Excellent place to stay with family. We came for a weekend. Rates were the best around. Rooms were very quite nice looking. It looks like they just renovated this place.
Good price for the area, close to the Congress center. Staff could have been friendlier but all in all you get what you pay for.
I've stayed in many Comfort Inn hotels. This was one of the nicest properties. It looks like they just renovated thier hotel. Everything in the room felt brand new. I would certainly recommend this Comfort Inn.

Good place, but they shall upgrade. No smart TV,
Hotel after renovation. Delicious Belgian waffles.
The common area is rather small, so it can get a bit crowded when you eat breakfast.
Deceptively good hotel A breakfast where you had acambled eggs and beans. Room was modern classy and really clean. Staff were fanstastic, rooms were brilliant, much bstter than the other hotels outside of downtown.
Clean and comfortable. It suited our purposes as we had a rent a car and parking was simple. Short drive to shopping and restaurants.
The room staff is very nice and it is very convenient if you have a car

My stay there was very good. They treated me and my family very well front desk and hotel cleaners and that are very well mannered. The pool was nice the song it was nice. The only thing is the Jacuzzi wasn’t working but I understand things happen but overall, it was an amazing stay.
Great and clean hotel, the staff is welcoming and very responsive; I couldn't adjust the temperature in the room I called them and 5 minutes later the receptionist came. The room is clean and spacious. I would definitely recommend. And the breakfast service is well provided
Only stayed one night, and reason why I deducted one star is because we needed the pull out couch and it was very uncomfortable to sleep on. A nice foam topper would have made a huge difference. Also hot tub wasn't on, that would have been nice. Pool was great, nice and warm but the room was a bit too chilly. Room was nice and clean, service was good. Would stay again.
Pretty much what you should expect for 3 stars right next to the highway. Good value, but pretty beat up and a little dirty. Rooms clean, but dusty and banged up elsewhere. Pool was partly out of service when we were there. Breakfast was free and great variety. Friendly staff. We would stay here again.
This is a nice hotel. Quiet, clean and has all the amenities that you would need. Staff were fantastic too.
A very good hotel with a great room. The breakfast area was under reno but the room set aside to serve breakfast was a very nice layout and served us well. The location was convenient and close to the 401 yet quiet. The internet worked great. Staff were very welcoming and always had a pleasant "hello". The rate was a good deal for a hotel with this level of service with parking and breakfast included

An absolutely lovely and unique hotel: spacious rooms, excellent restaurant, delish included breakfast, etc. Plus, the day we arrived, we were invited to a cocktail hour hosted by the manager. What a gracious gentleman. The hotel is lucky to have brought him on board as we learned he arrived just a few months ago. Also, the server at the cocktail was a joy to converse with.
We didn't stay at this hotel, we actually came for High Tea and the experience could've been a lot better. It started with the hostess where she seated us a table that was already being occupied by another group. The server was very pushy about ordering quickly. The tea was very light and you couldn't really taste the flavor too well. The decor is nice and the atmosphere is what you expect for...
Came here for high tea with my maid of honour as part of my wedding celebrations. It was overall a lovely experience; however I found most of the savoury bites were quite bland. The sweet bites were much better. It also would have been nice to have a heater for the tea as it did get quite cold and oversteeped for the duration of our visit. Service was friendly and attentive, and the venue is historic...
Had a fabulous time at their high tea service in their tea room. The staff was very accommodating and kind, the presentation was lovely and the food was very tasty! It wasn’t the best high tea I’ve had to date (the Vanitea Room in Ottawa still has that honour), but the scones, savouries and sweets were all high quality and flavourful. Well worth the money spent on the occasion!
We stayed at this hotel for a few days several years ago. It’s an old hotel but with good service. Our family decided to have afternoon tea here. Again, the service is very good. The waiter always attends to our service promptly. The food is good with big volume. The only problem is the napkin has holes on it. As it is a special day, they apply a special rate for the afternoon tea.
Had afternoon tea with my sister to celebrate her birthday and I must say I was underwhelmed. Have been to several different venues for this and it just seemed that the room we were in was very small and crowded. The presentation was lovely, however some of the items on the tray were dry and had probably been sitting for quite a while. The staff was very pleasant and did try to make your stay special...

