English Bay Hotel in Vancouver

This was a beautiful location and exactly what we hoped for. The well equipped kitchen made it possible to prepare meals for our family. Staff were welcoming & helpful. It was great to be able to store our bags before check-in. Bus stops, coffee shops, groceries & many other stores are easy to access. The view from the room was awesome - English Bay from one window and the mountains from the other.

The hotel is clean, the bed is comfortable, the kitchen has a refrigerator, microwave, plates, bowls, spoons, everything is complete.
The only thing I don't like is that the smell of the floor cleaner is a bit strong.
The hotel is in front of the bus stop, convenient to travel.
From the hotel, walk less than 100 meters to English Bay Beach.
 Overall, I like it. Next time I come to Vancouver, I will stay here again.

The location of the hotel is very good. There is a beach right outside. It is very convenient to eat and shop downstairs. There are Chinese supermarkets and restaurants nearby, which satisfies my Chinese stomach. The room has a kitchen with complete kitchenware. We heated milk ourselves in the morning and heated bread in the microwave. It was really convenient. I will stay here again next time!

It’s great for the price. Staff were extremely friendly. And located within walking distance of great Restaurants, bars, beach, park… watched the sunset on the bay last night. Felt safe walking around. They are apartments turned into hotel rooms. Yes it’s outdated but freshly painted, clean and comes with Kitchenette. It’s not fancy but we were fine. The smell…. They are located above a Mediterranean grill. I thought it smelled yummy. There was a disinfectant smell but that means clean. Not over powering in the rooms though. There are stairs to the lobby you have to carry luggage up but elevator to rooms. Worst part for me? The beds were uncomfortable. I have a feeling that all rooms are different. Bring pillows for sure. Not sure I could stay for more than a couple days. But if we had to again for a night or two we definitely would.

Budget hotel in a great area. When we come to Vancouver for concerts and sports this is usually the best bang for your buck. It's a 2-star hotel so don't expect anything flashy. It's kept clean and tidy, which is good enough for what we need. It's surrounded by amazing restaurants and pubs, also just a 5 minute walk from the beach.

Perfect budget hotel in the heart of English bay. Its old school and dated but we loved the place and staff were very helpful on check-in. If you’re a regular hotel visitor you may have a different experience but we had a lovely time enjoying the atmosphere of Denman street and the view from the room. Great atmosphere in the evening on the street with plenty of choice for food and drinks and great bike rentals for Stanley Park and connections to downtown buses. Doors lock on close so no need to create a clothes hanger lock like previous review. Dont knock it til you try it.
