This hotel and its staff was impeccable! Daniel at the front desk was incredibly friendly and had a wealth of knowledge to share about where to visit and what to see. Daniel was a great first impression - Marriott is lucky to have him. The executive lounge was also impressive - a very large spread for breakfast and dinner. I highly recommend.

Rooms and the hotel structure are all aged and a bit tired. A bed with peaks and valleys may not comfort you enough to sleep through the night. You will experience slow lifts that randomly reset themselves refusing to take you to your floor. Also, calling a lift takes forever. The hotel management should open the staircases for everyone. What an amazing hotel. Well located and views to die for. The new bar on level 35 delivers some of the best views in Sydney. Its a bit further to walk to the city but this is outweighed by the fact the hotel is amazing. Go to the champagne bar for a pre dinner drink then the restaurant for dinner.

We decided to go to Sofitel for a little getaway with our 3 year old daughter. What an amazing experience it was. The view was phenomenal, I even woke for the sunrise view. The food was delicious! Great location and that's all we liked. For $380 a night the room was small, closed 2 meters by 1.5 meters window over looking harbor. We had to ask for extra coffee, milk and sugar. No expresso coffee by the way. Even after asking we didn't get extra milk. Had to leave a note to fill up the body wash and shampoo.

Rooms are nice and clean and the location is convenient. Plenty to do and see within walking distance. Only about a 5 minute walk to Darling Harbour. Service is great and quick. There's also a beautiful bar on the rooftop with a 180 view of the harbour so that's worth seeing (free entry). Only downfall is that there's no pool, but not a major issue :)

Nice hotel in an excellent position just by The Rocks area of Sydney where there are lots of bars and restaurants. Easy access to all of the main sights. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was absolutely stunning and we had the most amazing view. We had cocktails at the top floor bar which were delicious and had the most amazing view of the harbour and city. The only suggestion for improvements is the decor of the bar could do to be updated slightly. I highly recommend a visit for both visitors or someone looking for a nice staycation.

Staff is very efficient and attentive. However, aside from the fact that the rooms are in bad need of renovating, cleanliness is lacking, attention to detail is just non existent. Recently booked into this hotel. It has a great central location and I have stayed here several times. Unfortunately, on the last occasion there was very noisy building work being done to the spa area. It would have been nice to know this when checking in as I usually enjoy relaxing in the spa but couldn't due to the noise.

Had a 5 day stay, the location is excellent, the room large, I was so happy when I saw there was a bath, wasn’t expecting that OR the view of the Bridge and Opera House. When I have international suppliers staying I accommodate them here. Easy walking to everything for all tastes. It’s also near great food hubs. Best of all easy to collect them from the hotel. Don’t arrive after 10pm. They lock the doors and annoying to find someone to open up.

5 Stars for location and convenience - stayed 2 nights over Christmas for Boxing Day shopping and being able to take purchases back to hotel was priceless! A group of 6 had 3 rooms - great for the price. All were basic, clean and comfy. Staff were helpful.

Good location and the staff at check-in were pleasant. The bed was comfortable and I didn't hear any noise from outside. However, the room and bathroom are very old and in need of an upgrade. The room wasn't as clean as I would have liked and the cups in the cupboard weren't clean at all.

Straight after we checked in and went out for the night we came back to a bucket of ice in our room and slippers next to the bed and the water pulled forward next to the bed and our pillows set up nicely. We enjoyed staying at Rydges Parramatta. We have stayed here several times when we are going to see concerts at Olympic Park or visit family in the area. They treat all their customers fairly and respectfully and go above and beyond for their regulars. They recently upgraded us to their penthouse suite for our anniversary. From the minute we arrived we were treated like VIPS, the rooms were spacious, the bathrooms were marble and very nice. The pool and spa were great to kill time between outings. The buffet breakfast is a must- they had absouelty everything. Thank you for 5 star service with a smile.

This place is just what we needed. Beautifully appointed rooms. Extremely comfortable bed and in a very Central location for Darling Harbour, Circular Quay, botanic gardens and pubs and restaurants. Central City location means no harbour views but that means nothing compared to the rest of the package. Would highly recommend to anyone

Stayed as a family of 6. What an incredible stay! From the moment we walked in we were greeted by the friendliest concierge who helped us with our pram, took our bags and directed us to the reception. We arrived around 9:30am with the intention of dropping our bag but our room was ready so they let us check in. Beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was beautiful, probably one of the nicest hotels...

I've stayed here twice in the last month and each time has been a really pleasant experience. You can't beat the location for convenience with Vivid activities. Bentley is amazing. Rooms are comfy, quiet and thoughtfully appointed. Staff all really professional and helpful. The breaky buffet was great and again genuinely kind and helpful staff. Def looking forward to another stay here.

I can only talk about the pool, spa and steam room which I had a chance to use. The pool was great - large enough and heated. The spa was smaller but a good level of heat. Pity about the steam room though which had a strong urine stench so could not be used. Change rooms are well equipped.

Did not stay at the hotel but I did however have a great meal in the dining room. Service Was great . Food was very tasty and well presented. Dessert was exceptional. Price is a little on the high side but you are at one of the most beautiful establishments with a 5 star view of Sydney!

Everything about this hotel was five star. Staff. Rooms. Location has got to be the best in Sydney. Walking distance to so many things. Easy walk to the train. Harbour. Opera house. Would definitely stay here again.

Despite this being a 5 star hotel is really shouldn't be. Having the roof top pool closed for maintenance throughout the day is wrong. (The area is closed from 9pm to 7am why couldn't they have done that then) After letting the concierge aware of it they promised to wipe all extra charges to then find out they only removed a small portion of charges (All the cheap stuff). The best in Sydney, the best in Australia. One of our best stays anywhere in the world. The location is a dream. It's like being on a cruise ship, looking into the water. The staff worked tirelessly to make sure every little detail about our stay is perfect. We had dinner and breakfast several times at the hotel. 5 star!!

This is the most luxuries of the big hotels in Sydney. There is a lot of attention paid to details both in the experience, service and rooms. The views of course are spectacular and the fact that it's not a high rise makes guests feel connected to the surroundings.
