Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour, Sydney1 / 50
8.0
Sydney, 12 Darling Drive 🧭 Map
My welcome was warm and personal as usual. My room was on the 19th floor with amazing views of Darling Harbour. The hotel is very close and within walking distance to many restaurants and the Sydney Conference Centre
I enjoyed a few drinks in the reasonably priced lobby bar with complementary nuts, its a good meeting spot. My room was well appointed with an exceptional bath room and a bed fit for weary travelers
Another amazing visit to Sofitel Darling Harbour. The views from this hotel are mind-blowing. The executive lounge is magnificent. Thank you, Yen, for your smiling face
Elevators were quick and responsive with the security of key card entry. Overall my stay was very enjoyable and quiet
Well located and views to die for. The new bar on level 35 delivers some of the best views in Sydney. Its a bit further to walk to the city but this is outweighed by the fact the hotel is amazing
We stayed on the Easter weekend and were treated to an amazing fireworks show at Darling Harbour. We went up to the swimming pool on level 4, a great location to view the fireworks show. Always a pleasure to stay here

This hotel is the perfect location for a harbour view. Walk to the Opera House, close to the light rail etc. Excellent attentive friendly service from the moment the car pulled up outside. Seamless check-in and check out
The hotel was filled with all great and fabulous things. It gives a great view and the most comfortable and spacious rooms. The staff were very polite and honest. Wow, the food, like no other, that was superb
Straight after we checked in and went out for the night we came back to a bucket of ice in our room and slippers next to the bed and the water pulled forward next to the bed and our pillows set up nicely
We had such a wonderful stay over 10 nights at four seasons Sydney. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic! You can walk to almost all the touristy and shopping spots in the city
The big bus tour station is also just two minutes walk from the hotel. We even got to watch the new year fireworks directly from the comfort of our own hotel room. The room service food was good too
Maintenance of the room was very good. It doesn’t look tired and the bathroom was very clean, even the fixtures looked as good as brand new. Special mention to Jordan from the Mode restaurant

The evening food and drink options were always good and served as our dinner 8 of 9 nights. The location was amazing, only a five minute walk to the Circular Quay and the ferries, trains, trams and buses
Although a room was not available, we were given keys to an early arrival suite. We were able to take showers and change clothes, then stored our luggage at reception
This hotel and its staff was impeccable! Daniel at the front desk was incredibly friendly and had a wealth of knowledge to share about where to visit and what to see
We went to a performance at the Sydney Opera House which was less than a 15 minute walk away. The Concierge staff gave excellent suggestions and was always helpful
Daniel was a great first impression - Marriott is lucky to have him. The executive lounge was also impressive - a very large spread for breakfast and dinner
The room was great, with a view of the Opera House and harbor. The Executive Lounge had great breakfast choices and variety every day

I really loved the motorized blackout shades on the windows too! We had our breakfast included and everything was top notch/ delicious
Rooms are getting to that "maybe I need a refurb soon" state. There is one room with one of those full body showers - that thing is scary and water leaks all over the bathroom even with the door shut
Staying at the Hilton Sydney was an absolute delight from start to finish! The location couldn't have been better – right in the heart of the city, with easy access to shopping, dining, and major attractions
They went above and beyond to ensure that every need was met, from restaurant recommendations to arranging transportation. The dining options at the hotel were superb, with a diverse range of cuisines to choose from
The rooms were spacious, modern, and impeccably clean, providing a comfortable retreat after a busy day. One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional service provided by the staff
Whether enjoying a leisurely breakfast or indulging in a gourmet dinner, the food was always top-notch. Overall, our experience at the Hilton Sydney was nothing short of extraordinary

They have fully equipped gym on the top floor and wonderful pool & spa. Location is great too, close to everything
This hotel is fabulous! The people are kind and go out of there way to make you feel welcome! Daniela took the extra time to help us come up with a plan for our time in Sydney! The Taft in the club room greeted you with a smile and cheerfulness that made you excited to be there! The food in the club area was also beautiful and tasty! Thank you for making our stay so magical! We were sad to leave!
The view of the park is phenomenal…I can look out the window all day. I also love the location as it is close to CBD, but feels like a world apart thanks to the proximity to Hyde Park
A friend recommended the Sheraton Grand after they’ve stayed a few times. So far I’ve enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The room is nice, plenty of outlets for various devices
There are a lot of great food options in the area so it’s not a negative for me, but wanted to mention it for people that like to eat regularly at the hotel
My only con is the food at the hotel. It’s decent, but doesn’t compare to similar hotels in the area

