Sofitel Brisbane Central
Brisbane, 249 Turbot Street 🧭 Map
It is very comfortable and convenient to the city. A very good bed too.
The location is perfect! Step off the train walk through the station and you're at the entrance to the Sofitel. The rooms were clean and spacious and the location was perfect for pottering around Brisbane. Enjoyed room service one night, and had a lovely swim in the heated pool and spa every night. Can't wait to go back!
My son and I came down to Brisbane for a theatre weekend and some shopping. The location was fantastic, really close to Queens Street Mall. The cleanliness of our hotel was brilliant, nothing to fault. The staff were fabulous and really did their best to keep us happy. The only thing that could be improved would be bottles of water and more amenities, such as toothbrush, shaving kit, tubes of cream...
The hotel location is really convenient in Central Station. It takes around 25min from Brisbane Airport.
Room is ok and staff service is nice. But the swimming pool opens till 9pm which is too early. After i finish dinner, i can only swim for 30 min: if the pool opening hours are till 10:30pm, I will definitely rebook next time
Too old, all facilities are too old inside the room, the parking should be free or 50% discount.

The location is superb. It located right at the CBD. Very easy to get around. The service was fast especially the check in process. We arrived early and got check in very fast. We complain about the cleanliness and staff was attentive upon the request we made. The staff were very nice.We got a free upgrade from 13th floor to 21st floor. The downside is that the bedsheet and pillowcase change was very...
Superb location with numerous choice of food around. Friendly and helpful service too! Though room is on small side, it was comfortable and had everything I needed.
A very upsetting experience dealing with the staff here. I would not recommend. Staff are rude and unprofessional.
The hotel is extremely well located in the cbd. The facilities of the hotel are very good. Luca was extremely helpful , polite and obliging at reception. The breakfast was great, the room. Was clean with a magnificent view of the entire Brisbane skyline. Highly recommend this hotel to all visitors to Brisbane. It makes a huge positive difference to your entire stay.
The location was prime. The room was clean however it is the first ever hotel that did not provide complimentary water. I’m very disappointed by such arrangement.
Perfect location in the centre of Brisbane, easy walk to everything you need. Very helpful staff and great facilities.

We had a lovely stay in at the Amora! The lady who checked us in was so friendly, lovely and very helpful. All the staff were really lovely 😊 Our room had been recently renovated and was stunning, so much comfort! The hotel itself is really lovely inside, the new renovations are really modern! The renovations themselves did not affect us in the slightest due to being there on a weekend. Lovely breakfast...
Stayed here for 3 days/ 2 nights for a work conference that was being held at the hotel. I have to say I was super impressed with everything. The conference rooms we used were great. The accommodation rooms were also great. We ate breakfast/ morning tea/ lunch/ afternoon tea and dinner on-site each day and absolutely enjoyed it all. Well done to the kitchen staff!! The location was perfect, 3 min walk...
Great stay for 3 nights in august 2023. The rate was better than others in the city and it was only an 8 minute walk from queen street where I needed to be so I booked this hotel. I found out when I arrived there is ongoing construction but honestly It was not disruptive to me at all. I was at work all day and did not hear any noise the days I was in the room. Some parts of the lobby are being renovated...
When I arrived early, I was very fatigued due to being on a last minute business trip. A big shout out to Raquel at the front desk who greeted me warmly and offered me a bottle of water, which I appreciated since I travelled without mine to lighten my bags! I noted her high level of professionalism and ability to put me at ease. I was able to drop my bag and head back to the centre of town for meetings...
Excellent hotel stay. Clean rooms, friendly staff, great amenities, and convenient location. Although the gym and spa were undergoing renovations, the staff kindly provided a complimentary access card to Anytime Fitness. It would be greatly appreciated if they considered including bathrobes and slides to enhance the overall experience. Highly recommend.
Service was exceptional. They allowed me to use the stairs to access my room as I have severe claustrophobia. A staff member named Cooper walked me up and back down the stairs a few times and was incredibly polite and empathetic to my situation which makes me want to come back for my next trip. Rooms were lovely and clean, staff were all friendly and the beds were comfy! Definitely will return.

They still haven't fixed the air conditioner in room 207. It's been making noise for 4 months already. There's a train station and a supermarket nearby. Close to the city center.
Looks good, tidy and clean Bed quality was the best to take a great sleeping I can stay here more 5 nights😂😂😂😂
Brisbane YHA was a great base for my weekend trip to the city. As a female solo traveller looking for a cheap bed, it served its purpose nicely. Whilst the location is a short walk from the CBD, and close to the Southbank, the surrounding area felt quite run-down, and was basically just a stretch of backroads lined with backpacker hostels, hence didn’t feel super safe at nighttime. The room was clean...
One of the nicest hostel facilities in Brisbane, nice rooftop, but the bunk beds are a little hard to climb into and rooms are not well ventilated so if someone stinks everyone can smell it. The room I stayed in had a noise problem with the door shaking every 2 minutes very loud due to wind or something, ear plugs are definitely needed to stay here.
The YHA in Brisbane is my favorite in Brisbane. The rooms are clean and big enough (4share), in a convenient location close to the center - and it has a nice rooftop terrace with regular events such as Mario cart night (see pictures) Only downside for me was that there was a working holiday makers, charging a huge, loudly whirring e-bike battery in the room.
Quite nice during my stays here .. definitely will come back again if I visit here again. Feelings comfortable and quite near to city , public transport nearby. Strategic location 👍🏼

