Abigail's Hotel
Victoria, 906 McClure Street 🧭 Map
Nice to be served breakfast and a cute little menu to choose from. Staff were polite and many varieties of coffee, available all day. Appy plate on arrival.
Second to none. Beautiful rooms with many thoughtful details and amenities, including an extremely comfortable bed. Great location, only a few blocks from the Inner Harbour. Fantastic breakfast every day. And enough cannot be said about the service - warm, friendly, and personal at all times. We can't wait to come back.
The Abigail hotel was a pretty unique experience.
It’s a charming place, serviced by friendly staff and filled with pleasant surprises. Rooms are comfortable, well-kept, and of course, clean. While it comes off as rustic, it feels like it has been recently renovated. There’s an attention to detail that doesn’t go unnoticed.
Breakfast was fantastic, a cherry on top of the already pleasant experience...
A truly classic British style hotel. The room was beautiful with a very comfortable bed and really clean. There were two sets of stairs though! Everything looks very Victorian and fits the city of Victoria very well. The hotel is within walking distance to Victoria downtown. Our room was pretty quiet at night. The staff was very friendly and helpful and also assisted us in lifting our heavy suitcases...
My wife and I had a wonderful stay this weekend at Abigail's Hotel. The location is very central and convenient. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and have everything you need. I appreciated the thought that went into every detail - from the location of the wall plugs, to the free snacks. The employees were very personable and kind. The real highlight, however, is the breakfast. It is like no hotel...
My 2 friends and I just returned from Victoria had an amazing week stay at Abigail’s. The staff are so friendly and attentive and very helpful. The included breakfasts are amazing and the menu changes daily. 2 of us don’t eat pork or bacon and they happily accommodate and gave us almost custom made substitutions. Kudos to the 2 resident chefs who even made and baked all the yummy baked goods themselves...

Decent place to stay in the city, nice workers.
Good hotel right at the center of everything! Lots of good restaurants and tourist places are near by. We were able to see the Victoria Day Parade from our room! Only disadvantage is you can hear traffic sound at night, if you are sensitive then book a room that doesn’t face the Main Street!
The hotel has really comfortable beds, awesome pillows, great water pressure, and atmosphere. There is a slight smell to the hotel that is not completely unpleasant. It kind of smells like old books. It's unfortunate that the parking is limited and the neighborhood is a bit sketchy. The hotel does have a good security system in place to combat the neighborhood issues. The staff are very welcoming...
Room was decent enough, but nothing special or nearing luxury.... the problem is you are paying luxury prices in summer season for a clean but budget style hotel..... close to shopping and food downtown, but also close to homeless sleeping in doorways and wandering around..... at the right price, say under $175 a night, not a bad option ... but with the high season rates you are getting really ripped...
This hotel was nice for our 1-night stay. You can park outside the hotel for 10-15 mins while checking in which was super convenient. The staff member who checked us in was friendly and helpful. We were provided with a map to find the hotel's parking due to the one-way streets. The hotel's parking is not attached to the hotel but not far away either. It is underground, safe and easily accessible. The...
Stayed here for two nights recently and found the location fantastic in downtown Victoria, the staff insanely lovey and helpful and the room cozy. Bed was super comfy and the pillow were nice and solid, not like the ones that just sink right through when you lay down. It was perfect for someone with acid reflux who needs to prop myself up from time to time. Had two great night’s sleep and didn’t...

It’s a beautiful building but it’s really old. It’s like frozen in time. The elevator did not work which is a problem with taking your luggage to your room. The electric installations are inefficient. The bathroom was very small. The TV sistem is really slow. It’s a good place but has a lot of things to improve.
Nice option in walking distance to everything
We very much enjoyed our stay here. Didn’t realize about the dress code until we received an email, but it wasn’t a problem as we didn’t plan to use facilities beyond entering/exiting the hotel. Has a lot of charm to it and is in the perfect location in Victoria near the Harbour. Note: if you have mobility issues: it looks like after a few months, the...
Amazing location, close to everything and walkable. Lots of old world charm and very nice staff. Don't book this place if you don't want to adhere to their dress code -- they make it very clear, and it's part of the charm.
The breakfasts and dinner we had at the restaurant were even better than expected. Some of the rooms have been redone, and so have not, so there is a variety of quality there...
The luxurious historical aesthetics of the hotel and rooms were excellent. It is beautiful and elegant. The room was comfortable, and spacious. Guests with mobility issues may find some challenges.
This is a super location for exploring Victoria. The room was spacious and had a lovely bathroom. The hotel is not really a hotel as we would know it. No air con. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. This is step access ONLY. Many stairs and no working elevator. The poor staff had to call for anyone to help with luggage. They also operate a before 11.00pm curfew which meant we had to...