This hotel exceeded my expectations. Comfy beds, bug-free (we checked), good shower and in a convenient location. Free coffee and juice in the lobby and I noticed they have a coin laundromat on site. Vending and ice machines are available with a good selection. Would definitely stay here again.
I have been staying here regularly for the last few years. The staff has been really good to me. I have mobility issues and the staff always takes care oh me. The rooms are simple but very clean and the beds are comfortable. There is a lot of really good places for food 5 minutes away. There is a Timmy's right next door. You would have to pay a lot more to move up to the next level hotel. This place...
When we booked our rooms for queen beds. They did not have enough queen size room so for their inconvenience - we were moved into a room that was equipped kitchen with a microwave, dishwasher, stove, over the range microwave, and fridge. We also didn't have to to extra. It was so nice because we brought food back to the inn and cooked which saved us money. This inn is also conveniently walking distance...
Amazing experience. Our room was on the first floor, and it exceeded my expectations! You could tell it was newly renovated - Beautiful, clean, and pristine! There was hard wood floors which gave the room a cozy, luxurious feel. Bathroom was equally clean and felt well sanitized. I would definitely stay here again in my future Toronto trips. Good location too & only a 10 minute drive to downtown.
Very good value, clean, friendly front desk staff, quiet room, well maintained.
Rooms were clean, had a little trouble adjusting our heat to a normal temp. Breakfast or lack there of was gross thank god tim Hortons is next door. Front desk staff are not very friendly, but for 70 bucks a night it wasnt the worst place we stayed.

I was actually impressed with how clean this place was. Considering the price, the rooms were actually really well kept and the place was very clean. You do have to pay for parking which I did not quite understand nor knew that I was going to have to for less then an 8 hour stay just to be near the airport. Either way, I am actually impressed with the rooms for a lower budget hotel and will be staying...
I was very impressed! There was a young man working the front desk last night and I regret that I forget his name, but he was so friendly and helpful! He got me checked in quickly. Room is as clean as any of the other airport hotels I’ve stayed at (Crowne plaza, etc). Nice comfy bed with a big fluffy duvet! The bathroom was clean. Our stay here exceeded our expectations! The goal was to be close to the airport and have a place to park our car for 2 weeks. We were offered special pricing through Trip Central that was very reasonable. Most hotel rooms in this category feel like they are just wiped down between guests rather than receiving an actual cleaning. This was not the case here! We watched one member of the staff thoroughly...
We only crashed there for a few hours when a flight got delayed, but the staff were super helpful, the room was clean and had the standard amenities. It's old, and the hallways smelled like smoke, but the room was fine. Definitely worthwhile to get some sleep and a shower. And decent enough for budget-friendly trips! I'd stay again and recommend it for what it is. Thanks again to the staff who made...
Good bang for the buck! The rooms are comfortable, a bit dated as others have mentioned, but definitely comfortable and clean. The mattresses are firm and pillows very fluffly/light. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful even under a lot of pressure. I totally appreciate their professionalism! I have enjoyed my stay at Carlingview many times the night before taking a trip on an airplane. The front desk staff are nice and helpful. Great Manager. He is welcoming, friendly and helpful. In fact, he noticed my front tire was low and brought out his compressor and inflated my tire. Rooms are clean and offered at a low price.
The location of the Hotel was great! The room was spacious and clean, and the hotel was quiet overall. The bathroom was a bit small, but is doable. It did take a little while for the ac to cool the room down, but for me at least, that’s not a deal breaker. Important to know that the hotel does not offer parking. Good stay overall.
Had a good stay here for 2 nights. Rooms are a bit small, but well organized so you have space for everything. The room appeared to have been recently renovated so it all seemed new and clean. Staff were always friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The biggest problem was that the hotel was playing Christmas music in November. This is never excusable.
We stayed at Hotel Victoria while in Toronto Saturday November 3rd. We booked a room with 2 Queen beds and the room itself was large and spacious. The bathroom was very small and did not have counter space (pedestal sink), but was clean. From my understanding, most of the rooms with one king bed are smaller in size. The staff were welcoming and friendly and took care of our requests and questions about...
My wife and I had a very nice night at Hotel Victoria. It is a kinda small boutique type hotel nestled in on Yonge Street that I never noticed before. It was a bit on the expensive side given the lack of in house amenities but the location was great. The...
Very impressed with this downtown hotel. Great location an easy walk from Union Station and a fantastic price for downtown TO. Room was smaller than most hotels but that wasn't a problem we weren't in TO to hang out in a hotel room. Bathroom was huge which was an odd irony. Very comfortable bed and Over Easy on site has some of the best breakfast I've had in TO.

