Brisbane, Corner of Edward Street & Margaret Street 🧭 Map
well located hotel - older style large rooms.
The gym and pool is great.
The restaurant option is excellent.
The room is comfortable.
Location was good (but the CBD is very small, so I would think this would be true of almost any hotel in the CBD). I was let down by the service and communication between the hotel teams:
1. I dropped off bags prior to checking in and was told it would be delivered to my room by the time I arrived. This was reiterated by the front desk when I checked in. The bags were not in the room but were brought...
We attended the Mad Hatter High Tea for Easter. It was a very whimsical experience immensely enjoyed by our group of ladies who attended. The effort Stamford Plaza puts into the event is beautiful and I saw the kids who attended all very excited. The hotel itself is a beautiful hotel, and the staff are lovely. I have attended other high teas here and I have to say it was my favorite. Highly recommend...
Went there for a high tea.
Food is amazing.
A waiter spilled a tray of iced tea down my shirt. Oh well stuff happens.
Gave me a shirt to compensate for my shirt being soaked and offered to wash and ship my shirt to my house.
More importantly they replaced my coffee that had iced tea splashed into it by accident.
Outstanding service, will most likely return in the future.
Please do not fire the...
Great sized room and spacious bathroom. The room is a bit old fashioned styled, TV was inside a timber cabinet, for instance. The only downside was no tea coffee making facilities in the room. The breakfast buffet was excellent as well. Location of the hotel in the heart of the CBD with river views is a plus.

The mattress was unbearable. Would not stay again.
Travel is very convenient and the staff are very enthusiastic
The location is fantastic. Having a kitchen is really handy. The balcony was great.
The room was old. Old curtains. The wall had chunks of plaster coming off from where the lounge rubs. The window sill was dusty. The lounge was small and dirty. The blanket from the cupboard was dusty. The doona had feathers coming out of it.
The hotel is in a great location, right across from the lagoon and cultural venues. The jacuzzi was nice, as was the pool and gym. I spent a lot of time in the Ovello café and the staff were super friendly and the food was excellent. I would have liked my room to be serviced on the second day.
Can't fault the location for entertainment and dining. Check-in was a breeze, the person at the front desk was chirpy and very helpful. The room was clean, spacious but felt a little sterile akin to a nice hospital room. A bit noisy at night but to be expected staying in the City.
Check in was easy, staff very friendly.
The website advertises sound proof windows and block out curtains.
Forget sound proof windows, as they definitely are not. They barely lock. The curtains do block out the light, but only when the actually are long enough to cover all of the windows.
The hotel looks tired and knocked around. Even one of the staff mentioned it's due for a refurbishment.
But the...

Brisbane, 37 Balfour St, New Farm 🧭 Map
We booked the hotel as a base for a few days exploring Brisbane. The hotel is located in a fantastic spot, quiet, but short walking distance to lots of great dining and walking areas. The property is beautifully presented and the staff are welcoming and helpful.
Being a small boutique hotel it had genuine character. I will stay here again.
Well located in heart of Brisbane easy access to city. Enjoyable stay with attentive staff
Staff were wonderful. Katelyn made our stay. Thank you for such a warm and comfortable stay.
We stayed here for 2 nights in a suite. Lovely big room and fantastic bathroom, all beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean. We had breakfast here both mornings. The food and coffee are all freshly made and delicious, although the service can be slightly on the slow side (on our first morning we waited over 20 mins for our coffees but i think this is because they forgot our order). We ate here...

Great Southern Hotel Brisbane
Brisbane, 103 George Street 🧭 Map
Great position clean and very tidy lovely service
Undergoing construction so get drills and hammers from 730 onwards in the morning, but that’s only for a while
Great place to stay close to everything would recommend to anyone
I booked this room for just me in the first place and then ended up staying with my partner
There were two queen beds at the end which made us happy
Bad smell when got in the room in first day
bad internet connection so can not work
no daily clean up unless inform reception
i do not know this
i used clean up light before i left to work
after work still all mess
upset upset upset
Happy close to south-bank and lots of shopping
Good value, right in the CBD which is good for first time visitors. Amenities are average and during my visit in December, there was a lot of renovation work during the day so it was a bit noisy especially when my room was right next to the renovation zone.

