Small but nice hotel, unfortunately due to Covid restrictions the SPA and the swimming pool was not available

Great hotel. The breakfast was super. Despite the fact that we are usually not big meat ball fans we absolutely loved them there. Also worth mentioning is the great selection of cheeses. The room we had was perfect for a family of 5 (which can be a challenge). Staff was very friendly (especially to our kids). The location is great for visiting the huge Christmas market

Stayed there for only 12 hours because my flight got cancelled. It was a nice hotel near a plaza with lots of restaurants and other shops. The room was clean and well furnished.

We were pleasantly surprised, about everything. The friendliness of the staff. The design, the location, the restaurant where you could enjoy Italian cuisine in peace and quiet, for decent prices. The portions were also reduced for me, on request. Awesome. For dessert you must try the Cassata Siciliana. Too good.

Looks old fashioned but very decent hotel. Very good food. Staff is extremely friendly and flexible also in unexpected circumstances. Rooms are very clean. Sauna is good.

Room was nice and clean. We wanted to have dinner at the restaurant to find it was already closed at 9 pm on a saturday night when the hotel info provided in the room said 10 pm. Check in staff was super sweet and accommodating.

Breakfast was very good and luckily served until 10:30 a.m. because it was school holidays. The room was nice, too, although a bit small, but we had booked the cheapest category. However, we chose this hotel because of the pool and sauna. The pool was broken and unusable. The sauna is actually available from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., but you have to call ahead or wait half an hour to use it in the morning...

Nice room with practical furniture, comfortable bed, sufficient lighting and a nice bathroom. Nice extras such as coffee, water and refrigerator in the room. Also no shortage of power outlets. Entrance hall room is an extra asset.

Everything was good and I am at all satisfied

The hotel was very good, but the waitress/receptionist at the breakfast buffet was very inhospitable. You didn't feel welcome, more like a supplicant. Typically German, always with the didactic, raised index finger. It was a shame, it ruined my day and from then on I only went into the city for breakfast.

You should expect a regular Mercure Hotel. Nothing too fancy but serving its purpose. I booked accommodation and car parking for 14 days. The price value was extremely good. Regardless I didn’t expect the taxi costs to the airport (10-15 mins) to be between 40-50€ per way. Could have booked the DUS airport parking instead for less money. But my fault in doing enough research.

Well. Let say we have been to several Van der valk hotels, and this one is not so good for us. The room was fine with balcony except it was not safe if you wanted to have the door open. Plus, smokers-was allowed on the balcony.

We only stopped here to make use of the Tesla superchargers. All of us urgently had to use the bathroom which was no problem! Lovely lady at the reception desk showed us the way. We were able to play some foosball and go for a walk near the river and lake. Beautiful place both inside and outside.

It’s a nice ,clean, quiet and comfortable place. The only downside is the tv’s in the room’s are outdated. I was really enjoying the food,Eduardo head chef, and his team have surprised us with their modern and, above all, exquisite cuisine. Furthermore, the chef did visit our table and we thank him for that.

We had room 143. The safe was broken, the air conditioning didn't work on a very hot weekend. The shower water took ages to drain away. The maid just knocked & came in even though we had a do not disturb sign on the door. Its out in the middle of no where, so not very convenient for anything apart from the golf course next door. very good, old fashion school hotel. yet, all the facilities have been upgraded to meet today's regulatory requirements. I enjoyed water based heating radiators in the room. Many other hotels these days opted to install efficient ventilation systems that blow a dry hot air. The old heating system is much better if compared with that one of this new technology. It makes a guest feel home.

The rooms were very big and beautiful, but the bed for the kids was very uncomfortable and noisy. The breakfast buffet was amazing, there were so many things to choose of and it was super delicious. With the check-in we had some problems because we couldn't open the door with our cards. There is a hot steam bath but it only opens from 3 p.m. which is a bit late.

In general the stay was better than expected. Just two details: actually the location is not in active zone of the city, and the rooms vere much too hot for us Finns. As said, everything else was just marvellous.

