This Hotel is about 2 miles outside the town and close to the Bodensee. There is parking in front of the hotel and the hotel is currently undergoing a major extension which will provide underground parking. The hotel and the wellness area are nothing special. In fact, from the photos on the booking the expectation was that the room was in the modern part of the hotel, but unfortunately this was not the case. The staff wasn’t overly friendly and helpful either. The room had several damages but was quiet which was appreciated. There is an outside bike stand with metal hooks for locking.

This is a hotel which clearly holds itself to a very high standard, but which fell flat is some basic ways. The booking covered multiple rooms in the Hofhaus and Stammhaus, so we saw more of the hotel than most. Hotel Maier was fit for a one-night stopover. Room was extremely dated. Glad there was air conditioning. Walls were very thin, could hear the TV from another room at 5am. You had to book the steam room in advance. This wasn't conveyed to us so when my partner went to the steam room, it was off. Mr. Leobilla who was our waiter was great. The female waitress was good too. Receptionists were friendly as well.

This was my third or fourth stay at Hotel Maier but my first since the new extension was built. I had a room in the extension which was, obviously, modern and very clean. Our room was very nice (in a garden house) and quiet. Everything is new and clean. For breakfast and dinner you could sit on a well-kept terrace (as an option in the restaurant). The hotel is quite new, with a modern, minimalist style. The rooms are clean and hygienic, and the breakfast is simple but filling, with a limited variety. Parking is convenient, and the hotel also offers a daily pass for local public transportation.

Really good value, located a bit on the outskirts of town but perfect place to stop before heading to Ravensburger Land (20 mins away). It is a new hotel so good sized clean rooms and nice new bathrooms! We had interconnecting rooms at the end of the corridor but there aren’t many of these so make sure to ask in advance.

Excellent location. It's a few steps away from the pier. All kinds of restaurants and shops around you. A big supermarket is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Good clean room with enough space. Good breakfast. It was a pleasant 11 day business stay.

Stayed here for a work trip. Room was reasonably priced and comfortable enough. Bathroom was quite dated and cramped, but good service from the staff and decent breakfast served.

The hotel is perfectly located close to the train station while it's also a quick walk to the promenade on the lake. The room had a good size and was clean. The staff is very friendly and dinner at the restaurant was excellent. Good breakfast buffet. Tip: ask for a north facing room as it won't get as hot and would be quieter. The walls are pretty thin - we heard loud snoring from the other room.

We were cycling around Lake Constance.and had booked to stay here. This is a lovely hotel with a beer garden where we were able to have our evening meal. Lovely rooms and staff. Great value for money.

Very good restaurant with typical German dishes. Price is fair for the quality and quantity. Buildind is a pretty and nice guesthouse located in a hill with view to the lake. Hint: it is good to make a reservation because the place is very often full.

On one of the hottest July days we showed up shortly after 5 p.m. and were rewarded with an empty parking lot and cool biergarten shaded by six old chestnut trees. We orderd quickly, and the food and drink came promptly, accompanied by friendly attentive staff. An hour and a half later, the place was full (we counted at least 48 guests), and more were coming. Families with busy small children, or couples...

Great hotel with modern rooms with balcony and on 2 levels. Very nice and polite staff in the restaurant. Breakfast buffet with plenty of choice and if something was missing it was immediately refilled. We had dinner there 3 times and it was really tasty, I can recommend the pepper steak and fried potatoes.

The proprietor was very welcoming and is also a keen motorcyclist so we had a good conversation. The room was on the top floor and spotlessly clean. I stayed here for one night. The hotel is clean. The self-check-in works well. I thought the breakfast was good. Everything was average quality at a fair price... The pillows could be a bit newer (they were a bit worn). The staff was nice.

A beautiful old villa with a distinct charm. Modern pop art paintings hang throughout the interior. The room on the third floor, without an elevator, is beautifully renovated and equipped with the essentials. The shower is in a corner of the room, and the toilet is outside, next door. One of the best hotel and restaurant at the Bodensee, their food is tasty something tourist must to try, once you been in the area. Their staff are all friendly and attentive, the price is a little bit high compare to other restaurant in the area. But worth to try once in a while.

A great weekend place or longer stay The hotel is in an excellent spot in Friedrichshafen. We had a beautiful room that was well appointed with lots of extras that American travelers are accustomed to: refrigerator, coffee maker, plenty of towels. The properties well maintained. The hotel felt secure.

Not very convenient! Far from the station

The room is big and clean, with a balcony. The breakfast is great. The downside is that it is a bit far from the city center, but you can take a taxi for 10 euros or take the 50-meter-long landratsamt to Friedrichshafen stadt. There is also a large supermarket at the door. The receptionist was very enthusiastic to help with the car delivery and luggage storage, which is very good, I think.

The room was located in an older guesthouse, but was functionally furnished (with a new bathroom), although it lacked air conditioning, which made sleeping a bit more difficult on hot days. Conveniently located within a 10-minute bus ride from the station. Amenities were plentiful, including hand soap, body soap (for hair, face, and body), three types of towels, and a bottle of carbonated water. Conditions at hotel are ok but check in process is a nightmare. No front desk. We have to use entry panel. We have follwed to the instruction but can't walk inside. Have to call to very unpleased lady and after phone, somehow, key felt down from drawer. After 30min process with nerves we walked in to room.

Very misleading A very missleading stay from what is advertised. There is a spa although you have to pay €19.50pp to use it. The “hot tub” in the spa is just a 1 person jacuzzi bath which you must also buy on top of the spa costs. At night all the heating was turned off so it was very cold. Room was clean and quiet though. all the machines for coffee etc only take coins so make sure you bring plenty...

Lodged here for a short time as it was fair priced and not too far away from the places I had in mind. Check in is really 24 hours ( key box ). Interior ( carpets for instance ) could be better but considering the price it was okay. On-site parking is additional 5 EUR and off-site parking spaces are rare. The actual location which can be noisy. Staff was friendly.
