Where to stay in Duisburg

Small but nice hotel, unfortunately due to Covid restrictions the SPA and the swimming pool was not available

Great hotel. The breakfast was super. Despite the fact that we are usually not big meat ball fans we absolutely loved them there. Also worth mentioning is the great selection of cheeses. The room we had was perfect for a family of 5 (which can be a challenge). Staff was very friendly (especially to our kids). The location is great for visiting the huge Christmas market

Stayed there for only 12 hours because my flight got cancelled. It was a nice hotel near a plaza with lots of restaurants and other shops. The room was clean and well furnished.

Nice hotel in very good position if you need the train. Good breakfast and rooms. Parking on the ground floor. Medium prices. Near the center.

Great staff, good breakfast, just missing a coffee station and iron in the room. They will bring you coffee, but I like being able to make my own! 5min walk to nearest train station, and shopping mall

Facilities: Old but good Sanitation: Good and clean Environment: Very good. There is a tram station next to it. The soundproofing is also good. It is a 10-minute drive from the airport. We were pleasantly surprised, about everything. The friendliness of the staff. The design, the location, the restaurant where you could enjoy Italian cuisine in peace and quiet, for decent prices. The portions were also reduced for me, on request. Awesome. For dessert you must try the Cassata Siciliana. Too good.

The stay was very pleasant, the rooms were very well maintained and clean, the facilities were great, the beds were very comfortable. The food in the restaurant on the ground floor was superb, we had dinner and a breakfast buffet in the morning. The buffet left nothing to be desired. The room was very large and comfortable, unfortunately it was a bit too cold for the terrace at the beginning of April...

Great hotel, Andreas Kurth was super and offered us a super service. Everything was already prepared before we arrived. Breakfast was very good. I recommend this hotel to you all.

Schönes Hotel in verkehrsgünstiger Lage.

Looks old fashioned but very decent hotel. Very good food. Staff is extremely friendly and flexible also in unexpected circumstances. Rooms are very clean. Sauna is good.

Zuerst: ich habe NICHT im Regent übernachtet, sondern bin aufs Schwesterhotel Plaza umgebucht worden. Das Plaza hat einen höheren Standard (4 Sterne), aber ich habe den Regent-Preis (3 Sterne) bezahlt. Das Plaza ist natürlich toll, ich mag beide Hotels und steige immer wieder dort ab. Cons: No air conditioning Water pressure very low Room was small 32 steps from level 2 elevator to level 2 room! not easy with suitcases. Pros: Very close to train station Rooms have been renovated Hotel was overall quiet and peaceful Wifi had good speed in my room. check-in and checkout was hassle free

Spent 3 nights here, very friendly staff, great breakfast & a clean & comfortable room. Close to city centre with good bars & restaurants. If you like Thai food go to Nuh's about 40 metres across the square, its fantastic😊

We stayed here some nights during a fair in Essen. The rooms are small and way overpriced. Breakfast is good, starting from 5 am. I one of my rooms the glass door in the shower did not close, the water tap in the sink was loose. Staff did not recognize this. Positive is that local Trains leave just opposite of the hotel. This Hotel is not my favorite one.

The price is very good, clean rooms, and the hotel staff are very helpful and kind. I rented an apartment with them that was large and clean, and its location is very nice.

family run business, very friendly staff, small sauna & swimming pool in the basement. nice quiet area away from city center. make sure to check out the sandwich shop next door (black bull) - super good food (also mega desserts!).

I was only there for a day, but the staff was really friendly and helpful. I was lucky enough to get the top floor room, which is quite spacious. I would give them 5 stars , compared to value for money but unfortunately the WiFi signal wasnt strong enough to cover the 3rd floor so I had to use the lobby for work.

Fantastic way to spend a night (or more) in Duisburg. Perfectly located close to the city centre. The Lore has very tasteful decor, was super cosy & well equipped. Locatie was super, 5 minuten lopen van het centrum van Duisburg. We gingen er heen voor de kerstmarkt en dat was een leuke happening. Ontvangst was erg gezellig, Axel lacht de hele tijd en gaf ons goede info voor een ontspannen verblijf.

