Not a bad hotel. Decent room. Great service. It's one of those hotels that corporate or business people uses for when travelling for work.
What surprised me, was that the TV had access to downloaded movies and shows of all genres. Was a good library of choices.
I really enjoyed my stay. The team are so friendly, the room has everything you could possibly need. Step outside and youre walking distance to everything. The bed was comfy and was quiet to sleep. I especially loved the $10/night credit offered if you skip a room clean.
3.5 stars if it was an option, but not 4 I’m afraid. The room was quite small as other reviews mention but more importantly the bed was uncomfortable as it’s too soft and also the fan didn’t work in our bathroom.
From a “four star” hotel you’d perhaps expect a bottle of complimentary water per guest each day when the rooms are cleaned. Especially in the heat! Another thing which I found slightly disappointing...
Really nice modern clean hotel. Staff all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was standard continental.
Location was central and very close to train station. As others have said, the rooms are quite small as the bed does partly block the doorway to the bathroom. Bathrooms can feel a bit cramped too with the towels hanging from the rail against your face when sitting on the bog 🤣 overall, a very pleasant...
Front desk staff was very courteous and accommodating; went above and beyond to help me locate a lost item. Hotel is walking distance to many, many points of interest. Room was small but nicely appointed. Hotel will hold your bags, which is very helpful for a later departure. We were able to enjoy downtown Sydney a bit more and go out for a late lunch before leaving later in the afternoon.
The location is perfect and the staff are so nice.

The hotel is in an excellent location close to the markets and China Town. The front office staff were efficient and welcoming. Members of the cleaning staff saw us with bags and offered to carry them for us. There is a great personal touch with all the employees....they are genuine.
Location, location, location.. so close to Haymarket and other nice restaurants. Great service and the staff are really friendly. The room was surprisingly clean and modern. Our family really enjoy our Holiday..
Fabulous little reasonably priced hotel located close to Paddy’s Markets and surrounded by lots of places to eat.
The lovely young lady who checked us in could not have been more helpful, even assisting with opal cards. Great coffee the next morning after a comfortable night’s sleep. Would definitely stay here again.
Very well located, just a couple minutes walk from the lightrail and less than 10 minutes from Central Train Station. Lots of food options in the surrounding area too. The hotel itself was small but clean and well taken care of, and the rooms were well sized with a nice, spacious bathroom.
This is exactly what a mid-range hotel in Sydney should be like. Rooms are basic but well designed with a few small, thoughtful touches that make the space more welcoming and cosy including a comfortable bed. The rooms aren't super quiet given the location of the hotel and seemingly thin walls, but it's not rowdy or noisy at night. The staff are friendly and helpful and the location of The Ultimo is...

Location, location, location. Everything close at hand. The hotel was beautiful. Staff very helpful.
We recently had a nine night stay using only Bon Voyage points. Soon after arrival we knew we made the right choice. We arrived at 9 am after a red eye flight. Although a room was not available, we were given keys to an early arrival suite. We were able to take showers and change clothes, then stored our luggage at reception.
The room was great, with a view of the Opera House and harbor. The Executive...
The hotel itself isn’t the best. The location is absolutely great and in a fantastic spot. Also, the lounge and breakfast area was very welcoming. The elevators are EXTREMELY slow. I had to wait around 10 minutes for one to arrive which is also a big safety hazard. The breakfast buffet was rather miserable. I asked three times for a cappuccino until finally it arrived. The waiters weren’t professional...
This hotel and its staff was impeccable! Daniel at the front desk was incredibly friendly and had a wealth of knowledge to share about where to visit and what to see. Daniel was a great first impression - Marriott is lucky to have him. The executive lounge was also impressive - a very large spread for breakfast and dinner. I highly recommend.
Rooms and the hotel structure are all aged and a bit tired. A bed with peaks and valleys may not comfort you enough to sleep through the night. You will experience slow lifts that randomly reset themselves refusing to take you to your floor. Also, calling a lift takes forever. The hotel management should open the staircases for everyone. It would be quicker to walk down 15 floors than wait for an overloaded...
From arrival to departure I felt all staff where attentive and extremely helpful when the need arose to make enquires. Room was very comfortable and beds where extremely comfortable, location was great and made travelling around city very easy