The Astor Apartments

Stayed in a 2 room apartment.
Big spacious living area, well appointed kitchen and laundry.
Area was nice.
Car parking was included
Business Trip
Great location in the heart of Brisbane, large apartment with great views. Everything you need nearby whether you want to eat in or out. I will definitely stay again.
Very clean and tidy.
Great communication throughout whole experience.
Overall great experience
Besides the windows been left open and 1 of the beds being soaked and the bedside lamp being covered in water (dangerous) everything else was perfect
The room is very big
There are uphill and downhill slopes from the subway to the station, so be careful when pushing luggage.
The kitchen facilities are very complete
It’s great to have a dishwasher
Very close to the city
There is no bathtub in the bathroom, it is a shower
There is a balcony, washing machine and dryer
I couldn't close the window because of the window air conditioner. It was uncomfortable to hear the noise.
I didn't use the washing machine because it was dirty. It was nice that the window was large and wide.

I found the staff not as friendly as they claim to be on the website. Upon arrival there the TV wasn't working. No wifi. Called for help was given wrong password. Front desk said everything in email, which couldn't be accessed without wifi. The pool wasn't cleaned for 2 days .. full of leaves. If there's more than 2 people staying,be prepared to bring your own supplies such as toilet paper, dish...
If you’re planning a trip to Point Lookout, I can’t recommend Pandanus Palm Resort enough! From the moment we arrived, the experience was exceptional. The location is unbeatable, nestled in a peaceful setting yet conveniently close to stunning beaches, walking trails, and local cafes. The accommodation was spacious, immaculately clean, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay...
We had a great apartment, cleanliness and its amazing amenities! Its also near the beach. Perfect place to unwind and relax while on holiday☺️ recommend this place 100%
The property we stayed in was lovely. The views were gorgeous from the balcony. The apartment had everything we needed including a massive bbq and outdoor area.
Only slight issue was one toilet seat was very old and needs updating and a few of the sliding doors need oiling. Other than that, everything was thought of and included.
Communication on the day was excellent.
Thoroughly enjoyed Stradbroke...
We had a fabulous time and were close to everything .The pool and grounds are beautiful. Even walking distance to the pub. The only thing was no full length mirror or air conditioning (just fans). But a beautiful ocean view and undercover parking.
We would have liked air conditioning but the fans were good too.
So beautiful and clean , pool was amazing and the rooms were very well equipped.
Also Wayne is nice.

Very nice place close to everything in the town just walked distance
The Front Desk's service is very good, they helped us to make a call to the tourist spot in Gold Coast to facilitate us to change a booking time successfully to avoid missing travel schedule.
Terrific hotel, comfortable, clean, on site parking and walking distance to many restaurants and bars. Extremely friendly and helpful staff who go above and beyond to assist their guests. Breakfast is good value too. Will definitely stay here again. It is also not far from several hospitals so would be good place to stay if you’re in Brisbane for medical appointments and your from a rural area.
Excellent hotel, great service, close to South Bank and the Gabba. Very clean rooms.
Amazing service and super helpful staff. The buffet breakfast offers a selection of basic yet satisfying dishes that cover all the essentials. While the variety may not be extensive, each option is delicious and perfectly prepared, definitely worth the money.
We absolutely loved the hotel. The gentleman on the service desk was so kind and helpful. We loved the room, good size and clean and well kept. The bed was made every day and fresh towels available when we needed them. Tea and coffee sachets topped up everyday. A coffee machine in the lobby was available for free drinks any time of the day. The location of the apartments is very good with higher floors having amazing views of the river and sime of the city. It proximity is close to all public transport and within 3km of the CBD. The facilities thay are available are great and the security is second to none.
Very large rooms, clean and bright. There's nothing very luxury there it's more like an alright hotel for family. The gym is ok. The spa was quite cold. I liked that they had everything to cook. The washing machine and dry worked well. The water pressure in the bathroom was good. The beds were comfortable. Nothing special about the place and good price for it!

