The hotel room was great! The views were good, and getting to where we needed to go was easy because of it’s convenient location. Definitely a hotel people should consider when staying in Toronto. I loved the amenities like the pool and common areas. My only concern was that some rooms overlook the common areas and it can be very noisy which is to expected. Lovely hotel in the heart of Toronto. Rooms are clean and fully equipped. Great for a business trip as I could work comfortably from my room at the desk. There’s also a gym that includes: a few free weights that go up to about 50lbs, cables, treadmills, elliptical machine and a stationary bike along witha few mats and accessories. There’s a small putting floor next to the gym too.

Service was great. Room was nice, seem to be newly renovated - clean and well appointed. Room service was excellent! Lots of construction around, but that is Toronto right now - sound did not affect our sleep at all. Bed was very comfortable. Will be interesting to go back when construction is complete to see the hotel again. Very close to theatre and shopping. Metro Hall is half a block away.

Be prepared for a small room, even a smaller shower. Nice to have small appliances, even a washer/dryer if you are staying a bit. I just don't care for the crunchy sounding and feeling linens, not comforting to me. Towels were also not soft, which I guessed would be at this price point. The rest of the room was nice. This property has a great lobby, nice spacious rooms, and one of the better pools I have seen at a hotel. But just be aware not to enter the stairs here as you won't be able to get down as you need a room key for your floor. My sister, mother and I had a wonderful time at the Shangri-la. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The lobby bar is spectacular and they serve a high tea. The pool, hot tub and sauna was so relaxing. We stayed in a king suite which was nicely kept, room service was quick and the food/drink was delicious. I would highly recommend staying here as I will definitely be returning here!!

Rooms could have been cleaner, Bobby pins on floors so I don’t think it was vacuumed. Hot tub was out of order when we went to use it. Disappointed as we were expecting more. They did give us breakfast on the house for the hot tub disappointment and it was pretty good.

Got an upgrade to a 1 bedroom suite on check-in, which was awesome and extremely helpful when travelling with small children. Hotel pool was well used. Free breakfast buffet makes a huge difference to the budget when travelling with a family, and it’s well stocked with lots of choice. Very good location with many diverse restaurants around. Delicious breakfast for the whole family to enjoy every morning. Friendly staff who cater to our needs, and very practical but comfortable rooms.
