Where to stay in Duisburg

Great hotel, good location. Excellent beds and equally important, a great shower.

The hotel is very good central in Duisburg. Lot of night actives are very close. The rooms was very clean and the view was also nice.

Best one, clean, comfy, very good hygiene standard when it comes to covid, felt safe in it.

A little “off the beaten track” but that is also rather positive. Beautifully located on the lake. Great rooms. Price-performance ratio is great.

Great hotel, Andreas Kurth was super and offered us a super service. Everything was already prepared before we arrived. Breakfast was very good. I recommend this hotel to you all.

Schönes Hotel in verkehrsgünstiger Lage.

Looks old fashioned but very decent hotel. Very good food. Staff is extremely friendly and flexible also in unexpected circumstances. Rooms are very clean. Sauna is good.

Clean rooms and friendly staff, decent prices

Been positively surprised. The rooms are cozy and large enough for a workout 😁 They serve a small buffet for lunch and dinner with a choice for everyone. Their Tiramisu was amazing 👌🏽

Room was nice and clean. We wanted to have dinner at the restaurant to find it was already closed at 9 pm on a saturday night when the hotel info provided in the room said 10 pm. Check in staff was super sweet and accommodating.

The hotel was very clean nice ,the breakfast was brilliant,we didnt have eni problem evrithing was good,only we are littelbit not happy with the sauna and pool that's why we bought a hotel so that we could freshen up a bit but it was closed.

We booked this hotel specifically for the pool. It was unfortunately out of order. Apparently this happens more often. It was fixed the next day but no one told us so we missed a chance for a morning swim. Breakfast was ok. Coffee could be better. Kids were hoping for bacon.

It's a reasonable hotel if you don’t look for too much luxury. For us, we only needed to sleep in a clean place, and location was important. This hotel exactly gives this to you. On the other hand, I would like their breakfast to offer more things like croissants, peanut butter, etc. Also, they should have an agreement with the parking garage under the hotel for a better price for the hotel guests

The price is very good, clean rooms, and the hotel staff are very helpful and kind. I rented an apartment with them that was large and clean, and its location is very nice.

family run business, very friendly staff, small sauna & swimming pool in the basement. nice quiet area away from city center. make sure to check out the sandwich shop next door (black bull) - super good food (also mega desserts!).

Visit Wyndham for business. First impressions were good. Check in, filling out a lot of paperwork, must be done! Rooms are nice and clean. The elevator 🛗 needs to be serviced or had it’s best time 😳. Visit the bar before dinner, friendly staff. But after return from dinner at 10pm bar was already closed 🤔, no “nightcap”. Strange that bar closes so early. My team and I wanted to recap the day! Had an awesome wedding party with top service and top food in a perfectly clean and beautiful hotel.

The hotel is still in the spirit of old times, it isn't renovated. The rooms are clean and the stuff is very friendly. The breakfast is also very nice.

The hotel building and lobby were impressive and breakfast was excellent. Staff were not particularly friendly - information had to be requested. My room on the top floor was small, and I couldn't see out of the window unless I stood on the bed. There was a strange smell. The bed was comfortable and the shower fine. My friend's room on the second floor was much more impressive. There is no swimming...

Not really a nice hotel, but practical and convenient for those who want to be close (next door) to the train station. Rooms are small, clean but a bit out dated. The tv in the room is a big Samsung with a good selection of international channels. Breakfast was ok.

Top service very clean room

Great hotel. The breakfast was super. Despite the fact that we are usually not big meat ball fans we absolutely loved them there. Also worth mentioning is the great selection of cheeses. The room we had was perfect for a family of 5 (which can be a challenge). Staff was very friendly (especially to our kids). The location is great for visiting the huge Christmas market

Stayed there for only 12 hours because my flight got cancelled. It was a nice hotel near a plaza with lots of restaurants and other shops. The room was clean and well furnished.

Great staff, good breakfast, just missing a coffee station and iron in the room. They will bring you coffee, but I like being able to make my own! 5min walk to nearest train station, and shopping mall

I got a room with 2 balcony. Good panorama of Duisburg and the River. From the bad I see the Rhine River.

We enjoyed the stay in the hotel very much. Wonderful view on the river. Hotel area is not particularly beautiful (industrial area)but offers plenty of opportunities for walks. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. An issue in the room was solved immediately. Breakfast and dinner was good. Enough reasons to return in future.

Spacious room with large bathroom. Very confortable. Very clean. Helpfull and friendly staff.

A bit far away from the city center and also the nearest tram stop is around 400m. The area is not with a lot of shops or restaurants. One thing I have to say is that the restaurant Loewe who manages this hotel serves one of the best veggie burger and their own Loewe fries. It is a must try.

Spacious room, bed and pillows were good. Bathroom was good as well, shower was warm and had enough power. Downside, the room got warm very fast, although it was only +-16 degrees out. With the window open there was quite some noise as the hotel is situated next to a busy street. The check in and out were in hotel Lowe because of construction, this was however only communicated in German writing on...

Zuerst: ich habe NICHT im Regent übernachtet, sondern bin aufs Schwesterhotel Plaza umgebucht worden. Das Plaza hat einen höheren Standard (4 Sterne), aber ich habe den Regent-Preis (3 Sterne) bezahlt. Das Plaza ist natürlich toll, ich mag beide Hotels und steige immer wieder dort ab. Das Bad in DIESEM Zimmer im Plaza war so groß wie in anderen Hotels das Einzelzimmer. Auch ist man endlich soweit wie...

Was fine

Cons: No air conditioning Water pressure very low Room was small 32 steps from level 2 elevator to level 2 room! not easy with suitcases. Pros: Very close to train station Rooms have been renovated Hotel was overall quiet and peaceful Wifi had good speed in my room. check-in and checkout was hassle free

Spent 3 nights here, very friendly staff, great breakfast & a clean & comfortable room. Close to city centre with good bars & restaurants. If you like Thai food go to Nuh's about 40 metres across the square, its fantastic😊

We held our 40th anniversary military reunion there. The staff, from the manager down to the chambermaids were excellent. No request was too onerous. From allowing us to fly our flag from their flagpoles to sourcing a breathing machine, as one of the group who suffers with severe obstructive sleep apnoea had left their machine in the UK. We stayed here some nights during a fair in Essen. The rooms are small and way overpriced. Breakfast is good, starting from 5 am. I one of my rooms the glass door in the shower did not close, the water tap in the sink was loose. Staff did not recognize this. Positive is that local Trains leave just opposite of the hotel. This Hotel is not my favorite one.

We've booked a last-minute for one night and we were directed to the side building. A bit shabby on the outside but what an awesome suite on the inside: very spacious, excellent finished, nice bathroom, excellent WiFi. Also the breakfast didn't disappoint at all: various choice, even after 10:00 they resupplied the fresh fruit salads! A real recommendation!

Beautiful hotel, unique service, nice boss and good mattresses, what more could you want? We look forward to our next stop in Duisburg and will come back to the Hotel Zum Iron!