The room was be very clean and the bathroom was very spacious as well with a large bath. Slightly expensive, however, it was worth every cent
Spacious rooms, well done bathroom, a huge gym, decent looking pool, spa, and lots of common areas
Nice hotel in an excellent position just by The Rocks area of Sydney where there are lots of bars and restaurants. Easy access to all of the main sights. The rooms are large for a city hotel and very comfortable
We are so grateful and were very pleased with the little extra things they did to make our celebration even more special. The room was wonderful and bed super comfy. Shower and amenities were fantastic
Getting to the hotel is a bit of an uphill walk but you can avoid the stairs by approaching from the left side and it’s just a few blocks to the waterfront, ferry and tram
What can I say, if you can spend the extra, the Grand Harbour Rooms will leave an everlasting memory. Big thanks to Charlie and his valet staff in valet parking

Also would be great if there was a price list for mini bar available in the digital compendium or room
Location is perfect, a minute's walk from Wynyard St and across the road from a Starbucks. A short walk to the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Harbour. Room was clean and spacious too. Buffet breakfast was delicious
Staff is very efficient and attentive. However, aside from the fact that the rooms are in bad need of renovating, cleanliness is lacking, attention to detail is just non existent
Beautiful room, very clean & tidy. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the views, and it was so close to everything! Right near the light rail, buses, & Wynyard station
Sometimes more friendly than competent. But they always try their very best to help you. The indoor pool is cool, so is the jacuzzi and the sauna. The showers there need an upgrade
Good 5 star hotel, which, however, would be even better if some of the rooms would be renovated and the restaurant would be designed a bit more charming. The stuff is very, very friendly

The updates made to the hotel are lovely, certainly improving the quality. We stayed in a Harbour view room and have no complaints. Large room, separate bedroom with a large balcony and nice view
Recently, my husband and I stayed at the Star Grand Hotel on the 7/2/23. We took a premium suite package, which included Harvest Buffet buffet breakfast, parking and a $50 dinner voucher
This was meant to celebrate a special personal event. I was a bit apprehensive as I did read up the reviews of the Star Grand Hotel before coming and they did not paint a welcoming staff picture
It took our breath away! This was in such stark contrast of the reviews of the service I had read in the reviews. Dita was such a pleasure checking us in
What was the most amazing thing was the view - we had a view of Darling Harbour and Port Jackson and it was just beautiful! My heartfelt thanks to Dita, which made me feel very special and made our stay a joy! Thank you Dita!
When she found out it was our first stay at the Star and that we took the package to celebrate a special event, she upgraded us to a much grander room

The rooms on the highest floors give you a nice view but the scenery from the lower floors is a put off. If you want a hotel with a nice big pool or gym, this is not exactly what you're looking for
Our stay was wonderful! The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was delicious! The validated parking was tremendous value! A very enjoyable time was had!
If anyone is looking for great deals on hotels go to HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around. Great location in the heart of the city and close to shopping
I only ate at the fondue restaurant here. A great range of dipping meats, veg and breads and a superb fonue dip. Several different flavoured fondues with different cheeses
The dark chocolate fondue for dessert was excellent. Limited covers, but did not seem too busy
Had a great night here. Just make sure the room you're given is the room you've paid for. Concierge attempted to switch ours without telling us. Luckily my girlfriend was on the ball! Nice try.

I especially loved the $10/night credit offered if you skip a room clean
Staff were extremely friendly, courteous and helpful. Hotel was within walking distance to Circular Quay. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Great view of the Harbour Bridge from our room. Very reasonably priced.
It's one of those hotels that corporate or business people uses for when travelling for work. What surprised me, was that the TV had access to downloaded movies and shows of all genres. Was a good library of choices
The team are so friendly, the room has everything you could possibly need. Step outside and youre walking distance to everything. The bed was comfy and was quiet to sleep
Front desk staff was very courteous and accommodating; went above and beyond to help me locate a lost item. Hotel is walking distance to many, many points of interest. Room was small but nicely appointed
Hotel will hold your bags, which is very helpful for a later departure. We were able to enjoy downtown Sydney a bit more and go out for a late lunch before leaving later in the afternoon

