Where to stay in Dobrinishte

The staff was very nice and friendly. The hotel is very close to the railway station and the location is excellent if you come by train. The room was clean. The breakfast was delicious. We recommend it for families and for relaxing vacation.

Eating at this place for 15 years now. Same quality and only the atmosphere is just getting better and better. Lovely garden and a wide range of traditional Bulgarian dishes in the menu. No place in the region can compete to such quality and service!

International standart in traditional style but a bit of a noisy, especialy if there's a happening down at the restaurant's garden. The menu is rich, the food is not great, but fair although the service is quite good.

It’s not what it used to be few years ago. Prices have gone significantly up, the level of service have reduced. Food is mediocre, there are cracks on the walls, wallpapers are torn, carpets with stains.

It's a nice, calm, and clean hotel with comfortable beds and a tasty breakfast. Rooms are huge, and u will find all u need. Stuff is very friendly and always helps if you need anything. The hotel is situated very close to Bansko, so if u want, u can take a taxi and go there.

A cheap and easy hotel in Bansko. No thrills and breakfast is suspect but you can’t really complain given our room was less than a tenner each per person. You can walk to the ski lift but they provide a free shuttle too.

A 3-star hotel which time turned it into a 2- one. Basic rooms, poor bathroom with leaking problems, overall out-of-date. But, very nice and helpful staff!

We stayed for three nights (two adults, two kids) and were generally happy. Spa was a bit small and the water in the pool could have been a bit warmer, but other than that staff were kind, responded quickly to all our requests while the room was clean and warm (hot even, I had to turn down the heating).

Appartements are very nice, except for the bathrooms. Heater in the bath is rather scary. 2 aircos, in the living room and bedroom. Spa and gym are not great. Limited breakfast buffet. Cannot keep the windows open at night due to noise.

Great plac3 ( **** )deserved. Just bulgarian food is not that good. Rooms are great. Wi-fi is working in the rooms but if not, you can ask them to reset the routers and youll be fine. Its far from ski center but you have bus at morning on every hour or less from the hotel.

Nice hotel with average cusine. If it's booked via those sites which offered high discounts, pay attention. Interior is quite old, it has jacuzzi in the pool itself and it's significantly small. The food was average. There were not many things to select. Outside areas of the restaurant are quite insufficient. Definitely it needs renovations.

Our family stayed there for a week. We had booked an apartment with a king bed and a pullout sofa. The pullout sofa was super crooked and uncomfortable and made a terrible noise at the slightest body movement, my baby girl kept waking up every time I sat down or moved in bed. I want to thank coach Max, as for me he is the best coach I have seen there. He taught my brother and sister (she is 3 years old) to ski in one training session. It was also quite fun to ski with him and jump on ski jumps. I recommend him to everyone!!!

Staff is very nice! Good location. It seems that they put effort to renovate the hotel, so we really tried to sympathise with them. The thing I find annoying is that they promote spa, when 1/3 of it is not really usable. For the other 1/3, it seems as if they don’t want to set it up, if the hotel is not busy with guests.

This is a picture from the pool in Chateau Vaptzarov. The place also has a gym and spa. The food is also good, especially the breakfast where you have a lot of different kinds of food at your disposal. The rooms have LCD TV's with cable and also Wi-Fi. The employees are okay, but not the most kind employees you can find.

Very good hotel. The stuff is amazing. They have a driver that took us every morning to the gondola and back to the hotel after the ski. There ara two saunas and hot swimming pool.

The apartment was great - cozy, spacious, equipped with everything a person could need and most of all terribly clean! The view from the terrace is more than unique - majestic Pirin rises in front of you. The location is great - a quiet place near the center, 10 minutes walk. I strongly recommend !

complaints: we are a married couple and got twin beds which kept separating in the middle. The food at dinner 1 night was cold. There was no room cleaning 1 day. Went for a curry with a group of 14, which was easily accommodated. The buffet had 8 different curries, with ample veggie / vegan options. Everything - the poppadoms, the naan, the curries, the staff - was tremendous. James is a terrific host, and I highly recommend to everyone.

If you ask the average Bulgarian what curry is they probably won't be able to answer this to you - the reason is that Indian cuisine is not very wide spread or popular in Bulgaria at all. But if every Bulgarian had the chance to try the curry at Avalon, I'm sure the popularity of the dish will undoubtedly increase! James makes some of the best curry I've ever had, and luckily for me with a good selection...

indeed a family hotel with nice hospitality, a warm atmosphere and a hot sauna. The friendly staff supplied us with all the information we needed and let us check-out late. Room was basic but had everything you need if for a comfortable sleep and shower. breakfast was also basic but satisfying. We booked in under a deal so we don't know the exact prices but from what i see it's definitely cost-effective

Great family hotel, absolutely worth it for the value. The cocktails are the specialty of the owner and they have a lovely cosy garden in the summer when someone can enjoy them. Also pool and fitness is available. The room that we were was quite spacious and recently renovated.

Service was ok when we arrived but that changed almost immediately, and that is because we have asked the owner for a partial refund since our room had a horrible smell (toilet and mold all combined in one) transforming him into ironic and aggressive.