My welcome was warm and personal as usual. My room was on the 19th floor with amazing views of Darling Harbour. The hotel is very close and within walking distance to many restaurants and the Sydney Conference Centre. I enjoyed a few drinks in the reasonably priced lobby bar with complementary nuts, its a good meeting spot. My room was well appointed with an exceptional bath room and a bed fit for...
What an amazing hotel. Well located and views to die for. The new bar on level 35 delivers some of the best views in Sydney.
Its a bit further to walk to the city but this is outweighed by the fact the hotel is amazing.
Go to the champagne bar for a pre dinner drink then the restaurant for dinner.
We decided to go to Sofitel for a little getaway with our 3 year old daughter. What an amazing experience it was. The view was phenomenal, I even woke for the sunrise view. The food was delicious! There was a big variety of food at the breakfast buffet. The pool view was spectacular. The hotel was child friendly and the staff were so friendly and professional. I would definitely stay here again!
We have stayed at this hotel several times. Amazing location with great views (either harbour or Anzac bridge views). The hotel is modern, clean and well-maintained, and has friendly staff. We stayed on the Easter weekend and were treated to an amazing fireworks show at Darling Harbour. We went up to the swimming pool on level 4, a great location to view the fireworks show. Always a pleasure to stay...
Another amazing visit to Sofitel Darling Harbour. The views from this hotel are mind-blowing. The executive lounge is magnificent. Thank you, Yen, for your smiling face. Rydges Sydney Harbour is located within a few minutes from Sydney Harbour with a view of the Harbour Bridge from the front doors entrance. Stayed here for cruise. You are a half block from the cruise port, can see it from roof of hotel.
We had 3, wife, daughter, and I. The room was smaller, but very adequate! We purchased a King Deluxe with Harbour View....worth every penny! On floor 5 we could see the Opera House and even watched our ship, Carnival Splendor come into port.
They had made pull out bed up for daughter and she slept well...
I gotta say, staying here was an absolute delight! The team really went above and beyond to take care of me. Seriously, nothing was too much trouble for them. They not only made my stay super enjoyable, but they also created an experience that's gonna make me come back real soon. The room had everything you could ask for, especially if you're on a business trip. Trust me, I'll be back and I highly...
The rooms were 3 star at best. Neat and clean. I would expect a few usb ports but there were none. The shower had no pressure at all and I couldn't rinse the shampoo out of my hair properly. It feels like an Ibis Hotel with toiletries. The TV is pretty small and I had to put glasses on to see the TV properly (but I don't need glasses to drive). For the money we paid, even if it was half price...
The location was perfect for our family (2a 2c) as we were boarding a cruise the next day! We took advantage of the rooftop pool and spa before embarkment day. The staff greeting us at check-in were fantastic and explained the dining and bar options to us, and kindly held our luggage once we checked out. We will book this hotel again when we're in Sydney and want to stay at The Rocks.

Generous gesture of treats to the room from the concierge after our long journey. Instantly lifted our mood!
The place was clean, staff super friendly, great location, great room! Brittney/Nicole went above and beyond, as did the other staff. Best stay in Sydney!
Absolutely LOVED staying at Establishment Hotel 😍🙌🏻💯 The room was amazing - HUGE, so well proportioned & comfortable with everything at your fingertips 🤗 DELICIOUS room service, with catering from the UNREAL Mr Wong restaurant 😋 Truly OUTSTANDING service from ALL staff, but especially have to mention the concierge as they were absolutely HEAVEN 🤩🙏🏻 Will DEFINITELY be back, thank you so much 💛
I'm honestly really surprised by some of the reviews saying this hotel was 'dirty'. We just finished a 2 night stay and were delighted with the room and service! The rooms are cozy and large with beautiful bathroom ammenities. The staff were attentive and friendly and the breakfast (which was included with our room) was delicious! Would absolutely recommend and will be staying again!
In terms of location, you can't beat the Establishment Hotel in Sydney's Central Business District. The design style is sleek/modern.
It is the most convenient in terms of proximity to all public transit (trains, buses, and ferries).
For a five star hotel, however, I expected a slightly more new feel to the rooms. The carpet was clearly a bit worn. The hotel itself would be perfect for a young professional...

Great location and that's all we liked. For $380 a night the room was small, closed 2 meters by 1.5 meters window over looking harbor. We had to ask for extra coffee, milk and sugar. No expresso coffee by the way. Even after asking we didn't get extra milk. Had to leave a note to fill up the body wash and shampoo.
Great views of the harbor. The rooms are a little on a smaller size but reasonable. The room was clean and well maintained. This was probably the best hotel stay I've had in my life. The staff were extremely accommodating and even went the distance to become "tour guides" for us, giving us GREAT ideas for walking/ seeing the city. On top of that, their breakfast spread was second to none, with the LARGEST assortment of options I have EVER seen for a hotel. If you have the option, make sure breakfast is included, you won...
UPDATE: Three staff members came and tended to the previous mentioned issues. They were all extremely kind and even hand brushed scrubbed the tile in the shower. We deeply appreciate the willingness of the Hyatt to rectify the situation and help our final night be a clean and peaceful one.

