Best Hotels in Bad Harzburg

They offer a very nice breakfast buffet and I particularly liked that there was coffee and tea additionally served next to the reception during breakfast time (convenient if one eats a bit later but wants to have just something warm to drink an hour or two before breakfast; or even to take away)

The location is great because it's near the forest and at the same time just a couple of minutes on foot from some main attractions, and from the main pedestrian area with lots of little cafés and restaurants

There was also always a bowl of apples to take for free 😊 The dinner was a 3 meal choice or a pizza, and one of those 3 options was always vegetarian 🙌 The staff was super helpful and friendly

Every day there's an info board in the lobby about what they recommend to see that day, hiking paths suggestions, what's on the menu that day, and so on

They also offer massages and beauty treatments (I haven't tried anything though)

I highly recommend this place and I'll certainly be back :)

This we have done now 3 times. This tells enough about the Hotel. We have stayed on many Hotels around Europe, but Braunschweiger Hof is still the best one

The six course menu was very fancy and incredibly tasty; the range of wine, beer, softdrinks and juices was incredible, the service very observant and excellent. Our party had a room with fancy interior to to ourselves

BEST BEST BEST We drove 5 hours from Denmark Hotel Braunschweiger Hof, just to stay there for a night and to enjoy the restarant and the very special german breakfast, and then 5 hours back to Denmark next morning

It is a really clean nice place right in the center of Bad Harzburg, 10 min away from the train station and close to nice restaurants. It gives a really good breakfast.

I love the garden here. It lies at a good spot from where you can view the whole town.

The drainage in the bath really needed some cleaning. The small sieve over the drain doesn’t do the job itself! The drain underneath was filled with hair etc. so the water wouldn’t run out

It’s small and the asphalt is terrible!! Sad the fountain wasn’t active with water running. There is another parking spot right next to the hotel though for those who want to park there

The garden could use a makeover but it’s nice and quiet. Don’t get fooled by the pics of the parking spot in front where the fountain is

The reception is open only from 8am to 8 pm which is not so optimal but we got the keys from a locker in front of the hotel entrance

A great slogan or funny caricatures and objects on every corner. The rooms have been cleaned very well and the decor is very nice. The roof terrace is a dream and offers a wonderful view 😊🙏 Anytime again 🙌

The portions were also absolutely sufficient. The service was very friendly and accommodating. We'll definitely come back more often on the next vacation, even if you run out of calories before and after

What annoyed me, however, was that my breakfast table, which I had for two days, was suddenly reserved for another gentleman, and I was assigned a cat table with a pillar in front of me

The bathroom was new with a large shower. What I was missing were towel rails at the head of the shower, you had to step out of it to dry off

This is a great Hotel with 5* Service, in the middle of nowhere. Dinner and breakfast is great quality. If you want to chill, you need to go to the QBar, the service and the drinks are awesome

We were in the restaurant for dinner and it was amazing! Very tasty, delicious, nice menu and very nice and attentive (and also high professional!) service. Children get a small gift to be busy while they are waiting

Small but adequate and quiet room with small balcony with two chairs.. Our room had a nice view. Staff are very friendly and helpful in spiite of being rushed off their feet. Reception personnel less so....

City center (very nice) within walking distance, or take the bus 50 metres from the hotel directly to the central station. The spacious room with balcony was nice but not impressive

The same can be said about the breakfast. Unfortunately the covid-19 restrictions made the breakfast experience stressful due to the limited capacity

But that wasn't a problem, the food is very good, the Altenauer Dunkel beer tastes very good, so from 5 stars, 5 stars. If we are ever in the area, we will stop there again. Oh, children are also welcome there

The hotel consist out of multiple buildings. We had a suite in a separate building which had a classic look and feel. The balcony was big and we had view of the small river

The hotel is situated on a hill in beautiful Altenau. The front desk was very friendly and since not all rooms were occupied, a larger room with a balcony was prepared for us free of charge

There were four of us including our dog for one night in February. Room was preheated, everything seemed very clean. The hygiene regulations are meticulously observed in the hotel

Brocken can be reached quickly, equal to the two golf courses. Bad Harzburg fast 30 minutes with a slow drive. Good breakfast served at the table. Extra wishes are gladly fulfilled. The dinner tasted really good

Perfect as a hiker for the Hexenstieg. Rooms are neat and clean. The breakfast is varied and plentiful. A little further down there is a pub with a good selection of beers.