Paul's Motor Inn
Victoria, 1900 Douglas Street 🧭 Map
I use to stay at this hotel when I visited Victoria. Too bad it is now closed.
My husband and I just stayed here for 2 nights, the staff was welcoming and helpful; not only were the front desk staff wonderful but the Maintenance person helped us find electrical outlet for our Ev car. The decor is a little dated but it is Super Clean and comfortable to sleep at. Very quiet compared to other places we have stayed. Did I mention it is walking distance to Everything!! Including...
Great rooms, the diner is also awesome.
In its hey-day, it was an upscale motor inn; a motel, and a Victoria icon. I stayed 1 night. It was clean and the room was in good repair, although dated.
The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. The room itself was simple, but more than adequate for 1 night. The reviews I'd read we're right. There is very little sound insulation and I could hear traffic all night, and even conversations...
This old motel is a perfect base to explore Victoria from. The staff is friendly and the attached restaurant is delicious.
We got a courtyard room and it's perfect for our bikes.
Love the mom and pop restaurant (it's my secret hangover breakfast go to) I go quite often and the service is always great and the food is always amazing

Quality Inn Downtown Inner Harbour
Victoria, 850 Blanshard St 🧭 Map
It is old and careworn, the air vents are very loud and the coffee station wasn't stocked in our room. The pool is tiny, but there, same as the fitness room. But we booked it for the location which was phenomenal. And that was the point. We did really like that they had coffee available in the lobby.
Had a 4 night stay. Nice comfortable room, though it wasn't serviced while we were there. I guess we could have requested it. They apparently were short staffed so didn't see a need to ask. Reception staff were helpful and check in was pretty quick. Breakfast was available and though pretty basic did the job and the staff were very friendly.
I and my friends wanted to thank how grateful we were to the Male receptionist who was on shift on June 18th at around 12 midnight. We came all the way from Vancouver, I and my friends were looking for a hotel in Victoria Downtown. We had already searched for 3 hotels and all were full and it was already late at night, this kind Man in Quality Inn hotel was really sorry that there were no available...
For the excellent location, big room, free coffee/ tea / water (a cup), friendly staffs, accessible to bus or ferry connector, etc. This 2 star hotel/ Inn is definitely a keeper on my list if I ever visit Victoria. Of course, just need to aware this is a kid and pet friendly place and therefore it could be noisy. I would recommend this hotel/Inn to anyone who interested to visit Victoria.
I really like this hotel. Rooms are clean, the staff are friendly and it's in a great location. My only issue is it's loud. Walls are paper thin. If you're a deep sleeper or wear ear plugs you'll be ok. My last stay there were a group of guys in their 20s on my floor. I had a feeling it would be a long night. Needless to say it was very loud around 3am and the front desk needed to be called. I'm sure...
Worth to point out this is a 3 stars hotel. Was not expecting too many. The facilities are kind of old and small. Low felling room and easy to hear anyone walking on the top floor. Gated car parking- $12 per nights

Victoria, 506 Pandora Ave. 🧭 Map
Great location and very spacious, clean rooms. A number of small annoyances like issues with the TV and excessive heat in the rooms (the hallways were nice and cool, but opening the door to the room was like walking into a sauna). I'd like to see small updates made to the place - it's historical, but it's in some ways falling apart (holes in the walls, rips in the carpet, the smell behind the couch...
We were here for a wedding, and it was a perfect venue setup! We were just a few doors down from the party, and super impressed at how contained the sound was (our toddler slept through it all) Loft suite is super spacious with a full kitchen which is great. It’s an older building so what it lacks in modern hotel details like outlets near the bed, toiletries/amenities, up to date bathroom and furniture...
Food was good. Beer was good. The sangria was watered down. Service was fast and good.
Their price is good for victoria in that prime location. I stayed on the 3rd floor, and the room was spacious and clean. They don't have any air conditioning or fancy furniture in the room. They provided enough tower fans, the weather was chilling and raining, so it didn't bother us. But there was no hot water, it was really frustrating. We complained multiple times, but they couldn't fix it or switch...
Had a good time. Clean but simple. Great downtown location. Front desk lady Jocelyn made us feel welcome and was very helpful. She was our favorite front desk lady. I would stay again for sure.

Incuded breakfast was excellent with lots of variety including fresh baked goods and fresh fruit as well as variety of eggs, bacon, potatoes etc. Chef friendly and informative.
Very quaint, beautifully maintained property. Loved our room and how clean everything was! Especially the coffee pot in our room :)
Lovely place, very kind and welcoming host. Feels like travelling back in time , wonderful experience
The reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating was the lack of proper housekeeping. Had to ask a few times for more toilet paper. Kept removing our towels and not replacing them.
I reason I gave it a 4 star rating and not lower was due to Jeff making an excellent breakfast and being very personable.
Very clean and stylish. Very friendly host. The room we had was spacious and had a jet bath tub which I find is rather more practical than the vintage bath tubs at other places. For breakfast we were served poached eggs, hash browns, mushrooms, toast, fruits, sausage, bacon and more which was delicious. There is even a book room to watch old VCR movies. We will be back no doubt
An absolutely fantastic stay! The house and garden are beautiful and the breakfast is fresh and delicious. And the owner and her staff are some of the friendliest and most accomodating people I've ever seen managing an inn. We only stayed for one night, would have loved to stay longer.