Everything else, Axel was fantastic upon arrival, it was very clean, ipod preloaded with songs, amazing to sit outside with a coffee and watch the sunrise. Even a perfect backdrop if you need a new profile picture! It was such a nice experience and we'll 100% return when next in the area. Thank you!

A perfect experience! Very friendly staff! The food in the hotel is perfect. The room was also very clean. Very safe hotel you can only enter with your card a really good thing. Even though this hotel might look like a business hotel I really enjoyed it with my family.

Been positively surprised. The rooms are cozy and large enough for a workout 😁 They serve a small buffet for lunch and dinner with a choice for everyone. Their Tiramisu was amazing 👌🏽

Room was nice and clean. We wanted to have dinner at the restaurant to find it was already closed at 9 pm on a saturday night when the hotel info provided in the room said 10 pm. Check in staff was super sweet and accommodating.

Breakfast was very good and luckily served until 10:30 a.m. because it was school holidays. The room was nice, too, although a bit small, but we had booked the cheapest category. However, we chose this hotel because of the pool and sauna. The pool was broken and unusable. The sauna is actually available from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., but you have to call ahead or wait half an hour to use it in the morning...

Nice room with practical furniture, comfortable bed, sufficient lighting and a nice bathroom. Nice extras such as coffee, water and refrigerator in the room. Also no shortage of power outlets. Entrance hall room is an extra asset.

Everything was good and I am at all satisfied

The hotel was very good, but the waitress/receptionist at the breakfast buffet was very inhospitable. You didn't feel welcome, more like a supplicant. Typically German, always with the didactic, raised index finger. It was a shame, it ruined my day and from then on I only went into the city for breakfast.

Great services, comfort and space are great from room to bathroom. Breakfast amazing 🙏🏻 Body soap and shampoo were missing but that's fine. Didn't try the swimming pool but I would love to.

It's a very old hotel. The breakfast is pretty good. It's about 10 minutes' walk from the train station.

We've booked a last-minute for one night and we were directed to the side building. A bit shabby on the outside but what an awesome suite on the inside: very spacious, excellent finished, nice bathroom, excellent WiFi. Also the breakfast didn't disappoint at all: various choice, even after 10:00 they resupplied the fresh fruit salads! A real recommendation!

Perfectly nice hotel for a couple of nights if for some odd reason you have something to attend to in Duisburg. The rooms are clean and fairly new, beds are firm and comfy, rain shower in the morning gorgeous. Public transport in the immediate vicinity, so are some food and drink options. A scooter ride along the canal (if you're lucky you even get a room with a view onto the water) away the better...

Visited with a large group of colleagues midweek. This hotel was chosen due to its location and affordable prices. The rooms were very basic: a bed, a bathroom and a small clothes rail, that’s it. However, the room was very clean, comfortable and quiet and perfectly fine as somewhere for a quick break as long as you aren’t expecting any luxuries. There were very few staff, leading to a long wait...

Yes, the staff are friendly too. The best choice for one night stay, close to the train station. Turn right when you exit the station. You don't have to wait until 3pm, you can check in if there is a room available before 3pm.

The hotel is very close to Duisburg Train Station. It is very convenient to get to the hotel right outside the train station. There are also supermarkets and restaurants nearby, so you don’t have to walk far to buy things and eat.

Staff at check-in was not friendly. Towels had stains in them. Airconditioning was horrible

I didn't want to change it for the weekend because I had to take the train here on Monday, so I stayed one more night. It is very convenient to the train station. There is a big square in front, with many blacks or Turks. I was a little worried about the danger, but the front desk said it was safe. No problem

The room was average, but the location was convenient. The front desk was Turkish and didn't speak good English. And because of the pricing issue on Cyril, they asked me for the price difference, but I didn't give it to them, but the communication was very troublesome. Not a good experience

Not really a nice hotel, but practical and convenient for those who want to be close (next door) to the train station. Rooms are small, clean but a bit out dated. The tv in the room is a big Samsung with a good selection of international channels. Breakfast was ok.
