Basic room, good spa features Not sure about the spa experience as I only stayed for one night The sauna was in good condition and spotless Gym is very basic but functional Checkin was really quick Parking on the location is limited

The location is great because it's near the forest and at the same time just a couple of minutes on foot from some main attractions, and from the main pedestrian area with lots of little cafés and restaurants

The entire hotel has a very nice atmosphere, great design, the lobby is very comfortable and inviting

They offer several different saunas including infrared, there's an amazing comfortable spa lounge area, a well equipped gym, a very nice pool, resting rooms, a library room, and open space areas/terraces

That was the only a bit tiny problem. Btw it seems like someone loves the "deer"🦌. You will find it every corner of the hotel. Seriously everywhere ! Otherwise we had a good a good time there

In the heart of Bad Harzburg, we found this an excellent place from which to wander round the town, and also to explore the region

This we have done now 3 times. This tells enough about the Hotel. We have stayed on many Hotels around Europe, but Braunschweiger Hof is still the best one

We stayed at the Braunschweigerhof in Bad Harzburg for a few days over New Year 2024-25. The rooms were modern , very comfortable and immaculately clean

There was a very nice traditional ambience in the public areas and restaurant. The staff were all charming and helpful, and the food was delicious. I would particularly compliment the restaurant staff

More than a good hotel! We had a 3-day package "Romantik" half board and included a candlelight dinner. And a welcome cocktail (with 4 courses). Pleasant service, cozy bar, good massages, excellent service

There is a lot to see and do in the Harz region so we hope to be back to explore further, and will certainly stay here

I love the garden here. It lies at a good spot from where you can view the whole town.

The drainage in the bath really needed some cleaning. The small sieve over the drain doesn’t do the job itself! The drain underneath was filled with hair etc. so the water wouldn’t run out

It’s small and the asphalt is terrible!! Sad the fountain wasn’t active with water running. There is another parking spot right next to the hotel though for those who want to park there

The garden could use a makeover but it’s nice and quiet. Don’t get fooled by the pics of the parking spot in front where the fountain is

The reception is open only from 8am to 8 pm which is not so optimal but we got the keys from a locker in front of the hotel entrance

An absolutely beautiful dining area. The service was perfect, we followed our servers recommendations and all the meals were all excellent

The breakfast had a fairly good selection and in the evening there was the possibility to buy a buffet at a reasonable price

Everything was great. The location is beautiful, right in the forest. The food was good too.

I was prepared for the hotel to be very German, but the experience this time was beyond imagination. The external environment is good, in a forest. There are no signs on the road or outside room doors

The bar tender makes a short holiday for you, thanks a lot for this two days. There is only one mall thing, that I would see as an optimization potential: the TV in the rooms is quite small, I would guess 21"

Staying in the bar was also pleasant. Darts/ billiards/ table football/ gambling table. The breakfast you can only say one thing, everything your heart desires. Thank you and we will come back

But now for the best part: the staff are amazing, super friendly and helpful. They leave nothing to be desired and for me are the most important and biggest asset of the hotel

Charming and quiet hotel in one of the best spots in Harzen for mountainbiking and gravel cycling. Staff is nice, and food is some of the best I had in all of Germany.

This hotel is fantastic! We stayed in the John Goodman room (I forget the exact number) and we enjoyed a beautiful view of the pond, spacious room, and separate toilet and shower rooms

Great hotel with a nice breakfast, top service and employees. The bedroom was nice with a big shower and the surroundings also good with a nice lake in front and cute town

We were in the restaurant for dinner and it was amazing! Very tasty, delicious, nice menu and very nice and attentive (and also high professional!) service. Children get a small gift to be busy while they are waiting

Also great location as Wernigerode and Goslar, two amazing medieval cities to visit are close by! Great place!

A bit worn, but nice and tidy. Breakfast was good. Much too few parking spaces. And it would suit the hotel well to inform about the Covid-19 effects on the swimmingpool and slot-times for breakfeast.

Small but adequate and quiet room with small balcony with two chairs.. Our room had a nice view. Staff are very friendly and helpful in spiite of being rushed off their feet. Reception personnel less so....

City center (very nice) within walking distance, or take the bus 50 metres from the hotel directly to the central station. The spacious room with balcony was nice but not impressive

The same can be said about the breakfast. Unfortunately the covid-19 restrictions made the breakfast experience stressful due to the limited capacity

But that wasn't a problem, the food is very good, the Altenauer Dunkel beer tastes very good, so from 5 stars, 5 stars. If we are ever in the area, we will stop there again. Oh, children are also welcome there

Breakfast is very good and plentiful, also good for bikers, we have our own garage for the bikes, we recommend going out to eat at Restaurant Hirsch, as breakfast is only available in Hotel Engel

Room was good, mattresses were also OK, it was pleasantly quiet, service was very good, hosts were very nice and helpful

Brocken can be reached quickly, equal to the two golf courses. Bad Harzburg fast 30 minutes with a slow drive. Good breakfast served at the table. Extra wishes are gladly fulfilled. The dinner tasted really good

Conclusion: We are already looking forward to the next opportunity when we can drive to the Harz - we will definitely come to the organic hotel "Zum Forsthaus"! All the best, dear family Weiss!!!!