My wife and I have visited twice in a very short space of time. The first time a long weekend and the second a week. Right on the Hexenstieg and other hiking trails. Very centrally located to explore the Harz Mountains

A big part of the center is not accessible for cars. This is not a problem at all, because Goslar isn't that big. It's a good hotel to stay if you want to explore the beautiful Harz mountains

The staff will inform you personally about the city and things to visit. The rooms have names instead of numbers. Our room was good and the bathroom looks very good

Very nice hotel right on the edge of the forest in a quiet location. We had a great room with a view of the Bocksberg. The nice employee at the reception and in the breakfast room fulfilled all wishes

In the evenings in particular, we really enjoyed the couches. From the balcony we could see the Bocksberg. Breakfast is solid, rolls, eggs and everything you like

The dining experience is excellent. The little train that brings drinks and dessert is such a quirky feature you'll not be able to take you're eyes off it.

There are two rooms where you can enjoy your morning meal; one is a sort of lounge with several tables and seats and the other is furnished with one (and a smaller) large table, to be shared with other guests, which I find a pretty sympathetic idea

The reception/bar is combined with a pretty cozy lounge corner to play a game in the afternoon. Rooms are quite spacious and very clean. Breakfast is also fine; quite some choice

Even the chef prepares the omlette passionately (for a daily hotel buffet) Impressed! Dinner was fully booked, so no chance to try. I also love the quality of the service set

I have stayed here a few times when I visit the area. The hotel is clean and the service is friendly and professional. I ate at the restaurant one night and appreciated the vegan options on the menu.

Very nice and big rooms (we booked comfort category) with direct view to the marketplace. The only we missed was a coffee machine in the room. However, there is probably not a better place to stay in Wernigerode

Ringhotel is situated in the center of the City Wernigerode. Not far away from all visiting points of interest. I felt very comfortable and well supported, from the first contact by phone till the check-out

We also booked a welcome package with sparkling wine, chocolate, and fresh fruits, which is very recommended

We stayed at this Hotel Harz in Wernigerode with 2 families for 7 days. The hotel is very well located in the center and can be reached on foot in just a few steps

Super good place at a reasonable price. Good food, good rooms and nice staff and then it is nice that you can park your motorcycle in the garage. Nice area if you want to cycle, ride a motorcycle or hike.

I highly recommend restaurants where you can eat well and a lot, spend a nice time and thanks to the employees of this restaurant, your stay in this town becomes even nicer. Clean hotel, beds very comfortable

Small rooms but you don't need much if you are here to go skiing. Bathroom doesn't smell that great but also not horrible. There is free breakfast and the food is great. Would definitely recommend to a friend

Fist time I ever stayed in a place with a 'biker' theme...Even had a soap dispenser shaped like a motorbike in the bathroom!!! That was a nice touch...The surrounding countryside is pleasant enough...

Very helpful and friendly staff, my room was clean and with a large balcony. Good breakfast, sauna and small swimming pool.

The breakfast is good and completely sufficient. It's family-like and the staff are really nice

A huge plus point was the large wellness area with pool and two saunas, which with its relaxation room is perfect for relaxing after hiking. You rarely feel so comfortable and homely in hotels, soon in a new one!

The fact that the swimming pool can only be used by families and at a time chosen by the guest is no cause for criticism for me. Every hotel needs a hygiene concept and this has been solved well
