Holiday Inn Express & Suites - West Edmonton-Mall Area, an IHG Hotel

I had such a great experience at this hotel. Immediately when walking into our room- it smelt fresh and clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, even the pillows smelled clean. The only thing was that on our floor, there were teenagers who were (I assume), walking between each other’s rooms, and I could hear constant doors slamming until about 11:30pm. The walls and doors aren’t very sound proof. Other than that, it was a very comfortable stay. I would definitely stay here again.

Very nice and clean. Friendly staff. Check and check out very convenient. They could perhaps get smart tvs in the rooms. Sucks when you can’t rent movies or watch Netflix. Also rooms are not very sound proof. Could hear the jet tub above us running off and on at midnight.

After having stayed at this property and having beyond excellent service, my son and I returned to stay here again from
May 24th - June 2nd. This stay was no exception. When walked through the doors and the very clean lobby, we were warmly greeted with hello and smiles from the two guest service representatives. We felt like we were home. If you are in the West Edmonton area and you are looking for a comfortable, clean and welcoming place to lay your head look no further. We look very forward to staying at this property again in the future. Management truly cares about each guest experience.

Stayed in a queen suite with my two children. Had originally booked a king with a sofa bed but was offered an upgrade a few days before arrival. The room was clean, the pool was great, and the breakfast offered lots of options. The breakfast staff was very helpful in answering questions about item ingredients due to allergies. My only complaint is that the bathroom soap dispensers are mounted very high up and my children couldn’t reach them without assistance which was quite annoying, especially for middle of the night bathroom breaks 😂

My billing issue was completely sorted out and my complaint for the rude service was taken by the general manager. So happy that this was taken care of. A simple fix that could be easily explained. Glad it was resolved. Room was nice. Spacious for 5 of us in a room. Breakfast was decent. Would recommend having options for eggs without cheese as some of us had an allergy to cheese and couldn’t eat the eggs but other than that there was tons of options for breakfast.

We loved this hotel and will def be staying again! Close to WEM. The pool and gym were great for entertaining the family! Coin laundry for dirty babies was a bonus! The complimentary breakfast put a huge cut on our food bill while travelling.
The only downside was the hotel is on a one way street which caused longer return routes, but other then that it was pretty close to what we needed.

What a great hotel! Very clean with super friendly staff. Also conveniently located with underground parking (so helpful at -20 degrees!). Breakfast was included and pretty yummy. I really loved the layout of the room - well thought out.

The hotel stay was good, however the parking lot left much to be desired. They offer underground parking but don't encourage it for smaller cars. I was driving quite a large vehicle and couldn't fit underground. The parking lot is barely wide enough to drive two cars down with the amount of trucks that are parked there. We asked for additional keys at the front desk. We were told they normally only give out two keys per room and asked many questions about why we need more keys. Breakfast was good. Hotel staff was friendly when asked questions. Not sure that I would ever stay here again simply based on the parking situation. Even the spots were very small. It was very close to the West Edmonton mall which made it easy to get there. It's about a 5-minute drive there but about a 10 minute drive back as it is located on a one-way street. Getting out of the parking lot was not always the easiest as well as it is a four-lane one-way street and could be very busy and was hard to get into the correct lane for where you were trying to go.
