Ada's Guesthouse
Toronto, 29 Linden Street 🧭 Map
Our trip to toronto was awesome. We had some issues with our car and the owner Garry was very understanding. The rooms are clean and the price is perfect for a road trip! Its a small room but its perfect when you dont want to waste a lot of money
Good value overall. Good location (very near subway and within walking distance of Yonge/Bloor; spacious room, big bed (although not the firmest); WiFi fridge and cable TV provided, and No Frills grocery store 3 min walk away so cheap eats are easy as pie. Management could improve experience with a few signs indicating things like a phone number to contact them and instructions on how to use the TV

Wellesley Manor Boutique Hotel
Toronto, 29 Wellesley St. East 🧭 Map
Sonder was a great place to stay for a long weekend. It was more affordable than majority of hotels in Toronto and the check in/out process was nice and simple (all on the app). I'd say the room was more suitable for one person rather than 2 as there wasn't a lot of space but we managed.
Location was good. 15min subway to downtown and plenty of good bars and restaurants just a few min walk away.
The room was small, but otherwise nice. The rooms do not have refrigerators, so upon request, the staff were nice enough to bring us a small bar fridge. Our issues were that we had no soap in the bathroom, despite requesting more, and the door to the room didn't lock. Otherwise, it was a decent experience.

Elliott House Bed & Breakfast
Toronto, 157 Dowling Ave, ON M6K 3A9, Canada 🧭 Map
Our room was very comfortable. Clean. Spacious and clean bathroom. Nice and helpful owners. Easy to travel around with public transport. Tram stop very close on King Street. Perfect to get downtown or to Bloor GO station to get to the airport by train.
Run by a lovely couple. Nothing is too much trouble. Nice room, comfy bed, ensue. Lots of choice for breakfast. Lots info on where to go. Convenient for street car to city. Perfect!
We really enjoyed our visit at Elliott House in Little Tibet in Toronto. Very friendly owners who were very helpful and accommodating. We stayed on the third floor. Parking is out back.
Fantastic B&B, Great location and even better hosts. Had a fantastic stay in September 2016 at Elliot House. Thanks Pauline and Jeff :)
The Elliott House B&B was clean, quiet and comfortable. The hosts made it feel like home away from home. Highly recommended.
Friendly couple living in a huge old house. Nice variety of breakfast foods and good coffee. We stayed in two different rooms both were quite fine.

The Only Backpacker's Inn
Toronto, 966 Danforth Avenue 🧭 Map
Has a lovely cafe! And a cute small bar! Great place to crash for a night or so! Has bunk beds!
The big plus of this hotel is 3 minutes from the subway. The first time I saw that the reception was in a bar, they also kept the towels that I received near the beer and wine, in the same place in the bar, if you want to drink, then a 10% discount at the reception-bar))). It also doesn't say on the website that you need to have a lock to store your belongings. For a traveler from Europe, this is something...
For 1 night, this place was nice to stay and sleep at. Confusing instructions to get to where you need to check in (find the café and where you order food). Make sure to remember which door to enter (there are 3 possible doors to choose from).
Younger crowds (as is customary in hostels). I saw a review that compared this place to a hotel. THIS IS NOT A HOTEL. Expect hiccups.
Stayed here as a solo female traveller and absolutely loved it. It's combined with a bar so you can easily pop down and have a late night drink, the staff are incredibly lovely and helpful. Well stocked kitchen so you can cook meals. Toast and coffee provided in the morning. Would absolutely stay here again when I return.
Just checked out and someone ran out with a croissant and a coffee for me to...
The Only Backpacker's Inn is a wonderfully vibrant and welcoming hostel that's surprisingly inexpensive. Staff are friendly and eager to assist, the lower floor serves great coffee, and a free light breakfast is provided from 8-10am every morning. The location is practically perfect, being situated just around the corner from a metro station that will get you to old Toronto in about fifteen minutes...

Keppner Guesthouse
Toronto, 41 Huntley Street 🧭 Map
Decent place for the price which in a very expensive city was the most important thing. Location is pretty good quiet but near downtown especially church street area. Room was surprisingly large, reasonably comfortable with a fridge, microwave and kettle which is useful.
It's pretty basic and furniture is obviously fairly old but considering the cost that's to be expected. WIFI was excellent and the...
Compared to other similar small motel/hostel-style places in the same range, I found Keppner to be a great spot in a nice area with clean, comfortable rooms (with en suite bathrooms), and the main father and son management are very friendly and quite accommodating.
I would definitely stay again if I need a short-stay accommodation in the future. Recommended!
I was promptly met by an agent who took care to explain the amenities and parking. The room was very clean and good sized. It was great to have my own washroom in my room. Centrally located for easy access to the U of T. Guests coming and going after 10:00pm were noisy, but otherwise, I recommend it!

