Marica's Boutique Hotel in Paphos

This place is easy to get to by public transportation from the airport (the bus is 1 Euro or 6 something for a day pass). It's in a calm, quiet location with a 24-hr convenience store nearby. We needed a cheap place that had same-day reservations, so this is what we ended up getting. We were not on the harbor or in other overly-touristy locations, so there was peace and quiet and we had the beach almost to ourselves. There were what appeared to be local fisherman and then either another guest or a local walking around on the beach.

The beaches are made of small rocks, not sand.

The staff was very friendly, letting us see our room and approve of it's condition before agreeing to stay there. Our sandals were very muddy from walking to the beach (there is a path nearby, mostly laid out in rocks but highly overgrown by plants in places) and the staff let us hose off our footwear before returning to our rooms. It's a good idea to have spare sandals for walking to the beach in. Also, check out the 24-hr store nearby as they might have anything you need. I ended up searching many stores in the harbor and in other places when the store next door to the hotel had exactly what I was looking for at a local price, not a tourist price.

A local vegetarian restaurant was recommended to us, which was excellent. A ride to the airport was arranged for us at 3 AM and the driver was a lady, which made us feel safer than if we had had a man driving us in the wee hours of the night in a foreign country where we didn't speak the language.

Everyone who works in tourism there speaks English, so it's not a big deal if you don't speak Greek.

The issues we had with the room were that there were no screens on the windows or for the sliding glass doors, water leaked all over the bathroom floor and into the hallway when I took a shower, there was no stationary in the room, there were no drinks in the fridge, and the sliding glass door to the balcony was hard to pen and close. However, for the price, one knows they aren't getting the 5-star experience. We just cleaned up the water and got our drinks at the store nearby. If you want a cheap price, you have to understand you get what you pay for. Book an expensive hotel if you aren't ok with unexpected inconveniences.

We made our booking from booking.com, which said the place had a restaurant, however, upon arrival, we found out there was no restaurant. The staff helped us pick out a great restaurant and explained how to use the local bus and where to catch it. They looked up the bus schedule for us too.

The air conditioner worked fine and was present in both rooms. I don't know if I'll ever be in Cyprus again, but the stay at this hotel was pleasant enough to consider staying there again. I don't like crowds or noise and this place was serene and beautiful. We could see the sea from the balcony/sliding glass doors and the night sky was beautiful as were the lights of the city at night.

Functional, clean, comfy bed, air-conditioned. Lovely pool area with comfy loungers and umbrellas. A nice lawned garden with colourful oliander trees. Free parking. Friendly staff. Great value. Only downside is there was no food or drink available but there is a 24hr kiosk metres away

It was nice🙂 and memorable moment relax peaceful atmosphere we just stayed two nights they have very good behaviour specially the reception and other employees 😊over all it was good but just little small problems must solve first we don’t find any slippers inside also we face trouble with hot 🚿 water you must wait more than 10 -15 minutes and finally it was not to much hot