Revised review 2: I have to compliment the management and staff at the Hyatt Regency Sydney for listening to their customers feedback. Sincere efforts to make changes and an immediate difference in service is rare these days. I will be sad to leave when I head to the Melbourne Hyatt for the next leg of my journey. Rooms are nice and clean and the location is convenient. Plenty to do and see within walking distance. Only about a 5 minute walk to Darling Harbour.

Only downfall is that there's no pool, but not a major issue :)

Very close to central station, China Town, Haymarket and the Capital Theatre. Staff were lovely and the meal we ate in the restaurant downstairs was good. A few coffee places and other eateries in walking distance as well.
Blockout blinds were great and no street noise.
A nice hotel in a good location close to the train station and cafes/ restaurants. Rooms are spacious however not much view outside as there are other buildings close to it. Good buffet breakfast. Also has a bar with good variety of drinks. Gym, sauna and swimming pool on the roof top. Staff were friendly.
The staff are very pleasant and obliging. Happy to help with any difficulty of request. King bed very comfortable and breakfast buffet very nice and caters for various cultures. Enjoyed our fourth stay in 15 months.

Great location and staff. Queen bed isn’t suitable for two big people and there is not other bed option for a balcony room. The bed is also quite uncomfortable and does not come with additional pillows in the closet. Is good value when booking in...

Nice hotel in an excellent position just by The Rocks area of Sydney where there are lots of bars and restaurants. Easy access to all of the main sights.
The rooms are large for a city hotel and very comfortable. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We had room only so didn’t experience the restaurant. Would recommend this hotel.
Stayed for the location, but it’s so much better than just that with a wonderful view from the restaurant (and the room), staff, fitness center, and room.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was absolutely stunning and we had the most amazing view.
We had cocktails at the top floor bar which were delicious and had the most amazing view of the harbour and city.
The only suggestion for improvements is the decor of the bar could do to be updated slightly.
I highly recommend a visit for both visitors or someone looking for a nice staycation.

After a break of many years, we recently returned and had a great stay. The hotel has been tastefully refurbished but still has an old world charm.
Checked out the rooftop bar on level 32 which was fantastic. Great views.
The room was well appointed and comfortable. The main draw is the location of the property - almost right on Circular Quay and a short walk to the Opera House and The Rocks....
You pay for what you get. In this instance, the cost reflects quality and the expectations of a 5 star hotel. Beautiful rooms and charming foyer/reception area. Cannot remember what it was like prior to renovations but either way, this hotel chain has always been one of exceptional customer service and overall client experience.
I've noticed people complaining about the views - seriously? Walk 5 minutes...
It’s somehow sad to leave this fantastic hotel. I suppose we came right time after the renovation. We started at level 28 and we loved the view. The breakfast was presented as one of the best levels we had seen before even though the service and the menu can be improved but we liked the experience in total. The roof bar is a must and the location was the best we could imagine. We will be back 😉
I love love this hotel! I have stayed there for 3 nights and it gave me homey vibes! The renovated rooms are fantastic and the shampoo/body lotions smells AMAZING! The location is the best part as it’s only a couple of minutes walk to the opera house! The view and service is impeccable! I cannot wait to stay at the intercontinental again!
This is a lovely hotel, where we have stayed several times. It's normally quiet, well appointed, and has nice extras like a pool on the 31st floor with a spectacular view over the harbour. No windows in the room so was a bit stuffy. Sign in desk were not very helpful or friendly however desk where we put our luggage to store for the day were lovely. Bit disappointing overall for an up market and expensive hotel.
While the Sofitel Sydney Wentworth might not boast the most updated facilities, it delivers a classic charm that can't be found in modern establishments. Despite its vintage architecture, the accommodations were comfortable and well-maintained.

Location is perfect, a minute's walk from Wynyard St and across the road from a Starbucks. A short walk to the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Harbour. Really nice location.
Room was clean and spacious too.
Buffet breakfast was delicious.
Staff is very efficient and attentive. However, aside from the fact that the rooms are in bad need of renovating, cleanliness is lacking, attention to detail is just non existent. There was hair in the bathroom upon my arrival, all handles were dirty, air vents very dusty, cushions on armchairs dirty and the floor not vacuumed properly....just not good enough for a 5 ☆ hotel.
Beautiful room, very clean & tidy. Lovely bathroom. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the views, and it was so close to everything! Right near the light rail, buses, & Wynyard station. Lots within walking distance. We'd definitely choose to stay again.
Very good sized larger than usual hotel rooms.
Bedding very comfortable, accommodation was a little rundown outdated furniture pieces, carpets definitely needs a changing or vacuuming all corners and under bedding frame, u can see layers of dust piling up on the non trafficked areas. Bathroom airy and bright with a fantastic view towards Barangaroo Crown tower.

