This Hotel is about 2 miles outside the town and close to the Bodensee. There is parking in front of the hotel and the hotel is currently undergoing a major extension which will provide underground parking. The hotel and the wellness area are nothing special. In fact, from the photos on the booking the expectation was that the room was in the modern part of the hotel, but unfortunately this was not the case. The staff wasn’t overly friendly and helpful either. The room had several damages but was quiet which was appreciated. There is an outside bike stand with metal hooks for locking.

This is a hotel which clearly holds itself to a very high standard, but which fell flat is some basic ways. The booking covered multiple rooms in the Hofhaus and Stammhaus, so we saw more of the hotel than most. Hotel Maier was fit for a one-night stopover. Room was extremely dated. Glad there was air conditioning. Walls were very thin, could hear the TV from another room at 5am. You had to book the steam room in advance. This wasn't conveyed to us so when my partner went to the steam room, it was off. Mr. Leobilla who was our waiter was great. The female waitress was good too. Receptionists were friendly as well.

This was my third or fourth stay at Hotel Maier but my first since the new extension was built. I had a room in the extension which was, obviously, modern and very clean. It had everything you could realistically hope for and was very quiet. The extension has also created an underground car park where I was able to securely park my motorcycle for the night. Beautiful location! Right on the lake. Professional and helpful front desk staff. Excellent breakfast. Housekeeping was very reluctant to provide bathroom toiletries and we had to ask them to replenish them. Very clean room, comfortable bed and linens. WE very much enjoyed our stay! The location is just perfect and the views of the lake are like the nicest wallpaper you've ever seen. The room was ok for my needs -business trip-, although the distribution was strange and not so comfortable for a 4 stars hotel. Worst part was the restaurant: closed for private events most of the time and overpriced when we were able to get a table. Delicious breakfast on the other hand.

Beautiful little town and lovely hotel. Only thing to know is the car park is either couple of min walk away @€7.50 or maybe 10min walk away for the free one. Other than that it’s all good!

Nice hotel right on the lake. The staff is very attentive and well organized. The breakfast is also very good. Also highly recommended is the extensive buffet, dining area and cocktail bar. Clean rooms, as is the whole house.

The room in the so-called country house with balcony and lake view was perfect for a short break. For a longer stay you should book a slightly larger room. The Penthouse SPA was amazing. The view from the sauna or relaxation area on Lake Constance was priceless. The breakfast was varied and offered something for every taste.

Modern hotel conveniently located right at the port of Langenargen/Bodensee. We loved our room and the view was fantastic. Everything was very clean and tidy. The delicious breakfast and food in the restaurant are highly recommended. Special compliments to the staff who were very friendly and helpful. Thank you for a great holiday with you! Awesome hotel with very spacious family rooms. Just across the street from lake, which made for an excellent swim.

Whilst the facilities here are undoubtedly of very high quality , a standard camping pitch in July is a cramped affair. The rows of campers with very little space to call their own stand in stark contrast to the pictures of luxury facilities.

Trained there, very nice holiday, with camping, farm shop, sauna etc... good suggestions from Dr Hauschka....

We were very comfortable. Recommended in any case. Excellent food, beautiful room with water bed. The whole area is in very good condition, the staff is pleasant, friendly and competent. Always welcome.

Recommended From the (stated) renovation measures there were hardly any restrictions (still), at least no noise etc. . Due to the corona pandemic there is currently no breakfast buffet, but there are 4 options to choose from the night before. The rooms were clean and functional. The staff is very friendly. The campsite infrastructure, such as the swimming pool, can also be used.

A quiet, small accommodation with a very good price/performance ratio. Everything was neat and clean, the staff was very friendly and attentive. There isn't much going on in town at this time of year (end of November).

We were warmly welcomed by Denis. The breakfast was good and coffee and rolls were immediately added if there was nothing left. The rooms were clean and tidy. Beautiful bike tours to Lindau, Bregenz, etc. are possible and beautiful from the location

A small, quiet guesthouse on a side street. The room is clean and cozy. The welcome from Denis was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was completely sufficient and care was always taken to ensure that there was enough of everything. Thank you for the wonderful stay.

I was there with my girlfriend. The atmosphere was nice and the music very calming. The beds were soft and the staff friendly and welcoming. I would definitely book this hotel again. The Bodensee was magnificent, even though the weather was not so pleasant. 👍🏻

Our room was very nice (in a garden house) and quiet. Everything is new and clean. For breakfast and dinner you could sit on a well-kept terrace (as an option in the restaurant). Excellent location. It's a few steps away from the pier. All kinds of restaurants and shops around you. A big supermarket is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Good clean room with enough space. Good breakfast. It was a pleasant 11 day business stay.

I reserved this hotel 5 months in advance to arrive n hour before check in to be placed in the wrong down graded room and was told they were sorry but they are over booked and it’s all they could do. A great weekend place or longer stay The hotel is in an excellent spot in Friedrichshafen. We had a beautiful room that was well appointed with lots of extras that American travelers are accustomed to: refrigerator, coffee maker, plenty of towels. The properties well maintained. The hotel felt secure.

For FAKUMA show only, Just good location, that is it. Be careful for the rate when they quote to you, which was not correct! Better to reserve from Trip.com instead their front desk at all!

A bit old but clean and decently modern rooms

Our stay was excellent, we enjoyed the quiet, clean and roomy conditions. We’ll definitely come back and recommend this hotel.

Not very convenient! Far from the station

The room is big and clean, with a balcony. The breakfast is great. The downside is that it is a bit far from the city center, but you can take a taxi for 10 euros or take the 50-meter-long landratsamt to Friedrichshafen stadt. There is also a large supermarket at the door. The receptionist was very enthusiastic to help with the car delivery and luggage storage, which is very good, I think.

Conditions at hotel are ok but check in process is a nightmare. No front desk. We have to use entry panel. We have follwed to the instruction but can't walk inside. Have to call to very unpleased lady and after phone, somehow, key felt down from drawer. After 30min process with nerves we walked in to room.

Very misleading A very missleading stay from what is advertised. There is a spa although you have to pay €19.50pp to use it. The “hot tub” in the spa is just a 1 person jacuzzi bath which you must also buy on top of the spa costs. At night all the heating was turned off so it was very cold. Room was clean and quiet though. all the machines for coffee etc only take coins so make sure you bring plenty...

Lodged here for a short time as it was fair priced and not too far away from the places I had in mind. Check in is really 24 hours ( key box ). Interior ( carpets for instance ) could be better but considering the price it was okay. On-site parking is additional 5 EUR and off-site parking spaces are rare. The actual location which can be noisy. Staff was friendly.

I give this hotel a three star review, the pros: Room was big and clean Cheap Quick check in Cons: The whole hotel smelt of smoken, the walls are very thin, and the front desk man was very sarcastic and a bit rude.