Perfect as a hiker for the Hexenstieg. Rooms are neat and clean. The breakfast is varied and plentiful. A little further down there is a pub with a good selection of beers.

My wife and I have visited twice in a very short space of time. The first time a long weekend and the second a week. Right on the Hexenstieg and other hiking trails. Very centrally located to explore the Harz Mountains

Is a home for assisted living and a hotel. As a hotel guest, I felt very welcome there. The rooms and apartments were furnished to a high standard. The location is very central and quiet. I can only recommend.

There are still special Corona measures that were NOT communicated in advance: NO breakfast buffet, although this is shown on the hotel's homepage, instead "allocation" of sausage and cheese, fitness room only accessible after a Corona test

Let’s just start out with: If you want to stay in Goslar you will not be disappoint if you stay in Akzent Hotel Villa Saxer. Right from the very first contact, you will find that they’re so extremely nice

Honestly, we’ve never experienced service this consistently good anywhere else. Hats off! Now for the highlight: breakfast. One of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve ever had

The room was big and had a very cozy vibe to it. You really wanted to stay in there just because it was so nice. Breakfast was splendid, and we enjoyed a lot of good options. Oh, and charging you EV is no problem at all

To be fair, gyms in hotels don’t seem super common in Germany anyway. While the hotel doesn’t serve lunch or dinner, we didn’t mind—one of Goslar’s best restaurants, Schwarzes Schaf, is just around the corner

Historical hotel. Room was little bit cheap and contraction was confusing. But for me, it was interesting. And also, the access to town was so good. I really enjoyed staying.

Check in was a bit weird. Staff were behaving a bit odd. Didn't feel all too welcome. But clean and spacious room. Water preassure in the shower was non exicting.

A lot of light there!!! Friendly people at the reception! Delicious breakfast!!! If you hesitate whether you need breakfast there, include it!!! That was soooo good! There were variety of cheese, pastries, sausages, fruit, beverages!!! The hotel is 15 minutes from the station and right next to the Christmas market!!! I hope I’ll come there one more time!

The building is very old and you need to walk a few hundred meters to go to the reception and breakfast. Beds are good and the room offers eveything you can expect. We had dinner in the hotel which was great

The hotel consists of several complexes that are very well integrated into the old town. The main train station is also within easy reach. Nice swimming pool with sauna, everything is well maintained

Close to historical town. I was told there was a pool but didn't use it. Room is good size for solo travels with a small refrig. Clean. There is breakfast service but I didn't try it.

For my feeling, Christmas Buffet was not as good as the buffet on normal day. We were a little disappointed but ok, they have all of the plus points from room, service and staffs

Very nice hotel right on the edge of the forest in a quiet location. We had a great room with a view of the Bocksberg. The nice employee at the reception and in the breakfast room fulfilled all wishes

In the evenings in particular, we really enjoyed the couches. From the balcony we could see the Bocksberg. Breakfast is solid, rolls, eggs and everything you like

The breakfast buffet was also great. Unfortunately the weather didn't play along, but we will definitely come back again

There are fresh juices and bio juices as well as mint tea and coffee. Fresh vege salad is available at the buffet counter with tasty quality ham/chicken fillet. Would recommend this hotel and want to return

There are two rooms where you can enjoy your morning meal; one is a sort of lounge with several tables and seats and the other is furnished with one (and a smaller) large table, to be shared with other guests, which I find a pretty sympathetic idea

Every morning we were greeted nicely by the lovely yet professional lady, who turns out to be the manager. Very smart positioning of the hotel management, which represents the face of the hotel

Super good place at a reasonable price. Good food, good rooms and nice staff and then it is nice that you can park your motorcycle in the garage. Nice area if you want to cycle, ride a motorcycle or hike.

Fist time I ever stayed in a place with a 'biker' theme...Even had a soap dispenser shaped like a motorbike in the bathroom!!! That was a nice touch...The surrounding countryside is pleasant enough...

our room was well designed, a blend of typical harz region style and modern industrial style. we had one of the bigger rooms and this is needed i guess

but we missed a sofa, a proper coffee maschine (there is a kettle, tea and instant coffee) and a fridge. at this price range i expect to have these, as well as bathroom amenities if you are very picky

We had a choice of campsite and plenty of space (end August) and were able to wash and dry our laundry (€8 a bit much when compared with other campsites)

The washrooms were a bit limited, with cooking, washing up, laundry, and chemical loo emptying all in the area of the women's toilets