Location was great, in the Village and close to the places I wanted to visit, and the room was within my tight budget. Staff were wonderful, very friendly and patient and helpful! The hotel was pretty quiet on a calm street with lots of character. Would absolutely stay there again.
I’ve stayed there in a single room
in august 2013 and loved it and staff was very friendly. I would love to visit back someday. I was even so happy that I’ve put my trash, bedding and towels nicely at the end of my bed with a tip ;)
Our room is really nice and clean and comfortable. In our room there is a sink, microwave and oven also fridge. Its like you rent small apartment. But the problem on our room is the window. There's air coming from outside by the window. And its directly from your head.
The street of this place is really close to restaurants, bars, pharmacyand liquor store. Walking distance
This has become my go-to place to stay in Toronto when I need a clean and affordable private room in an excellent location. I would totally recommend this place when traveling solo in Toronto and you just need a place to sleep. The only disadvantage about this guest house is the poor wi-fi, so don't count on having any zoom meetings.
To note: check-in times with staff are limited to a couple of hours...
I am enjoying my stay. Natalia and Kelly Anne responded promptly to every need. The bed and room is a bit small for my size but it is a Victorian mansion from 1890 so in that sense it's very modern w a TV fridge microwave plates utensils. My room has a great view on the 3rd floor.
Had a couple of weddings to attend in the neighbourhood in an evening, and needed a place to crash. Seemed like a good choice given the historic building and the pricing options.
Check-in was easy. The room and the stairwell smelt more of cleaning fluids than wood and history.
Room was clean, had a small flat screen TV, free Wi Fi, small washroom with a decent shower cube.
I had booked a room with...

Making Waves Boatel
Toronto, 539 Queen's Quay West 🧭 Map
Making Waves Boatel was a wonderful change from staying in an enormous hotel in the city. The accommodations were comfortable and the hosts, Diane and Ted were welcoming and created a personalized environment.
Breakfast was always great. Diane takes into consideration any preferences and dietary needs. Breakfast and coffee on aft deck chatting with other guests is SO much nicer than sitting in a busy...
Very unique bed and breakfast, highly recommend this place! Ted and Diane are excellent hosts with a beautiful boat. The breakfast was delicious everyday. We hope to return someday.
What a wonderful stay! As soon as we boarded we were greeted by the owners of the boat and shown around. Sitting on the water with an amazing view of downtown on the quiet waterfront was the best way to spend our honeymoon. The rooms are obviously not the size of a hotel, but the beds themselves are very comfortable. Greeted with breakfast and a coffee to start the day. Just amazing.
We came across Diane and Ted’s unusual bed and breakfast while looking for lodging for two nights in Toronto. Super experience. The Boatel is such a fun and different place to stay in the heart of downtown. Walking distance to the CN Tower, stadium, museums, and great restaurants. It is no longer a hotel but this hotel (at least the sign and address) was used and shown in the Amazon Prime show The Boys! Season 1, episode 8. 42:50. Just saying(:
Room was fully appointed... even had an extra sofa bed. Nice man at front desk. However, its time to change those carpets and bring in some professional drywall repairmen.

Thanks with the strict smoking policy I'm glad my room doesn't smell like Kensington market. If you are a smoker then this isn't the place for you.
Clean and affordable. Parking available for extra cost.
Room 10 horrible experience too much noise around barely any sleep until 2am and had to complain.
Safe affordable but don't take room 10. I had to force my self to wake up early and leave because of no sleep.
Good neighbors, it's a guest house, don't guest expect anything fancy.
For the price, you should be able to sleep without issue. Beside...
I've stayed at Kaiser's well over two dozen times over the years and I almost resisted posting a review because I consider it a hidden gem.
This place is clean, well staffed and a steal. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Kaiser's to my mom. My mom is obsessively clean.
If you also want a affordable secret hideaway in the heart of Toronto, book now. If you are dissatisfied I'd be astounded.
A bit of a hole in the wall, but very clean. Friendly staff.
Simple and clean spot in a very good location. Met reasonable expectations of this price for the downtown area of Toronto. Staff friendly and during my stay the evenings/nights were quiet. However, I could see a potential problem if other guests are not courteous, since the walls between the rooms and the hallway are thin. Note that this would not be a good location for someone with mobility issues...
Great location, but there's not much more to it than the bed you get and the shared showers/restrooms. It's fine for the price because the location is so good. Very nice staff too.

