Sandman Hotel Calgary Airport

Ok my experience with Sandman was lovely. Kind and polite staff. Front desk people were helpful and cheerful! I had some issues with getting breakfast one morning and they were quick to help with that! Rooms in the sandman side are definitely older but still cozy and functional. Coffee in the mornings was great! The complimentary wifi and shuttle service to the airport were both great as well. Thoroughly satisfied with my stay here.

NA -- Not sure what member offers are available. I don't believe I was offered any when I called the hotel directly to book my stays -- Stayed at the beginning/end if my vacation %26 left vehicle at hotel. Greatly appreciate the reasonable rate to allow me to do this. Huge perk. I will suggest the hotel to friends for this reason. Because of vrhicle parking I don't think I received a member rate. Staff friendly and helpful.

Conveniently located by the airport and multiple restaurants. The pool and hot tub are fantastic size for just tiring out little ones before bed. The rooms were clean and comfy and the maintaince man was great too we had him replace a light bulb for us. The front desk staff is extremely kind and patient.

We really enjoyed our stay for 3 nights while attending a family wedding. The bed was super comfortable, and there was ample seating and lighting. The fridge, microwave and coffee maker were nice touches. There was one night missing in our reservation, however the check in clerk resolved that, albeit at the new rate. Scary that it was confirmed in my RSVP account, and never showed up in their system. I also found it strange that the reception clerk used the guest’s first name while they checked in ahead of me, and then did the same with me. I actually use my middle name, so it was peculiar.
It looks like they’re in the process of renovations, so hopefully the lamps on the night tables will have USB or AC outlets soon. We found enough on the desk to recharge.
Pillows were comfortable standard size. Extra blanket and pillow in the closet.
Towels were fluffy and soft, and plenty supplied. Room attendant very happily provided extra coffee pouches and toilet paper. The ironing board cover transferred some dye from a previous guest’s garment, but a new one was provided expeditiously.
We were picked up promptly at the airport after calling, and our shuttle to depart was only behind schedule by about 10 minutes. At first I was surprised that the shuttle was only about every hour, but the caring friendliness of the gentleman who drove us made up for that.
Overall, this hotel is excellent value, and the location is excellent.
We dined at Chop across the parking lot from the lobby, and were surprised at how many vegetarian choices a steak house in Alberta offered. We also enjoyed lunch at Moxie’s which is attached to the building.
Overall, the friendliness of the staff and the warm welcome were our favourite features during our stay. We did check out the pool which looked adequate, and well stocked with towels.
It seemed that none of the ice machines in the old building were functioning, however, there was one on the ground floor in the Signature building. Perhaps they are part of the current renovation as well.
I look forward to staying here again when visiting Calgary.

The staff are friendly, the room are small but have everything you need. I only used the hotel for a one night layover. The shuttle service was super handy and convenient. The room we had was clean and had all the amenities I was looking for, would definitely stay here again, thank you.

Rooms definitely need to be updated. Nice hot tub and pool! Staff at the front desk were very nice :) Moxie is attached to the hotel meaning you dont have to go out to eat :) they also offer room delivery for extra charge