I love love this hotel! I have stayed there for 3 nights and it gave me homey vibes! The renovated rooms are fantastic and the shampoo/body lotions smells AMAZING! The location is the best part as it’s only a couple of minutes walk to the opera house! The view and service is impeccable! I cannot wait to stay at the intercontinental again!
This is a lovely hotel, where we have stayed several times. It's normally quiet, well appointed, and has nice extras like a pool on the 31st floor with a spectacular view over the harbour
After a break of many years, we recently returned and had a great stay. The hotel has been tastefully refurbished but still has an old world charm. Checked out the rooftop bar on level 32 which was fantastic
The room was well appointed and comfortable. The main draw is the location of the property - almost right on Circular Quay and a short walk to the Opera House and The Rocks
The breakfast was presented as one of the best levels we had seen before even though the service and the menu can be improved but we liked the experience in total
It’s somehow sad to leave this fantastic hotel. I suppose we came right time after the renovation. We started at level 28 and we loved the view

Staff are very attentive and they always clean your room and provide you fresh set of towels. I would like to commend, James the Duty Manager on the weekend of July 22, who was very accommodating to our requests
Our 2 weeks stay in the hotel was really awesome
The rooms are darker and older than I expected, the bathroom is a funny style and all the toilets (including those in function rooms) are very low set and I have to hit the flush button with my foot
The Sofitel Wentworth has an excellent location in central Sydney within easy walking distance of Circular Quay and Pitt St Mall. It adds a little extra something when the staff greet you in French!
They were consistently kind, professional, and accommodating, making my stay remarkably pleasant. Their exemplary service was a standout and definitely compensated for any lack in contemporary aesthetic
Another noteworthy convenience was the proximity to Ezymart. This store, open even at midnight, was a great resource for grabbing water and snacks, ensuring that I never went hungry or thirsty during my stay

Everything about this hotel exceeded my expectations! Highly recommend and will be back for another stay! Free upgrade, cake for the birthday we were celebrating, friendly staff, buffet breakfast delicious, clean, spacious rooms, comfortable beds
Hotel Manager: David does a great job. Concierge Staffs @ the front entrance always go out of their way for me not only with friendly greetings but with help finding transport & locations
Absolutely amazing service! So professional. Room was so inviting and spacious, with a stunning view and breakfast buffet was filled with an amazing selection of delicious foods and drinks
Reception Staffs are very accommodating. Breakfast restaurant chef always cheerfully cooks me my eggs & bacon to how I want them
Went for a spa treatment for the day which included access to the pools and sauna. Massage and facial treatment was excellent, would highly recommend

From the minute we arrived we were treated like VIPS, the rooms were spacious, the bathrooms were marble and very nice. The pool and spa were great to kill time between outings
Comfortable bed also! Was very delighted to stay here! We also had a nice swim in their pool which was great temp, the only negative was that the sauna was SO hot I felt like it was burning my skin and I literally couldn’t sit there
Great location, nice staff, room was a little dated but still lovely and clean. High ceilings in room which was nice. I like that the washroom has both a shower and separate tub
A wonderfully historic hotel backed by very courteous staff. We had 2 kids with us and the staff were really helpful and friendly. Pool and amenities were great. Will come back in the near future
I can only talk about the pool, spa and steam room which I had a chance to use. The pool was great - large enough and heated. The spa was smaller but a good level of heat
I've stayed here twice in the last month and each time has been a really pleasant experience. You can't beat the location for convenience with Vivid activities. Rooms are comfy, quiet and thoughtfully appointed

The beds were extremely comfy and i fell into deep sleeps at night. The pool was good, but it was small. Clean rooms and sanitary bathrooms. The lobby was nicely decorated and the location of the hotel was amazing
Stayed here Feb 20-24 Room 1713 visiting from UK. PROS - hotel is a short walk from Central Station. Most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Good buffet breakfast selection. CONS - bathroom had no towel rails
We stayed there for a night to celebrate my birthday. The hotel was very generous with compliments to make my birthday extra special. Indeed, they helped me enjoy my birthday
*Restaurant is just on the ground floor and you can also order for in-room service for your meal if you're not in the mood to go out
Rooms were spacious, had amazing views, had everything without requesting, the room service was highly commendable, and overall it simply made me love Sydney evermore! The receptionist Miss Lyndsay was so funny though and cooperative haha!
The buffet breakfast was a wide spread, even my kids enjoyed it. It's just sad they do not re-heat outside food (for my fussy-eater son) But all in all, we had a wonderful stay. We achieved the goal of relaxing weekend

