On a recent trip to Friedrichshafen, I had to depart my first hotel for being really poor quality. Looking at what else was available, I was drawn to Hotel City Krone via the reviews and good location. I'm glad I did, as my stay was a delight. The hotel has good accommodations, wonderful amenities (do try the wellness area), a friendly and professional staff, and is in a prime and peaceful location, with easy access to plenty of good shops, and entertainment venue, and fine restaurants (I suggest giving s'Wirtshaus am See on the waterfront a try).
I'd like to specifically mention Stefan, who I interacted a few times at the front desk. He was professional, gracious, and accommodating in a manner worthy of praise.
If you happen to visit Friedrichshafen, I highly recommend Hotel City Krone for your stay.

The hotel location was ideal for the city and walk ability. I reserved this hotel 5 months in advance to arrive n hour before check in to be placed in the wrong down graded room and was told they were sorry but they are over booked and it’s all they could do. After speaking with the front desk a little longer I was moved into the correct room I paid for. I nearly paid $1100 for 3 nights and was going to be put in the smaller downgraded room unless I said something which doesn’t feel ethical to me.
The rooms themselves are nice but you get one very flat pillow and which you have to ask for extras and the beds are ROCK hard. Probably wouldn’t stay here again.

hotel has good central location - could be rather more generous with towels - i know protecting planet important but no excuse for poor service only one towel for twin room

We stayed in a Premier plus room and found it light spacious and very quiet. The room was in excellent condition and was very clean. The only downside to the room was that it did not have an elevator on the floor that we were on but we didn't find this a problem. The breakfast is great and there is loads of choice and the breakfast room is big with lots of natural daylight. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. One of the main reasons we booked it was for the spa, which was very clean and had a great pool that was big enough for some short laps in. The location of the hotel is very central but private with reasonably priced parking on site. All in all a great stay.

The hotel has a small parking lot, for a small fee; additionally, there some parking garages close by that are reasonably priced.

A great weekend place or longer stay
The hotel is in an excellent spot in Friedrichshafen. We had a beautiful room that was well appointed with lots of extras that American travelers are accustomed to: refrigerator, coffee maker, plenty of towels. The properties well maintained. The hotel felt secure.

Great hotel with a very nice wellness area in the basement, which covers the entire floor area of the hotel. On the cold days when we were there, we were able to warm up with a ready-made mulled wine in the lobby. We can only recommend it and would definitely come back if our destination was Friedrichshafen.

Fabulous hotel. We stayed in a mezzanine room as a family of four and it was perfect. The service was excellent - free parking for bikes! - and the breakfast out of this world.

The hotel is in a great location and is very clean. The room is small and the shower is very small.
The breakfast of 10 euros per person is very affordable, with a wide variety and a good environment. It is worth recommending
