Reviews
The rooms are spacious and clean. The terrace was a good size to chill on.
As a suggestion, I would love it if next time housekeeping can offer us memory foam pillows by request and some bath salts for the bathtub.
Thank you and we will definitely come back!
Definitely not at the level of a five star hotel which is felt from the moment you enter and you see the fake plants and flowers in white, green and violet in the lobby or the dusty and messy so-called parking across the street. The design of the rooms is nice but the furniture looks cheap. The extendable sofa in the family appartment is supposed to sleep 2 children up to 11 years old but in reality is too small. The pillows are extremely hard and uncomfortable. Not being able to leave before they clear you for mini bar is ridiculous in this day and age and given the room prices they charge. One good point: the pool area is really nice.
Overall we would not recommend this hotel.
The hotel feels like a European 4-star (or 5 Bulgarian stars).
- **Pros:** Great location, good breakfast, kids' room, swimming pool, free parking (though the receptionist needs to remember to open the gates when guests leave).
- **Cons:** Slow internet (room 123), no USB ports, no basic room accessories like a pen or notepad, and bathroom lighting has no night mode. Relax zone's massage seats were also out of order.
Lastly, they don’t trust you with the minibar—someone rushes to check your room after checkout.
The room was spacious and clean, but until the pillows are replaced, this review stays as is!
I had high hopes for my stay at Siena Retreat, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a complete disappointment. The hotel feels more like a tourist trap than a relaxing retreat. The pool is tiny, freezing cold, and downright dirty — hardly inviting for a swim.
The worst part was the management, which was incredibly rude and dismissive whenever I addressed my concerns. Instead of trying to help, they just brushed me off and made me feel unwelcome. To make matters worse, the wellness center was completely non-functional during the day, leaving me to wonder why it was even advertised as part of the experience.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place. It’s not worth the money or the frustration. There are much better options elsewhere for a genuine and relaxing getaway.
We requested if the music of the (completely empty) outside bar could be turned a bit down at 22h45. This wasn’t possible until the closing of the bar. An alarm went off at 6:30, and after finding the alarm myself (next to the reception), the receptionist finally turned it off, without saying anything.
I don’t see it as the fault of the personnel. They simply lack the skills and training to work in hospitality. But I would not recommend this place to anyone, despite of the nice and spacious rooms.
From the moment we arrived, the staff members welcomed us with smiling faces and warmth. The rooms were extremely clean, furnished stylishly and equipped with all amenities necessary to make our stay very comfortable. The beds were comfortable while the view of the sea from our balcony was stunning.
The hotel has an excellent restaurant which served a rich and diverse breakfast buffet. We relished fresh local products as well as beautifully cooked meals. Additionally, dinner was extremely tasty including both traditional and international dishes.
One of the hotel’s major advantages is its location – just few minutes’ walk from the beach. Lozenets beach is famous for its fine sand and clean water, making it ideal for relaxation and entertainment.
Finally, there are other facilities available at the hotel such as a pool, spa center, gym that make staying here even more interesting. They had always responded promptly to questions about sightseeing or tourist destinations.
To anyone who would like some peace and quiet
We had a lovely room with terrace directly access into the wonderful pool, in which you can swim for 65m non-stop (longer than Olympic pool!). Pool is also shady from mid-afternoon.
The spa area at -1, with sauna, jacuzzi, steam room and gym is top class.
Breakfast was way beyond expectation and staff super friendly.
Pool bar was very special, though cocktails are a bit hit-and-miss depending who is making them.
Only downside is the town doesn’t have much to offer compared to say Sozopol. But really no different to any other town on this part of the remote southern Bulgarian coast.
All in all outstanding value for money.
