Very nice hotel. The room was nice, very good beds and bathroom. Everythong clean. Very good breakfest with many different choices of everything you could like.

that the restaurant is closed at days we have diners at other places used bathroom excellent, cleaners did good job and breakfast was okay.

I booked a room with King bed and in the request I asked for a room in a high level. I was given a room with two single beds and in the first floor directly on the main street. The toilet was not clean.

Nice house, lovingly furnished and beautifully situated. Unfortunately, some rooms smell very bad, probably poorly ventilated or damp beds. The breakfast was just so. However, the service is very attentive and friendly. And the morning coffee tastes good!

Food, as well as hospitality just great

We made a wonderful autumn hike in the Ehrental near Schmalkalden. My students give 999 stars in preparation and hospitality. Warm, nice, child-friendly ... awesome all the staff. We would love to come back. The deer were an additional highlight.

First of all, the restaurant is now closed and according to the boss, the hotel will also be closing soon. The reception was friendly, you can drive up to the barrier-free and covered entrance to unload. The atmosphere is rustic, like the 80s, rooms are OK, but it's very tight around the bed. You can't take off your shoes because there's only one shoe's length of space next to the bed The mattresses...

On the occasion of a family celebration, the five of us were able to experience two wonderful days there. Large rooms with great beds, quiet in the hallway, wonderful breakfast buffet. All in all, the family atmosphere of the Jägerklause contributed to the relaxation. We absolutely have to appreciate the friendliness of these amiable Thuringians. Thank you for everything.

Nice little hotel. So far everything is okay, unfortunately no lounges. No possibility to sit down anywhere as a group, not even outside of meals, in the dining room. Food was ok.

Jaegerklause is still my favorite place to go when in this area. Rooms are clean. The area is nice and quiet and the food is excellent. Even in these harsh, disease stricken times, the stay was great.

The hotel is in a beautiful location on the edge of the forest. Good to start hiking. The food from the show kitchen is superb. Extremely tasty and very creatively prepared. You sauna is too small if the hotel is well attended. The soul of the house is THE boss, who is always available to help.

Nice staff and the room 111 has a lot of space. Restaurant has excellent food, specially for meat tasters. Breakfast has the standard of a 4 stars hotel. The swimming pool could be warmer, but sauna was fine around 85°C

Our second visit to this hotel and once again we enjoyed our stay. Comfortable bed, quiet at night and all spotlessly clean. Friendly staff and a good breakfast. Top marks for beautiful white tablecloths in the dining room :) We look forward to returning sometime.

Excellent hotel, great hospitality, spacious and very clean, comfortable rooms and very good breakfast. Breakfast was a bit expensive at €13 each: selection is very good but we really only wanted cereal and there was no option for a smaller breakfast.

A cozy and nice hotel in the middle of the town. Soundproofing is good so outside noises are nicely blocked out. A good amount of space in the room and the room prices are not bad.

Hotel is nice, clean, check in is in the opposite side of the street in the stadhotel "Partizer", internet is very very bad, if you have your German mobile you can manage with your 4g, but if you are foreigner-would not be suitable, breakfast is fresh a good. Last weekend we had a small family celebration with an overnight stay. It was a nice evening with delicious food and drinks. We felt well taken care of. Familie hotel. Pool is not very clean but big. There is a safe guard present. It is a big hotel and to liitle staff. If you want to an order a drink you have to wait 30 min. because there are to may guest and not enough waiters. Perhaps nice for family with kids but not for business

Food was good and the service very good. Very friendly service and they will try to accommodate your needs. We ordered some combinations of ingredients to get a meal for our kids and very much tried to get that on our table. Disadvantage is not being able to pay with cards and the closest atm is a 10 min drive by car.

If you want to explore the castle of Wartburg this is THE place to stay. Very romantic and beautiful location with views of the Thüringer forest. Nice room with the authentic feeling of being in a castle. Good restaurant offering local specialities. The staff helped with transportation of luggage from the parking lot to the hotel which is on top of a very steep hill.