Cheap in a nice quite location during the week... Cool vending machines down stairs with #Paypass which is extremely handy when you have no cash! While visiting go for a swim in the #olympicpool #epic
Once again the Pullman never fails to deliver! With the FIFAWWC2023, AFL and Cirque du Soleil happening we sadly couldn’t get a room and had to stay at another Accor hotel, but you can never go past the Pullman for breakfast, and they delivered! Nothing was an issue and Ines was so attentive and amazing
Our room was great, lovely big fluffy towels however the bed was uncomfortable and the body wash was empty
Thanks Pullman for capping off a great weekend
We stayed for Fridayz Live this weekend and the staff were friendly and helpful, they gave everyone free drink vouchers as check in is 2pm however it was 3pm before our room was ready, which is understandable given the turnover of guests
I don't know if it was because it was a particularly busy weekend that we were there, or if they were still having issues with their new system

I took the kids for first time staying hotel experience. We all love the Pullman Hype Park. Parking underground was so convenient and reasonable price. Swimming pool was little bit cold and small but it was lovely view
I stayed at the Pullman Hyde Park over the world pride period. I paid about $1850 for 4 nights. The rooftop pool area is great and also features a spa and gym The rooms are very spacious
Comfortable rooms and bed with a great view and lovely staff and service :) We stayed over the New Year and were surprised with welcome drink vouchers on arrival, a lovely bottle of Prosecco and mini desserts in our room
So thoughtful! We loved having a nice bathtub in our room and access to a 24/hr jacuzzi. There’s also a beautiful park nearby
The hotel was lovely, about what you would expect from a high end hotel. The rooms were clean, well equipped and accessible, the view was awesome, the elevators were quick
If you’re thinking about the MG parade on the future: I wasn’t informed about parade night restrictions, so it was a bit of a mess trying to regroup with a couple friends before heading to a post parade event - being told $70 just to let someone up to my room (only max 2 wristbands per room)

Excellent stay, so central to everything in the city and really appreciated the onsite parking. The rooms are very modern with all the amenities you need. Staff were friendly and happy to help with any queries we had
Travelled for work and stayed for 2 nights in a Deluxe Twin Room and found it to be a very spacious room. Only annoying thing was that there wasn’t a power point next to one of the beds which I thought was a little odd
Love the old style glass and wood deco matched by the modern rooms. The showers I won't describe because I wouldn't want to ruin the fabulous surprise. It's just a shame the room service isn't late night/24hour
We highly recommend this hotel! The location is great, with access to theatres, museums, restaurants and the light rail. The king room was enormous and beautifully decorated
I didn't want to leave that bed in the morning, it was so luxurious and comfortable! We didn't hear any noise from the corridor or other rooms

I recently had a wonderful 5-week stay on a business trip, and I couldn't be more pleased with my experience. The view was spectacular, great location and facilities
I look forward to returning to Fraser Suites, not only for work but also for leisure in the future. Thank you for providing such a comfortable and enjoyable stay!
Ray and Cindy, at the reception were equally delightful, always greeting me with warm smile. They are such a valuable asset to the company
Only thing I would adjust is the lighting in our room 2707. It needed a few more lights in the main area between the bed and the TV as it was a patch of darkness there. Apart from that was a great stay here!

The gym and pool shut at 10pm which is annoying for people who work late and return to find they can’t use it. A spa would have been a nice addition since the pool is outdated and in the open without heating
Convenient, cosy ( a bit dated), comfortable huge room, happy staff, well priced mini bar sodas, good pressure shower. Short corridor to the lift made early dash for the flight easier. Taxi ready and waiting $14.
Every staff member I met there was helpful and friendly. The room was super clean and house keeping team there does a great job I must say! They r very efficient and have good attention to detail
There is also a convenience store 1 block away and with 10min walking u can get to the Botany food district where there r lots of choices and they are all pretty good and affordable
