Holiday Inn - the niu, Crusoe Bremen Airport, an IHG Hotel

I would like to share poor experience with this hotel 2 section.

First one: poor staff
I got yelled at by the hotel staff.
I have never received as poor service from any staff as here.

Secondly: poor service
I have to booking one room included breakfast.

1. I showed my reservation that I had made in advance, but the staff didn't care.

2. The reception staff were not willing to help and did not check the details and benefits of the room reservation, such as which floor the room was on or whether the room included breakfast.

3. No explanation or information about the hotel facilities, such as not suggesting where the elevator is and where the dining

4. The key card that allowed me to open the room didn't work. I had to come down and change it.

Everything goes well until checking out. There is a very rude female staff, she definitely doesn’t respect customers. The management should reconsider if the right person is recruited for this hospitality business!

We stayed at the niu Crusoe hotel in Bremen for one night from 05.08.23 to 06.08.2023. The standard of the hotel did not meet our expectations based on the price and advertisement for the hotel.

First off, there was no information in the mail or during online booking about the paid parking, and once we got there the parking was full. There was also little information about alternative parking, and we ended up parking a kilometer away, and had to walk in the rain.

The first encounter with the receptionist was not inviting. We received little to no information about our stay and the check in took an unnecessarily long time. Our second encounter with the same receptionist, we were completely ignored for 15 minutes, until another came and helped us. In general, none of the receptionist were particularly welcoming.

After a shower, we noticed that one of the towels was dirty. It had stains that looked like blood. The shower door could not be sealed properly, so water poured out onto the bathroom floor and exceeded into the hallway. Otherwise, the bathroom was great.

First impressions of the room was that it was clean and tidy. The hotel should maybe consider adding something comfortable to sit on. The pillows were awful, with barely any stuffing. The sheets were coarse/rough material.

We paid for breakfast but regretted it immensely. Terrible coffee. There were little to no lean protein sources, the only clean protein source was eggs, but they were stale and overcooked. Mostly they served sugary treats, and unhealthy, non tasty options.

We sent an email to the niu Crusoe informing them of our concerns, and to give them a chance to respond prior to the review being posted. They chose not to answer.