My wife and I stayed there 2 times for 2 5week periods .It was nice and so were the staff. It was when we were in a shelter. We spoke to the manager 2 weeks ago and now he is not nice
It's a proper Toronto institution. While everything else is turning into a short term rental condo and destroying the city, this place is still here providing consistent and affordable service. If you need a place to crash but don't have a ton of cash, this place is reliable.
Basic studio with kitchen, had a good night sleep, located a few steps from Queen West not too far from Spadina. Everything worked well and was easy to move around downtown.
This is definitely an older hotel so don't go in with a 3 or 4 star attitude. What it lacks in modern amenities it makes up for with cleanliness and attitude. Clara at the front desk was wonderful. The proximity to Toronto Western is fantastic. Kensington Market is close by. We were here for a hospital visit. I would def stay again.
Unlike most people, I've used here as my dormitory for the first year of my University life. $1000 a month back then (2011) was not unreasonable for a 2-bed room. The hotel is quite nice for what it costs, and the cleaning lady was certainly a very lovely person. I am not sure at the current price ($1650+/mo) whether I will still choose it if I am new to Toronto and have nowhere to live. But provided...

We loved everything about our stay - breakfast on our patio, the bath salts and products, beautiful decor, and quick access to Secrette cocktail bar.
Lovely room, and building. Facilities were great. My only comment would be about the breakfast, being the same everyday and getting 3 pastries when there are 2 people, should 4 pastries :)
Want to be treated like a king or queen? Then stay at the Ivy at Verity! It's hard to find, but you quickly forgive it when they give you the quick tour as they lead you to your room. The room is so lovely and comfortable that you just don't wanna leave. All the little details, like the different bath salts, made our stay ultra special. I'm proud of my husband who picked this perfect hotel for our special day.

One of the best value hotels (Inn's) I've been too. Only one in the area that is renovated and provides 5 star service as if they were an official 4 to 5 star hotel rating (if they had a pool and room service they would definitely qualify for a 4 star hotel). Thank you!!!
Super duper bang for your buck hotel. The place has been renovated and they have done a really nice job. The rooms are clean and modern, comparable decor to some of the higher end hotels I’ve stayed in. The breakfast buffet was nice and fresh and fully stocked up to the last minute. I was a bit leary based on some of the reviews but was pleasantly pleased. The lobby could certainly use updating but had no plans on spending time there. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. It's not a luxury hotel so expect that some things could use a bit of cosmetic repair but it overall I have no complaints and would stay there again.
I had a great experience staying here. Great friendly staff, nice and quiet rooms, great price. The free breakfast is also a nice bonus. I will definitely stay here again.
I'm giving this 4 stars not because it's a 4 star hotel but for the price you get a decent place to stay. It's not fancy, the breakfast isn't that great and the coffee in the rooms is horrible. this was the cutest lil hotel room i’ve had, i like that it was small & not some 20 story hotel,, the staff are very nice & answered any question i had, very comfy bed, massive windows, beautiful shower/bathrooms, it’s on spadina close to queen st west with lots of food & shopping options(they also have a mini bar & eatery too), the parking garage two blocks over is also super cheap for overnights...
Great for a short stay. Very nice small hotel for short stays. Very clean and staff were very friendly. Rooms are comfortable and simple. A bit of sound travels between walls but nothing too bad.
The common spaces are lovely and overall the building is nice but our room was in a need of freshening up re:paint , chipped baseboards and furniture . Also our bathroom fan did not work so the room was very humid
Some odd things I did not care for but they were not wrong, just not to my liking. With the shades drawn the room was very very dark and hard for me to be comfortable in. There were three small lamps in the bedroom and I don’t think any of them had a bulb brighter than the one in my fridge! Service was nice. Hotel was very clean and furnished nicely. Plus the area is a convenient walk to the metro and downtown Toronto. :)
A good value for money to stay in an economic hotel in Toronto near to the university and the town center.
This hotel is about 10-15 minutes walking distance to Dundas Square. For those who need a parking spot, the hotel shows you options to park in the lots around the hotel. The room was modern and updated, but the walls are thin, and you can hear people outside your room pretty clearly when they walk by.
Parking was a real pain. The room was crazy hot and it was very difficult to adjust the temperature. Rooms are nice but the temperature thing sucks
Great service. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean. Whole building feels a little cramped. Room a bit smaller then I'm used too. Couldn't open the fridge fully because the door hit the bed. Breakfest was ok, not a lot to choose from, but was hot. Good for the price for a short stay.

