I arrived at the park hotel in Heilbronn at 11:55pm after a long drive from Italy, in hope for a room to sleep in for some well needed rest.
The night porter open the door and told me there were free rooms available, after a longer conversation regarding payments etc, which I did not know much about, within the country of Germany coming from New Zealand.
I was offering to pay cash or by credit card, he somehow proceeded to assume I couldn’t afford it and didn’t like my unfriendly approach sorry that I wasn’t in the best of moods after an 8 hour drive, but a night porter or anybody working within a hotel, should be able to adjust to the guests needs and be able to take a very little mood swing, from someone that is actually very kind, I was offering to pay to stay at the humble house of park hotel Heilbronn only to be told I do not fit into the hotel standards and criteria as I was wearing comfortable clothes from my long drive and not wearing a suit. He judged a book by its cover which is superficial and mean, and was extremely rude. Sad to say that the night Portier lacks the competence of a hotel staff member hence why he probably works nights and doesn’t enjoy having to deal with guests.

We had a good stay. Breakfast wasn’t cheap but lots of healthy and usual delicious choices. Everyone was quick to help us with any needs.

We had planned a surprise visit for my aunts 74th birthday. We had made our arraignments from NY and we had originally booked our stay online at another close by hotel which turned out to be total disaster. It was outdated poorly maintained and undergoing renovations. Their staff kept moving us from one room to another as some of the rooms did not have heat or electricity. My family felt very uncomfortable and we decided to look for another hotel.
We found Parkhotel through google search. The Parkhotel receptionist answered the phone and spoke perfect English. I explained to her my dire situation and she asked for my name and told me that they had rooms available. After a 15 minute drive we arrived at the Parkhotel where we were warmly greeted by the receptionist. My family requested that we view the rooms which the receptionist gladly complied. She took us to the 9th floor and showed us the rooms. I was very surprised at how reasonable their price was considering this was a last minute emergency booking.
The hotel is clean, close to the shops and restaurants. Excellent, professional and friendly service from check in to check out.

The staff at the hotel are lovely. Rooms are a good size and well kept. We had a great view of the city and the location allowed us to visit the Christmas markets which took over the downtown. The hotel is also well located, close to transportation within the city and not far from the railroad station.

Everything was really well executed. Super friendly staff, great amenities, rooms were stylish and comfortable. Loved coming here with our dog. A great stay

This could have been a five star stay, if Parkhotel had communicated the status quo of what a weekend visit here entails (or does not entail). However, both the restaurant and rooftop bar were closed - two key factors for my decision to book here. In 2021, more so than ever, travelers appreciate information in advance. The room is nice and spacious, but a 4 star hotel without an open restaurant/bar is unfortunately NOT travelicious…

I stayed at the Parkhotel for work purposes over the past three months and highly recommend it.
It is a very new hotel and impresses with well designed rooms and facilities as well as excellent service. The restaurant also offers a limited but tasty menu.
The hotel staff went out of their way to make my stay as enjoyable and stress-free as possible. I will definitely be back!