A great, quiet location considering its next to the highway. Stayed for 6 nights. Staff were very polite, friendly, available and super helpful. The SURE cafe has delicious food, especially the 3 cheeses ravioli, loved it. Room was basic, clean and quiet. Bed was ok, not my type. Overall, definately stay again.

It was brilliant. We were going to RNSH so the location was great. Sydney, 340 Princes Highway 🧭 Map
Excellent steaks and bar !
Great beers selection !
Great place to see sports !
Outdoors and indoors seating.
Smoking and non smoking areas available.
Just a great corner pub in Sydney. The meals were excellent, and I will definitely return. The interior of the pub is renovated and very modern and clean. The staff were very friendly and the prices were very reasonable. I will definitely be back.
Came here in a pinch, as we were starving and have driven past a few times.
The interior was surprisingly large and recently updated.
Large off street parking is a plus.
The tacos and nachos were good. The burger was a bit overcooked and dry.
Kids eat free on some days so there were quite a lot of families there.
The crumbed chicken breast is pretty yummy.
Nice food... The crowd can be rowdy but it's a homely place at the same time!
The beef ribs and the fish burger are the best. You must try them

Fabulous location near Central Station, theatres, tram, eateries, shops, Paddy's Markets, Food Court, China Town and pedestrian entry to Darling Harbour (opposite UTS building). The Great Southern is a refurbished heritage building with a great bar, restaurant and competitive prices. We booked a non-serviced unit directly with hotel and elected to replenish our tea, coffee, etc with helpful reception...
What a brill place to stay at. Nice rooms, friendly staff. Food good. Pub area good. Prices reasonable. Historic design. More than happy to give 4 stars.
Great location only minutes from Central station and light rail across the road. Rooms are compact but clean and functional. The $15 breakfast is well worth trying and the adjacent bar serves good food and drinks at pub prices. Staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. This is my second stay and will be my regular base when travelling through Sydney.
My room was unserviced which was fine as I was only there for 3 nights. The room was basic but it did the job well. Location is great and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast for $15 on my final morning was pretty good too. The only downside was there were some drain flies in the shower but other than that the stay was quite good.
Closeness to Roma St Station
Staff always friendly and helpful
Monday special was burger and chips with a beer. Tried it out and was absolutely blown away. Patty was thick and mind you its double patty. Juicy and moist.Chips done fresh. All hymns and praises. Well done. One of the best burgers from a pub.
Excellent location right off the light rail and bus lines. It’s a perfect location and quality of hotel. The beds were wonderful and firm. We loved our room and nice bathroom. The whole hotel was immaculate and the staff helpful. The entire staff from the maids to the registration staff were so helpful and friendly.
Location excellent an easy 5 minute walk from central train station and really close to paddys market and China town and also on the tram line right outside the hotel.

CKS Sydney Airport Hotel
Sydney, 35 Levey Street, Wolli Creek 🧭 Map
Nice and friendly staff. My flight was delayed by 3 hours but I had no issues checking in. I had complimentary shuttle included in my stay which I was not aware of so I had paid for it. The staff refunded the amount upon my check in.
I stayed for only 1 night but I will recommend it if you need a place to stay near the airport.
Reception staff both night and morning friendly and very professional. Room was clean and maintained. Bed and pillows comfortable. Breakfast was okay, scrabble eggs a little dry but everything else was good.
Thank you
every service here has an additional cost. You take the shuttle to/from airport - you'd think it's free for this stature of a hotel, but it's not ! AU$13 each way ! Room service ? add AU$5 each time. And they don't mention it upfront. It's the "least expensive" among the ones close to the airport - but definitely not a value for money.
Good things: staff is super nice and friendly. Rooms are standard...
While the hotel is a little old and obviously suffered a bit from the torrential rain here lately, the staff make up for any shortcomings. When I rang to find out which transport to use to get there from the airport (and that's never easy to figure at Syd) the person at reception gave simple accurate instructions. I had dinner here and the food was delicious and good portioned at a good price, and...
I was very pleased with this hotel. The front desk and other staff were all very friendly. The room was quite spacious and comfortable, looked so inviting. Shuttle service to and from the airport is available. Restaurant on site. Very near airport. I definitely got my money's worth and would highly recommend this hotel.
The staff here are extremely helpful and efficient. They noticed that we had quite a bit of luggage, so they upgraded our room to the ground floor free of charge (no elevator). The room was a nice size and very clean. There's also free wifi. The hotel is close to the airport, with hotel shuttle bookings available during your check-in for $7 per person that covers two suitcases and a carry-on for each...
