Definitely not a 5 star hotel, more like 3 star. The staff were kind and pleasant, the drinks were good and so was the food. However the hotel itself is run down and needs updating. Exposed electrics, ceiling falling down in the indoor pool, really strong sewage smells on the gym/indoor pool floor. There is a small mini supermarket in the hotel but be warned the priced are extortionate (€7.90 for one...

We have visited the hotel many times as we find the service, location and rooms very good. In our last visit (18/1/25) Rooms were very clean, food was nice and service was excellent. Music at night was also a charming addition in our overall stay.

The hotel is amazing. A lovely location. A beautiful pool area with many sunbeds. All the staff are friendly and very approachable. All the public areas are extremely well maintained . The room we were allocated was very spacious with beautiful decor. We had a lovely pool and sea view. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I don't think this deserves to be a 5 star hotel. The bathrooms have see-through glass so it's its not really family-friendly. The rest of the hotel such as the buffet are quite mediocre and the pool is only only around 120cm deep like a kiddie pool. I even saw a few cockroaches here and there. The only nice thing about the hotel is the wonderful view of the Cypriot coast and the Mediterranean Sea

Good place to stay for few days. Get the all inclusive options, because you get all drinks free. Good view from the rooms with sea view. Aquapark is free with all inclusive option. Hotel is located in quiet and clean area. There is a sea in 2 min by walk, but there are mostly stones high above the water, so you can spend around 10 min to the nearest beach where you can swim. We came for 11 nights as bed and breakfast, during our stay we have found the hotel clean and staff very helpful. The pools are good and there is plenty of beds. The gym is decent. Restaurants and drinks in hotel are expensive and it is slightly outdated but we would definitely come again. also the walk to the harbour can be hard in the heat

The main disappointment was our room with view onto main road, very noisy in the evening and early morning therefore you have to keep your windows closed. We cannot recommend Alexander the Great highly enough. The staff are all so welcoming and as returning guests many of them remembered us and our preferences. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble. When we walk through the door we instantly relax an it feels like coming home. Already booked next years visit!

Returned today from 10 wonderful days away spent at the Cynthiana Beach hotel. Initially, we booked on a bed and breakfast basis but upgraded once there to the all inclusive package at a not unreasonable €40 per person per day. We had a wonderful couple of days here! The All-Inclusive option is a great value for money, with numerous food and beverage options through the entire day. We stayed at the hotel for two nights with my 13-year-old daughter. Overall, we had a pleasant experience, but we would not return. The hotel is so noisy, with many young children under 10 years old. Staff here are wonderfully warm and friendly. All inclusive package is good, rather than excellent, but really no complaints. Superior rooms not an expensive upgrade, and improvements enough for the small supplement. Recommend the option if available. Review ideally should show 4*+. Here in September 2024 with my family. Was absolutely amazing place to chill as an adult hotel. Hotels room was okay size but however, toilet is a little small. Food and drinks were lovely and you get a choice to dine within hotel restaurants. Server will bring you drinks to your sun lounger while you chilling/sun bathing Hotels activities and lovely beach to enjoys.

Location and sea are absolutely gorgeous and magical. However, the food is below average in flavor, quality and variety. The hotel could use some renovation, it feels like it was stuck in 2013 (minus the reception). The beach is not private so even though the hotel is adults only, you'll find plenty of kids in the sea which wasn't a plus for us.

Fantastic hotel for adults only, service is first class, food , drink really nice . Staff go above and beyond they are marvellous ,and work very hard. The only draw back , is getting a sun bed around the pool , that is if you want to get up at 5.30! But that is not the end of the world and there are other areas. It's still a fantastic hotel .