What an amazing experience we were there for 7 weeks while waiting for an emergency shelter to open up. Raj was an amazing manager. He took care of all our needs. Good room, clean, great location, walk to everything. Not much service though... no morning coffee, but Tim Hortons is near by.
Well its come a long way since the first time we all went. Its renovated and looks more proper
Since their new reno they have worked hard to change the atmosphere of the motel. The change is refreshing everything is new from new floors/bathrooms/paint/beds/furnishings, 51" TV , Free WiFi, it is also next to Mama Martino's Italian Restaurant and there is many other great places around. The services of all employees is very polite and pleasant. I have being going to this motel for years and the...
Best little hotel in heart of Etobicoke, closer to array of venues in the area. Id recommend it. Havent stayed myself as live in area.
Don't judge a book by the cover. Interior is very nice. Staff is professional, and cleaning staff is also well established. Enjoyed my time very much. Would tell anyone & everyone to stay. Affordable & comfortable. It's south end Etobicoke. Sherway Mall is down the street for the posh. Lots of eateries, and fine eateries too. Big up Queensway Motel.

Stayed for two weeks quarantining after travelling to Toronto - it was perfect for such a long stay, very comfortable, very nice staff. Internet worked great the whole time, which I really appreciated because I was working through it all. Very quiet and peaceful at night. It's an older motel, as reflected in the prices, and was perfect for hunkering down for the long haul. Thanks very much!
I recently had my house renovated and I was having a hard time trying to find a reasonable, clean and comfortable place to stay in Scarborough. I am so glad that I had found the Grand Motel. The hospitality was amazing and it was very clean!!! The staff was very friendly and all my needs were met.
The staff was highly accommodating after another hotel reservation fell through. Tania at the front desk was able to find a room for my family of 4 the SAME day and was kind and inviting. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There is an outdoor swimming pool that we unfortunately could not use as it wasn't open yet. I would HIGHLY recommend this spot. They truly care for their patrons and hospitality...

Rooms were good, clean, but very bare. No extras, would have been nice to have some tea/coffee/milk/sugar provided for a quick cuppa before heading out. No toiletries, no hairdryers. One towel and one facecloth cost 10.00. Would have felt better if there was one inclusive price instead of itemized charges,ie. towels 10.00 cleaning fees 20.00 etc. Never saw anyone while I was there. OK for a quick trip
The room and shared bathroom were clean, warm and comfortable. You can’t beat the price in Toronto and the location in relation to downtown is good. We walked to downtown in 10 mins.

This place is known for dope addicts. It's cheap in a way if you wanna party for a night indoors. It's frequented by addicts and homeless people who manage to get enough money up for a night. Ashley was the best, made sure we were comfortable and taken care of on short notice.
Room was clean and had everything we needed for a short stay at a cheap price.
Honestly, it was terrible, but we expected it to be. It was cheap in a good location so what do you expect.. The lady was helpful in recommending us to a food joint nearby and we needed no service. We just slept at the place. Side note: we bathed our kidsnin the sink cause there was no tub stopper.
The location is great and the price is fair. A man greeted us in within a minute after calling from the phone outside the main door of the building. The room we stayed in was small but included a private bathroom. Apart from the microwave being filthy, the room itself was clean. Very well-designed room, everything very well-thought of. Good lighting, comfortable bed, lots of room to sit around. One of the best and practical hotel rooms design that we have encountered.
Beautiful, historic building filled with art and plants and quirky touches. Room was spotlessly clean with a super comfortable bed. Great location for exploring Queen St and we walked up to the CNE grounds for a concert. Warm, personalized service too, we will be back!
This place is incredible. If you're looking to take a step back into time and get into an old elevator that has an operator this is your place, it is located in the heart of Toronto and has public transit right of its footsteps. The hotel was absolutely stunning and I love how David maintained the old school feel to it. But with a very modern touch. The South was super friendly and very helpful. And...
Enjoyed my stay here. We came in the middle of two weddings happening for the weekend so it was a bit noisy but that didn’t really bother us. Each floor has something different on it and I thought that was cool. I stayed on the 4th there’s a bookshelf with tons of great books and a chess board. Third floor has a pool table. The location in Liberty Village was perfect, within walking distance to restaurants/cafes and stores, the GO train station and Budweiser Stage.
Amazing historical hotel in the heart of queen street. I love the blend of preserving the historical elements, like the original brick walls in the rooms, combined with modern renovations and local modern art. Very cool aesthetic.
