pressure. Parking is not included in your stay price so an extra charge But..Our Family enjoyed our stay & we would stay again Thank you

It has been a pleasure to watch you take the reins of your new business over the last few months.
Pretty good deal with the price we paid and it's spacious, you get your own balcony, bathtub washing machine and cooking amenities very clean and close to the train station and cbd.
First of all, the room that we had was amazing: clean and chic. The building is well situated to the CBD (central business district). Now for all the wonderful details. You can take a taxi directly to the hotel/apartments, but if you take the AirTrain from the airport (domestic or international) you will find yourself at Central Station. There is a short cut to get to the Astor, but it's too complicated...

I found the staff not as friendly as they claim to be on the website. Upon arrival there the TV wasn't working. No wifi. Called for help was given wrong password. If there's more than 2 people staying,be prepared to bring your own supplies such as toilet paper, dish...
If you’re planning a trip to Point Lookout, I can’t recommend Pandanus Palm Resort enough! From the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional. The accommodation was spacious, immaculately clean, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay...
We had a great apartment, cleanliness and its amazing amenities! Its also near the beach. Perfect place to unwind and relax while on holiday☺️ recommend this place 100%
We had a fabulous time and were close to everything .The pool and grounds are beautiful. Even walking distance to the pub. The only thing was no full length mirror or air conditioning (just fans). But a beautiful ocean view and undercover parking.
We had an enjoyable three night stay at Pandanus Palms. Although we were initially allocated to an incorrect room (that had clearly not yet been cleaned), this was quickly corrected by the on-site managers and all was good. The upstairs/downstairs layout was roomy enough, and the kitchen facilities and living/dining area worked well. Bed was comfy, shower was fine (we were aware it was just a single...
Excellent service and very flexible. I requested an early check-in, and it was no problem—they made all the necessary arrangements. Pickleball was a hit, and the view and serenity were magnificent. I absolutely recommend the staff for their exceptional service and flexibility. Terrific hotel, comfortable, clean, on site parking and walking distance to many restaurants and bars. Extremely friendly and helpful staff who go above and beyond to assist their guests. Breakfast is good value too. Will definitely stay here again. It is also not far from several hospitals so would be good place to stay if you’re in Brisbane for medical appointments and your from a rural area.
Excellent hotel, great service, close to South Bank and the Gabba. Very clean rooms.
Amazing service and super helpful staff. The buffet breakfast offers a selection of basic yet satisfying dishes that cover all the essentials. While the variety may not be extensive, each option is delicious and perfectly prepared, definitely worth the money.
We absolutely loved the hotel. The gentleman on the service desk was so kind and helpful. We loved the room, good size and clean and well kept. The bed was made every day and fresh towels available when we needed them. Tea and coffee sachets topped up everyday. A coffee machine in the lobby was available for free drinks any time of the day. Good place for a drink. Quiet a few to choose from. Good reasonably priced food. Good atmosphere. Good staff. Orient is a good place to catch up with some drinks and food
The staff are great and friendly and helpful. I like the rebranding. It makes it a more fun and quirky bar. The food is ample in size and usually good. The price point may need to bring in the punters a bit.
Stay away from fish & chips. Processed fish, obviously caught in someoneons freezer
Book upstairs cause it's noisy on the ground floor! (Kitchen closing at 9:00 pm, for normal people that's unbelievable!!!)
The new "Mexican" menu is AWFUL. Replaced sour cream as a side with thickened cream?? Avoid the food. Stick with the booze. And Tuffy.

Very large rooms, clean and bright. There's nothing very luxury there it's more like an alright hotel for family. The gym is ok. The spa was quite cold. I liked that they had everything to cook. The hotel is in a good location, very close to Milton Station. The hotel facilities are very good, clean and the rooms are large, but you have to check in before 5 o'clock. If you check in late, the waiters will be off work. The hotel is cost-effective and I will book this hotel again next time.
It was a nice apartment with a kitchenette, living room and bedroom that you could close off from the living room with a sliding door. So there was privacy after all. The room was noisy - it was unclear whether it came from an adjacent hotel room or outside.

Rooms are clean and decent, bed was uncomfortable and the lifts were abit dodgy. Very safe with key access. Great parking.
Super location, a stone's throw from Kangaroo Point and the Hoffman Street ferry stop. We stayed in a lovely apartment on the 3rd floor with a balcony overlooking the trees at the front. The swimming pool and sauna were more than adequate, and the parking was easy. This was a really nice stay which made you feel you were in a quiet resort as opposed to Brisbane city centre!
Basically a small apartment, a bit tricky if you arrive outside opening hours to get the key. Good position.
Great location, apartment was lovely and spacious and staff were very helpful with arrival and attended issue with shower quickly . Would definitely stay again
Nice, spacious room. Furniture and art work looks a bit dated, but debs a nice and there is lots of room. Also really liked the view from the balcony. It’s just convenient, but it’s still not cost-effective in terms of price and grade.
The facilities are old, and the room smells bad when you open the door. You can open the window, but there is a roar outside all day and night. One of the loveliest places we've stayed. Helen on reception made us feel so at home and like we were old friends. Worth booking direct...had a nice bottle of wine included. Will definitely stay again and recommend it highly.
Rooms were neat and clean with all the right amenities. Receptionist was very welcoming and helpful, felt like a genuine person rather than the usual robots you find running motels/hotels. She recommended us the “Eat Street Markets” for a night activity which was amazing as well. Overall lovely place and will be my go to motel for the time being.
Amazing experience. Room was beautiful and clean. Cam the GM was super helpful and pleasant to deal with. Close to everything including a nice stroll on the water. Plenty food options. When we come back to Brisbane I'll be straight back. Thankyou from a couple Westerners.
Helen and Cameron were absolutely wonderful. They were so kind and went above and beyond to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. The facilities were excellent, so clean and tidy. Couldn’t recommend staying here enough!!
Our stay was great! Helen is super helpful and absolutely lovely. From the moment we walked through the front door - we felt very welcomed. Location is good too. Would definitely recommend and would 100% stay here again.

The staff are so wonderful and considerate. The rooms are well appointed with everything you need: comfortable bed, large tv with foxtel, well stocked mini bar and immaculately cleaned. This hotel is reasonably priced & not far from the airport. Do yourself a favour and try it out. Definitely 5 stars from me. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We stopped over quickly in between flights. Beautiful, clean rooms and amazing stocked fridges in each room (perfect for a late night snack while watching the tennis!). But hands down the highlight was the transfer to the airport - the driver was an absolute delight and we really appreciated her amazing hospitality!
It was a comfortable enough stay, however there were some very creaky floorboards which made it difficult to get around quietly. Also the shuttle to the airport doesn't start until 6.30am which is too late for some of those early morning flights. Also the twin room in our apartment didn't have its own air con and it was warm!!
Rooms were spotless and very spacious, bathroom was very clean. Pool was small and nothing to special. No where to fill up water so get ready to pay for bottled water there. the free shuttle unfortunately arrived very late nearly making us late for our flight even when it was supposed to come at 8 but came at 8:30. Though overall very nice and helpful staff
The room is clean and the supporting services are good. The hotel has free laundry service. The front desk will issue the laundry room key. Customers can use the key to do laundry late at night. There is also contactless check-out. You can check out by putting the room key in the key box.
The biggest advantage is that it is convenient to the airport. There is nothing around. The buildings near the road are a bit noisy. It is a bit cold in winter. The social security is a bit old. Hotels in Australia are like this. The overall hardware is a bit poor.