Excellent value for money. Especially for a city-center location, it's number one.
The hotel facilities are old, but the service staff are very friendly. The location in the city center is a bit noisy at night.
This place was great. I think there's a ***** club or something downstairs, but ironically this was the best of the three places I stayed at this summer in Toronto. It was super clean, with nice staff and no nonsense, and the price was right. Also the east end is hilarious.
Great location. Close by many restaurants and bars. The room I booked didn’t have an air conditioner. I didn’t know this was an option. The owner did refund my second night because I left early.
The exterior of the hotel has a sense of historical vicissitudes, while the facilities inside are really simple. Since there is no coffee maker or kettle, it's quite inconvenient.

Absolutely LOVED staying here over the New Year! Our suite was absolutely perfect, the room service was phenomenal, and the scenery was just perfection. My husband and I literally sat in the window drinking espresso taking in the beauty of the architecture of this hotel. Will definitely be returning!
Nicely calming complex in the middle of all the hustle and bustle Toronto is! Great setting, decor, large rooms, fireplace, wonderful food, and romantic feel, you get it all at this place. Attended the New Year's party, entertainment was great, food delicious from many choices to satisfy any preferences, wish could stay extra day!
We had the festive brunch and it was good. Had a good time. Ambiance was great and the food was awesome. Maybe a live cooking station will be a great addition but it is still good as it is. The neighborhood was great for pictures as well.
One of the hidden gem in city of Toronto where one needs to enjoy at least once. This venue is loaded with nature's beauty around and one can enjoy nice half day exploring it while have delicious food at the hotel. There are various spots to do photograph sessions if one interested. There are enough rooms to stay if planning for any event while there are few halls if want to enjoy private parties....
It was my first time going here for a wedding. The venue is amazing. It's a historic hotel with so much to see. The staff are very welcoming, and there are many great backdrops for photos. Rooms are clean and comfortable. I would definitely go again just to stay and relax. It's pricey but worth it.

I've stayed at this hotel twice now; two summers ago and this past weekend. During my first stay, the room was fairly run-down and definitely needed to be renovated. However, the service was still good and I never felt unsafe. During my stay this past weekend, I was pleasantly surprised - especially since I had read reviews from this past month that gave me the impression things would be worse compared...
Alright experience. Rooms was smaller than expected which was okay but the air conditioner was an old model and wasn't working well barely any cold air blowing. The staff was friendly which was comforting. Would given it 5 star but the issues with the room being smaller than advertise and Ac issues still a wonderful stay would differently think about staying there again
Everyone is complaining as if they were expecting a 5star treatment for the cheapest hotel in Ontario. Low expectations when it’s cheap and it’s a good place. You get what you pay for. It’s really just old, outdated, in a bad part of town and there’s no parking. The rooms are relatively small but the staff is nice. Again - you get what you pay for. My original hotel booking got messed up and I needed a quick room and fast. They were able to give me accommodations the day of for a good price for Toronto. I'm not sure what has happened with the other travellers but my room and breakfast were more than right for the price. People don't realize that prices are astronomical in Toronto and come with high expectations. It was clean cute and the staff was friendly. Excellent location!
Ok for backpackers looking for a cheap hotel in Toronto relatively close to the downtown. Be aware that hygiene is not good and reception is not 24h. In our case reception closed at 11pm at night. At 8am it was still not open so we had to drop the key in the mailbox for checking out. If you are short on money better try an airbnb, if you can spend more go for a better rate hotel.