Very nice hotel with good location and friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast!

A little bit in the middle of nowhere. Outside of Ratingen. Restaurants and cafes only accessible by bus or car. Breakfast and facilities adequate for a 4-star hotel. No possibility of eating outside.

Restaurant not open for dinner, we have to walk and find something to eat. Neighborhood seems unsafe. The staff was eager to help despite the language barrier. She doesn’t speak English, we don’t speak German.

Property was fine, great for a layover or being somewhat close to the airport. Not much around this hotel if you are looking for things to do witjin walking distance.

It was a rather "meh" experience. We had booked 4 rooms. In our room, we did not have soap in the shower, and only a little bit in the bathroom. One of the other rooms did not have warm water in the shower. The breakfast buffet could have been better, as it did not have croissants/pains au chocolat.

Super fast wifi, free parking, super breakfast. But, loud and very simple rooms. Not a 4 star location. Very clean and not bad.

Great hotel, and the service is amazing, we got an upgrade wich made the trip fantastic! Breakfast have a lot to choose from and taste good. Some of the food tasted a little weird, I belive they used some from earlier days.

Kind of far from everything that I do want to visit in Dusseldorf (about 45ish mins away) and also they gave us no complimentary coffee or even water! But otherwise it was clean and nice and the room even came with a bathtub

The hotel is very quiet, even though it is close to the airport. The rooms and bathrooms are very spacious, everything is a bit dated. But we felt comfortable. Breakfast was included in the hotel price and a great buffet awaited us in the morning, very good attentive service for coffee, etc. The rolls were actually crispy. We would gladly go back!

The environment is average and convenient for travel!

The room was big and clean. But there was no air conditioning. It was very hot during the day, but it was cooler at night. It's hard to imagine that there are still hotels without air conditioning in 2023.

We were given 4 bed (2 doubles) room in 4th floor for our 2 nights family stay. To get to our room in a lift you must to use physical metal key (given together with room key) but reception never bothered to tell us what extra key is for... otherwise lift will get you to second floor only, as there is no button to press for 4th floor. Very weird... in room there is a safe which we would like to...

Small but clean modern rooms, good internet and room service. There is a coffee machine in the room. There were coffee capsules and tea bags. The room was small as other reviews have mentioned but clean and modern. There is a supermarket right next to the hotel and it is a 10-15 minute walk to the centre, there is also a tram and bus stop nearby. The staff could have been a bit more friendly but overall...

Modern and clean interior. Friendly staff and great breakfast buffet (18€ is pricey though). Location is ideal with a lot of buses and tramways across the road. Rooms are quiet and room keeping is very attentive.

The rooms could have a bit cleaner - mainly talking about the floor. The shower and the bed furniture seems quite run down and broken. Location - I had a room to the back and did not hear any noise. Also its quite central and easy access to anything you might need!

Nice clean hotel, good value for money, helpful reception staff.

Great and clean room for family with young kids. Great location with nearby food shop, buses and sushi restaurant. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Enjoyed their comfortable bed with breakfast buffet for 15€ which is worth it. Only 4 stars due not been clean under the bed. Hotel close to Düsseldorf airport.

Very cute hotel in a very charming plaza. The room was cozy and comfortable. The hotel restaurant is very good with amazing food and service. The hotel staff is amazing, paramount and super nice and ready to help you when you need it and I needed it.

I was looking forward to the spa, but unfortunately there was no hot water. The hotel itself is very clean, and the location and transportation options are not bad. However, the amenities are lacking. For example, I don't have pajamas, and I don't have a toothbrush or toothpaste. Only towels and body soap were provided. It's a beautiful and affordable hotel, but the downside is that it looks like it...

Good hotel, friendly, nice jacuzz and gym area. They should open the sauna earlier in the day. Rooms clean and reasonable sized, good strong shower even on the higher floors. Will stay again when we are in Ratingen. Very good connection by bus to the Düsseldorf Airport.
