Hotel Vater Rhein

I had lunch at their restaurant, too pricy. The waiter barely could speak german, he couldnt tell me, where their salmon got caught or if is from aqua culture.

Italian? Not at all. very long waiting time, the waiter was not interested in us at all. The food tasted bad, nothing Italian about the food at all. We have waited very long for our drinks but the food came very fast, maybe because it's not fresh, at least it doesn't taste fresh. I went inside to pay, there was a lady cleaning glasses behind the bar, I waited like 5 minutes and she didnt even look at me, no hallo, nothing she just ignored me. The waiter outside was also not good. Bad service and terrible food. I also saw salmon with curry sauce on the menu????

All three of us ordered lasagna. Literally the worst lasagna ive ever seen and eaten. The lasagna was swimming in some kind of sauce if you can even call it a sauce, it was more of a bad tomato soup with pieces of cream in it. We all tasted the lasagna but everyone at the table disliked it and hasnt eaten their dish. The waiter didnt come to ask if the food is good, he only came to take the dishes back when he thought we were finished eating. He saw the untouched plates and started saying that this is a real italian lasagna and its not possible that we dont like the taste.. i have lived in Italy and I can really tell this is not a good lasagna, not even close. The waiter didnt even propose a different dish. He looked mad after taking the plates and didnt come to the table again. We payed the full price and left hungry. Thankfully we found a nice restaurant next to this place and had a good meal.