Got a bridge view room for the Riverfire. My kids loved the convenience of being able to see the fireworks from the bedroom window.
Wonderful hotel. Stayed here for only one night. But it was great. The bed is comfortable, room was tidy and cleaned. Style-wise is a bit dated side but maintained well. The best is the view, in our room can see the story bridge which is amazing!! Definitely recommend or at least give it a try!
Great location and good view if you get river view. Also the river walk is super close and has great view of the story bridge and skyline. Check in was little messy. Had to go to front desk again to get the river view room which they said would be but it wasn't when they moved me to higher floor per my request (River View with higher floor was my request) Room 2012: First thing I noticed was how...
Stunning views and beautiful, clean, facilities including a large heated pool and spa, and spacious gym. Buffet breakfast and room service quality was lovely. Stayed here for a Saturday night on our wedding anniversary. By pure good fortune, we scored an upgrade to the Presidential Suite no less. Excellent Hotel and facilities, fast check in and check out. I have stayed here at this hotel around 7 times now over the last few years. Great team and very comfortable room i, highly recommend it.
The hotel staff at the location are very friendly and attentive to our needs. The location is great and only 5 mins walk away from major attractions such as the Botanical Gardens and Queen Street Mall. Would totally recommend!
This was my second stay at this hotel, and it was just as good as the first. The location is convenient, the rooms are comfortable, and the staff are consistently professional. well located hotel - older style large rooms.
The gym and pool is great. The restaurant option is excellent. The room is comfortable.
Location was good (but the CBD is very small, so I would think this would be true of almost any hotel in the CBD). I was let down by the service and communication between the hotel teams: 1. I dropped off bags prior to checking in and was told it would be delivered to my room by the time I arrived. This was reiterated by the front desk when I checked in. The bags were not in the room but were brought...
We attended the Mad Hatter High Tea for Easter. It was a very whimsical experience immensely enjoyed by our group of ladies who attended. I have attended other high teas here and I have to say it was my favorite. Highly recommend...
Went there for a high tea. Food is amazing. A waiter spilled a tray of iced tea down my shirt. Oh well stuff happens. Gave me a shirt to compensate for my shirt being soaked and offered to wash and ship my shirt to my house. More importantly they replaced my coffee that had iced tea splashed into it by accident. Outstanding service, will most likely return in the future. Please do not fire the...
Great sized room and spacious bathroom. The room is a bit old fashioned styled, TV was inside a timber cabinet, for instance. The only downside was no tea coffee making facilities in the room. The breakfast buffet was excellent as well. Location of the hotel in the heart of the CBD with river views is a plus.

Quite annoying how there isn't any parking at the hotel. I don't like having to walk through the shopping mall with my belongings to get to the foyer, and then pay $35 for the privilege! I only stayed for 1 night, checking in in the evening, then gone in the morning. No complaints. The room was clean and functional. Lots of TV channels to choose from. I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Brisbane Central for two weeks, and while my overall experience was moderately satisfying, there were a few issues that left me disappointed. Very helpful reception staff, when I arrived after a very long drive. They made me tea while my room wD being prepared as I had arrived early. Lovely lounge area. Location is spectacular, especially when you drive to hotel.
Have stayed here couple times. Staff seem pretty friendly. Location and parking is good. Free breakfast is not the best. I would rather pay and get better option there. Will stay here again
Hotel is convenient to Central Station, turn left from the ticket gates. Rooms are nice overall although the bed was fairly firm. The blockout blinds are the best I've ever seen, why can't more hotels use this design as they are fitted to the window frame so completely block the light, very useful in Brisbane summer when it's light early. The included breakfast had a good range. I'd consider staying...
The disability access room was spacious and well laid out. The breakfast was plentiful, had good variety and was fresh. Everything felt clean and well maintained.
The rooms were a bit small, our hot water didn't work for 3 days until we switched rooms. The bathroom glass wall is a bad design for a couple staying in the room. Nonone can sleep while the other is getting ready. The lights are so bright and they shine through the shower wall. Aside from that, the staff was amazing and friendly. Location is great! Very deceiving pictures. The room was small, with air-con and refrigerator so loud and noisy that we had to turn them off at night. Buffet breakfast had limited options and the service at restaurant was very bad.
The hotel was good in size and close to where I want to be. Will be back if possible.
It’s good for business, view from the balcony was nice.
The hotel falls within the 2–3 star range, and I noticed that they didn't seem to have many guests during my stay. Great experience from beginning to end. Greeted with a smile, can I get your bag? How was your day? So warm and welcoming. The rooms were nice and amazing views of the city and Brisbane River. Food was good too buy a little pricey. However all in all, well worth it!
Stayed here twice for business over the past 3 months. Apart from being free because of work it is a great hotel with well trained and courteous staff. Nice bar with awesome bar tenders.
Great location. Clean rooms. Has balconies which is great ! You can sit and enjoy Brisbane’s weather. The breakfast is lower than average. So basic which might you can get from outside for 20. Travel is very convenient and the staff are very enthusiastic
The location is fantastic. Having a kitchen is really handy. The balcony was great. The room was old. Old curtains. The wall had chunks of plaster coming off from where the lounge rubs. The window sill was dusty. The lounge was small and dirty. The blanket from the cupboard was dusty. The doona had feathers coming out of it.
The hotel is in a great location, right across from the lagoon and cultural venues. The jacuzzi was nice, as was the pool and gym. I spent a lot of time in the Ovello café and the staff were super friendly and the food was excellent. I would have liked my room to be serviced on the second day.
Can't fault the location for entertainment and dining. Check-in was a breeze, the person at the front desk was chirpy and very helpful. The room was clean, spacious but felt a little sterile akin to a nice hospital room. A bit noisy at night but to be expected staying in the City.
Check in was easy, staff very friendly. The website advertises sound proof windows and block out curtains. Forget sound proof windows, as they definitely are not. They barely lock. The curtains do block out the light, but only when the actually are long enough to cover all of the windows. The hotel looks tired and knocked around.
