We very much enjoyed our stay and will come back. The Spa and Wellness areas are excellent. Beautiful location close to the Black Forest National Park. Food and restaurant are impressive, the kitchen party was fun.

The hotel stay was very pleasant. Has it is located in a quiet and secluded area with a small stream. The rooms are comfortably furnished. Tv dvd player kettle coffee machine. I received a friendly welcome from the boss and every one of my wishes was fulfilled. A big compliment to the management.

We were here on New Year's Eve. The reception was very nice and our room was shown to us and everything explained. A nice little hotel in vintage style. The rooms have everything you need. Some with balcony. The owner has recently taken over the hotel and is very concerned about his guests and tries to fulfill every wish. There is a small elevator so that people with disabilities can reach the upper floors. The breakfast buffet is well stocked and sufficient. Eggs are fresh, so they are still hot at the table....

Nestled away from all traffic and surrounded by forest, adorned with a beautiful wooded park that can be enjoyed as well as the 1500m2 of SPA and swimming pool area. Very nice and personable hosts. Our room was super clean and that goes for the entire house. Our palates were delighted with the meal and the house dessert was a stunner. My family and I are returning after Christmas with the family Schmelzle. I opted for the venison medallions with homemade dumplings and cranberries. Absolutely excellent, authentic, and traditional black forest cuisine. The price-performance ratio is absolutely fair. Highly recommended.

I worked in the kitchen for a year at the Birkenhof with the Sieber family. Mr. and Mrs. Sieber are very social, nice and competent bosses. The Birkenhof has been beautifully renovated for people with disabilities. I felt like family. I really enjoyed the work. I like to think back to that time. Nice, clean and affordable hotel specially if you get an offer of 2 rooms together. However, WiFi was only available in the reception not inside rooms. The three of us came completely wet and dirty from a mountain bike tour. We would still be offered a place independently. The hostess? showed us a room where we could change. Much of this hotel is quality, but certain details let it down. It does not cater well for children, as the clientele is older generally. There is a slaughterhouse opposite the hotel which slaughters pigs and the noise is quite disturbing. The half board does not include children, so costs can escalate. Most loungers by the pool are reserved all day. Free drinks are limited, only full sugar drinks...

Was driving through the Black Forest when I saw this lodge on the side of the road, just what I was looking for. It turned out to be the best decision I made the whole trip. Great atmosphere, even better food. A 5-star resort tucked away in the hills, a true diamond in the rough.

Tranquility in the midst of the forest and next to a sizable natural pond with swans. Perfect for nature lover and a relaxing stay or to explore the surroundings. Restaurant is great, very nice service and very good food. I had a pleasant stay with my family and ended up extending our stay.

Best place for dinner in southwest Germany. The regional food is exceptionally good and tasty. I haven't been to a better place for this kind of typical regional and unpretentious food. I don't know about the Hotel but the views on the little lake and the setting seems quite idyllic and typical for the National Park of the Black Forest.

Ok Seems like a nice hotel with good spa facilities. We had a non smoking room, but it stank of cigarettes and the bathroom smelt unclean. The hotel staff didn’t speak any English (I no we were in Germany but basic pleasantries would have been nice) so don’t expect any help. Didn’t complain about the smell in the room as unable to make ourselves understood.

Hotel Teuchelwald is a wonderful place to stay. It is built on a Hill with greeny Parks and flowers. It has a hot swimming pool. An excellent Kirchen and bar with the best rooms. Perfect place to stay in Freudenstadt.

Recently stayed here for three nights. Great location, great service and room. Free/convenient parking was also a plus. The manager was also very helpful in helping plan activities while at the hotel. Finally, ate dinner at the onsite restaurant twice and was very happy with the food and service. Definitely recommend for anyone in the area.

This stay was so much more than my family expected. Super cute building, cozy rooms, free parking, great breakfast spread, and unmatched hospitality. My husband and I stayed here with our baby to explore the Black Forest and Strasbourg Christmas Markets and it worked out perfectly. We can’t wait to stay here again.

Significant money has been spent recently on this place. The dining area is absolutely gorgeous with no expense spared and the breakfast was lovely. The rooms have been tastefully updated to high quality standards and it's a very peaceful setting at night. It's only a 3 or 4 minute drive into the center of town

Wow, wow, wow. I would not have known that I would find a hidden gem like this hotel! Service is amazing, they really go out of their way to make me feel comfortable. My motorbike can be stalled safe in their garage. Rooms are nicely done and very comfortable. But then their food!! I really enjoyed this one. The hotel has a great location, it's a 10 minute walk into the centre. There are ample parking spaces available. The room was spacious but lacked amenities like coffee or tea making. The breakfast wasn't the most outstanding, but it was ok. You had your normal choices of bread, jams, cheese, and meat.

Very warm and helpful staff, nice room with a beautiful view of the Renchtal, very good food, large outdoor terrace and beautiful walks in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. The hotel is a few minutes' walk from the beautiful historic center.

Pros: fair price, good WiFi speed, complimentary mini bar, nice staff Cons: need to pay 10 euros to park on site, windows are extremely thin and you can hear all the highway traffic (even on the 6th floor)

2 years old in a converted council tower block this is from first appearances turn up and drive away quicker than you arrived, but it was late in the day. This is truly a memorable hotel. funky decor in reception and rooms. massive comfy beds and a whopper of a TV very cool atmospheric lighting free movies and free fridge. no kettle so lucky we had our travelling one and tea bags. free pool tables...

The breakfast is absolutely sufficient, every day fresh rolls / breads, muesli, spreads, eggs, juices, yogurt etc .. The only thing I missed here was soda.