Easy walking everywhere.
Have had the pleasure of staying here twice and I would never leave if given the chance. Everyone is beyond friendly. The rooms are so clean and beautiful. And the sunsets are out of this world!
Exactly what we expected from a WorldMark stay - lovely rooms, comfy beds, adequately stocked kitchen, outdoor pool and hot tub, convenient parking, and a great location. I appreciated the gym and the staff was available whenever needed. Beautiful views, too. It was an easy walk to the ferry and all the hot spots in Victoria. We'll definitely be back!
Beautiful location! We enjoyed hearing the seaplanes land and watching the foot traffic at Fisherman's Wharf. The rooms were clean and the staff treated us so well. Thank you for a memorable stay!
Everything! Location, comfort, facility and service🙂
I stayed for a week in a two bedroom suite overlooking fisherman’s wharf. The unit was really well kept with great features and a wonderful view. The staff were excellent as well. We only stayed for one night in a deluxe queen room. It was a spacious room with a couple of big windows with blackout curtains, and even a partial view to the water. It was odd that the coffee maker wasn't located near...
Our favorite place to stay in Victoria. This hotel has so much History and charm. Stay in a Superior Room with a real wood burning fireplace, yes it's real and you can buy extra buckets of wood. Jacuzzi tub as well with amazing water views. All for half the price of any other hotel and best location hands down in Victoria.
Clean, very friendly and efficient staff, and within 15-20 minute walking distance to everything you'd want to see near the old town. Nothing fancy, but it's comfortable and comes with all the basic amenities. Great spacious room with a wide desk to work remotely. No frills but had Eve thing you need! Staff is awesome and very accommodating. Stayed there twice and can’t beat the price and location
I love this hotel. It is not for anyone wanting all the modern accoutrements, but it has great character in a central location. Everything I want.
The room was qreat value and right in the heart of Victoria. There were no surprises - a clean room with all the basics. It had a unique charm to it which set it apart from other hotels. I would book a room here again if I made a trip back to the area.

Days Inn - Victoria On The Harbour
Victoria, 427 Belleville St, BC V8V 1X3, Canada 🧭 Map
I avoided breakfast as experience of food in the restaraunt on the bar side was so poor.
Hotel seems old and has that old "I've been on the harbour for 20 years" smell. Not gross at all, just not fresh and new. Rooms are tight but very clean. Full bathroom and we had a little fridge and extra sink. Awesome location as it's right by the legislative assembly and museum etc.
We stayed at the hotel for one night. The hotel is showing its age, clean enough but a VERY small bathroom with a difficult step up/down into it, beware in the middle of the night. The room is a true hotel room size (tight).
The restaurant has a great view but the food was less than good! I would have to say sad!!
Location is great though.
Very nice rooms . Comfy. Up to date. Close to center of town only a couple minutes walk to get where ever you need to go. Bus station right around the block. Beautiful views of the harbour. Thanks to the Days Inn for a great stay! I enjoyed the hotel's perfect location, the warm pool and hot tub, coffee in the lobby, and clean rooms. Amazing staff and great hotel. The rooms are beautiful. We had a room on the 17th floor (top) with a balcony and it was just phenomenal. Heathergate Cottage and Suites
Victoria, 122 Simcoe Street 🧭 Map
This was such a lovely place with beautiful decor. The interior has little touches that made it feel very welcoming. The place was spacious and clean. We had an amazing time and it very much exceeded our expectations!
Location is excellent, right in the heart of Victoria. Nice and quite neighbourhood. The cottages are colourful with a lot of character, beautiful landscaping. Well stocked kitchen utensils, appliances.
Comfortable and attractive surroundings, friendly hosts and close to downtown. We walked there our first evening for dinner.
The suite was bright with lots of windows and the garden areas were beautiful. We sat outside every afternoon and read our books.
The bed was comfortable and the shower had lots of hot water. There were a few breakfast options including fresh fruit and cereal or pancakes...
Had a wonderful stay here with my husband! Ned and his wife provided top class customer service! The cottage we stayed in was so quaint and had all the amenities needed. Enjoyed making eggs and pancakes with the provided breakfast! Would highly recommend this B&B! Would defiantly stay here again! Thanks for everything!
Lovely!! Close to the pier. Walkable distance to downtown. Very clean, owner is on-site and very gracious. Outside seating in lovingly maintained garden. I recommend this place absolutely.
In 1995 my husband and I stayed in the Cottage at Heathergate House and loved it. I had the wonderful opportunity to stay there again recently with three family members. It was as lovely as it was before! The outside courtyard/garden is absolutely beautiful and is the perfect place to have a cup of coffee before heading out for a day of sightseeing. The cottage itself is clean, spacious, comfortable...