Check in experience was poor. Demanded a bond which was a surprise. Room was dated and not worth the money. Pool was excellent though. A bit disappointed for the price.
Lovely welcome on arrival Our Apartment was spacious comfortable and clean View across City is truly amazing Dining shops grocery nearby Just lovely walking around the area of Kangaroo Point Really nice Pool Spa Gym, Transport is nearby bus and ferry Parking is undercover at cost Absolutely loved our stay here Would totally recommend
At first we where in a studio next to Storey Bridge ask management for a move due to noise from Bridge . Then was give an apartment over looking river. excellent.
Appearances may deceive
Bridgewater is well located with restaurants close by. The CBD is also walkable distance. The outside of the building plus the lifts and common areas ( hallways/ lobby) were 4 star standard and very clean, however, the unit I booked desperately needs renovation and I would only rate it 3 stars. good stay, parking was a bit of a hassle but all good
It’s just convenient, but it’s still not cost-effective in terms of price and grade.
The facilities are old, and the room smells bad when you open the door. You can open the window, but there is a roar outside all day and night. The breakfast buffet only has a few kinds of bread and cold milk coffee, orange juice, meat slices, cheese slices, tomatoes, meat, and beans. I have to ask the waiter to ask for it. You can ask for it multiple times, but the amount at one time is pitifully...
Friendly and attentive staff, lovely room with all the basics and tastefully furnished. I also like the fact that a light continental breakfast is included in the room price. It is also a great central location being 100 metres walk from the queen street mall
Good western style accommodation.

Great parking, friendly staff. Excellent location, a short walk to restaurants, bars, supermarket. Very close to Brisbane Airport.
Family room with seperate bedroom for the kids, perfect.
One of the loveliest places we've stayed. Helen on reception made us feel so at home and like we were old friends. Worth booking direct...had a nice bottle of wine included. Will definitely stay again and recommend it highly.
Rooms were neat and clean with all the right amenities. Receptionist was very welcoming and helpful, felt like a genuine person rather than the usual robots you find running motels/hotels. She recommended us the “Eat Street Markets” for a night activity which was amazing as well. Overall lovely place and will be my go to motel for the time being.
Amazing experience. Room was beautiful and clean. Cam the GM was super helpful and pleasant to deal with. Close to everything including a nice stroll on the water. Plenty food options. When we come back to Brisbane I'll be straight back. Thankyou from a couple Westerners.
Helen and Cameron were absolutely wonderful. They were so kind and went above and beyond to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. The facilities were excellent, so clean and tidy. Couldn’t recommend staying here enough!!
Our stay was great! Helen is super helpful and absolutely lovely. From the moment we walked through the front door - we felt very welcomed. Location is good too. Close to air port but also a short drive into the city. The room itself was spotless - and the little touches with the chocolate and complementary water was wonderful. Would definitely recommend and would 100% stay here again.

There is no way in any sane person's mind a motel with no desk service is a 4 Star Hotel.

As a solo female traveler I care about security and solitude if needed and a company if I feel like it. You can find all of it in this hotel.
Very convenient location close to food and major shopping centre. Staff were very friendly.
The room had an immediate unpleasant odour on opening the door.
The shower wall had long black hairs stuck to the tiles and remnants of old soap/shampoo. There was the remains of something that had previously broken off in the shower cubicle. The bathroom basin was mouldy around the plug hole.
The blanket from the cupboard had an unpleasant smell.
As I exited the lift on the first floor the lighting...
Great location and price (for area) place needs either some serious maintenance or upgrading or both. Fire alarm and evacuation triggered by a smoker at 8am was far from appreciated.
Check-in was much more difficult than my last stay, which was disappointing. There was no internet available during the visit, so the TV didn’t work at all. Also, the shower clearly needed maintenance. Overall, not the smooth experience I’d had previously.
No early exit key drop box which did lead to being late to conference.
