Hyatt Hotel Canberra - A Park Hyatt Hotel

I would like to provide a more comprehensive and professional review of my recent hotel experience:

During my stay, I found the breakfast options to be somewhat limited considering the price paid per guest, which was $45. In comparison to other 5-star hotels, the quality and presentation of the pastries were not on par with expectations.

Additionally, the comfort of the king bed provided in the room was disappointing. It lacked the desired level of comfort, and any movement by one person would cause the entire bed to shake, including the mattress itself.

However, despite these drawbacks, there were several positive aspects of my stay that deserve recognition. First and foremost, the location of the hotel was excellent. It offered convenient access to various attractions and amenities, enhancing the overall convenience of my stay.

Furthermore, the facilities, especially the fitness center, were impressive. The fitness center provided a well-equipped space for workouts, allowing guests to maintain their exercise routines during their stay. This was a notable advantage and added value to the overall experience.

Lastly, I greatly appreciated the option of express checkout. This streamlined process allowed for a hassle-free departure, saving time and ensuring a smooth conclusion to my stay.

In summary, while there were some areas that fell short of expectations, such as the breakfast options and the comfort of the king bed, the positive aspects of the hotel, including its location, facilities (specifically the fitness center), and the convenience of express checkout, contributed to an overall satisfactory experience.

A very elegant and beautiful hotel with history. The seafood buffet on Friday night was exquisite and breakfast was amazing. Best poached eggs one could wish for. Even the more casual eatery just past the hotel lobby provided a delightful experience on our 2nd evening there. The pianist played the grand piano, art works and the garden views snatched from windows added to the ambience. The best hotel bathrooms, I must say.

I didn’t stay. I just had a fancy afternoon tea. It looks like it’s from a movie. The food was on big platters and we had our own really kind helper. She was really nice. There were scones, jam and cream. And small bamboo shaped boats of food. This was for my birthday and it was beautiful. Everyone was so kind. I don’t think this could get any better

I have stayed at the Hyatt Hotel Canberra numerous times and this hotel never disappoints. The hotel has a historic charm to it and it never gets old. From the minute the front door opens, to check in, to enter the room, it has always been a delight to stay at the Hyatt Hotel Canberra.

The rooms are well appointed and spacious and have all the amenities one can require. The buffet for breakfast has a wide spread of selection.

An added bonus was the two Tesla chargers in the basement of the hotel, which we always available when we needed to charge the car.

Looking forward to my next stay at the Hyatt Hotel Canberra.

Beautiful Art Deco. Lovely rooms. Very quiet. Great Service. Comfortable beds. Good food selection. Room Service has no idea what each dish is all about. Sadly the young girl was way out of her depth. Having said that, it really is a great place to stay and wonderful after a long drive.

We loved it so much we got married here!!Refined art deco elegance. The staff were friendly, warm and professional. The hotel lobby, bar and lounge areas were so relaxing and luxurious. Our room was very spacious ... it was the size of a suite really - with garden views, was so quiet and had all the luxuries you would expect from a 5 star property. Full of old world charm with every modern convenience. The grounds and gardens were superb. A perfect short getaway from Melbourne.

While there is no doubt that she is a grand old lady there is some question as to her level of luxury. She needs investment of both money and employee's to get her back on t he top shelf. I love this spot and I am a regular here for tea, however, I would dearly love to see some money spent on a revamp .... soon.

A beautiful, classy hotel. The buffet was divine, especially the seafood. The morning and afternoon teas looked delicious too. The buffet dessert bar had a large variety of bite sized desserts, so you could try a few.

Update Feb-2018: moved from 5 stars to 4. The hotel all but shuts down for an event and hotel guests become second class. There was Qatar Air event and the hotel service disappeared. It would have been nice to be notified of the event in advance but none of the staff provided that accommodation. There was no parking available and movement through the hotel was restricted.

Beautiful, elegant hotel with large rooms that are quiet and well appointed. My bathroom was twice a large as the one in my room at the Sydney Marriott. Staff is helpful and professional. Ample onsite parking is available. I will continue to stay here on my visits to Canberra.

This is a very well run Hotel. It may be because Canberra has access to a lot of smart intelligent students studying at the ANU, but I find the hotel as well as the wait Staff at the restaurant very good and very helpful. Be prepared to pay premium for this as well.
However you can go there out of parliamentary cycles and enjoy the discounts.
