Twin Towers Inn

I cannot see how this has 4 stars. We stayed here for two nights while I took my father for cancer treatment. An aggressive man who appeared to be on drugs accosted us while were leaving for dinner. He thumped on my vehicle and called my father and I homophobic slurs. It was upsetting for my mother who was with us and we reported the incident to reception who failed to take the situation seriously.

I would describe the rooms as 'run down', instead of 'dated' as others suggest. The carpet is prehistoric and there was a big sticky stain on the floor beneath the fridge. The grout and crevices in the bathroom could do with a deep scrub to get the grime out. Well overdue for some refurbishment.

They advertise a spa and we had hoped to relax before my father had surgery, but when I inquired I was told it is only a cold pool with bubbles.

The staff are pleasant enough and the location and price is reasonable, but regrettably, current ratings overstate the cleanliness and service. Had we not been attacked on the grounds of the hotel, I might have been able to give it 3 stars, but when someone shows such aggression to guests the incident should be investigated and the culprit made to leave to ensure the safety of other guests.

I've booked Superior Twin Room and got very disappointed with the room condition. Please don't go with the photos listed in their booking sites/website. The photos might have taken when it was constructed. The room given to us was shabby. The mattress was on the bedframe which keep shaking and moving, it wasn't a proper bedding as per the photos.

Few things were good,
- Room was spacious, WIFI, car parking and guest kitchen.

Bed was rock hard, furniture dark and dated and parking is a significant walk from your room- which is difficult for mobility restricted and with heavy luggage, that is if you are lucky to get a park. Your room is not allocated a car park. Car parks are reserved for NSW govt workers. When arriving home late, there was no parking left for us. We stayed in one of the front rooms and heard traffic and pool activity. Not the greatest experience sadly. As previously mentioned, also not the easiest to access.
