Hostels in Leipzig

I stayed in this hostel for one night before coming to Berlin. For a hostel, this is really a great place, close to the station, clean, affordable, and has excellent service. I've been to many a&o hostels in Germany, and by far, this is the best one. Thank you for the nice stay and a really special thanks to Andrea at the reception for being really helpful and super nice.

It's a low budget hotel. We had a 8 bed room. Really small bathrooms but it's clean and nice. Breakfast was really nice and stuff is so kind and helpful. 🥰

Stayed here with friends during the Euro 2024. We had two private rooms. If you keep in mind that this is not a hotel but a hostel and you don't come with high expectations then it is okay if you're only looking for a place to sleep otherwise I would look for other places nearby. The rooms are very small with no AC the shower is tiny and although everything is clean but old dated.

The room was satisfactory The bathroom was a little small but was sufficient Breakfast was good, there was plenty of choice but very busy at the weekend. Building site opposite and was noisy at 7.30am Monday. Overhaul value for money, but be wary if you are going Monday to Friday......construction noise may be a problem (although they have earplugs on reception).

Booked a room for four people it had everything we needed and more. Cozy little clean room and felt safe staying there. The staff was so nice and friendly! Twintime approved ✅️

One of the biggest and best hostels I've stayed at. Great service, comfy rooms, and so many amenities. Plus within walking distance of the train station. Highly recommend this place!

I travelled a lot in 2021, and chose always to stay in certain favorite Hotel chain of mine as a Privileged-platinum member customer,here in Germany. But I booked groners for a change. I must now confess it was one of the best decisions i ever made! Never ever have I seen a hostel- hotel that could deliver services that is on par with some of the best hotels that I had stayed at before! My full marks...

Nice hotel for families, with elevator but however INACCESSIBLE for persons with disabiities due to the unnecessarily high thresholds and superheavy doors. With some easy changes this can be improved. This would be nice as there are mainly parking places for disabled here which makes it actually a nice area.

Good points: Great location, friendly staff. Furniture and set up of rooms is functional and well thought-out. Bad points: the rooms with windows to the street are really noisy, lots of ambulances passing by during the night. (I checked out because I couldn't sleep!) Fridge in the kitchen was dirty and stinky. In general I would not use that kitchen. There is no breakfast or lunch possibilities and...

Comfortable hostel with attached bar and only 12 minutes by tram to central station. Some things can improve: beds should be assigned, and management should pay attention what purpose some people stay for (some strange guests spoil the experience and atmosphere for others).

I stayed here for a week and it was perfect! The hostel have a super nice atmosphere in it, everything is clean and comfortable, a lot of space, cool bar and garden, location is great in a cool neighborhood and big park, and really friendly staff :)) totally recommended!

Had a good time. Friendly bunch of peeps working there. Good location; everything in Leipzig is very accessible by bike. Hostel is clean, renovated and fairly large in terms of space. The bathrooms are huge!

It was comfortable, clean, and had all the amenities a good hotel room usually has. They have luggage room, billiard room, a very nice lounge with a well equipped kitchen.

Everything was good. Easy check in. Rooms clean, but I just would like to say something about ladies on the reception. They're just AMAZING! Very helpful and professional. I really appreciate help and all support!

I read before arrival many complaints about the noise, and it is true. There is a big noise, but it gets more quiet around 11. I wouldn't expect any better when the hostel is located in the center of the city on the main "party" street. Other than that the hostel is perfect for the price. Clean and has a nice staff.

Lucked out and got a room overlooking the square outside, so I extended my stay by a night! Really friendly staff, well equipped hostel, and a comfortable bed. Great location in the middle of old town. Easy walk/train/tram/bus/bike to outer suburbs, the public transport here is amazing. Will definitely stay if I come to Leipzig again. The hostel is located in the very city centre, at walking distance from pubs and restaurants. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean and spacious. There is 24h reception. The price was very cheap too! Totally recommended

Lovely hostel. Great service and free breakfast. The breakfast is as good as it can get for the price. You get cereal, bread and a lot more. The beds are great and the bathroom is as clean as could be. It's very nicely located in the centrum of Leipzig and has a good bar associated with it. The bar has nice events like occasional live music and karaoke night.

Very nice Hostel, cozy atmosphere in the rooms and the common areas. Very close to public transports, and affordable prices. Recommend strongly!

Fantastic hostel experience in the Spirit! Thanks to Sebas, Annalena and Clemens for their kindness, dedicated service and easiness. I loved the wood work all over the place, the spiritual essence behind it all, child friendliness, the meditation room and the shoe shining machine hah. I stayed for almost a month and would love to come back for some cool event afterwards!

Our place was super clean (kitchen, room, bathroom and living space) it also had activities room for games, guitar or morning yoga. Big bonus with the tram stop quite literally just outside the front door which leads straight into the city by the main train station. Great location for night life and wandering around the area. Highly recommended go check it out!

Pleasant hostel place. Has character.

The youngest kid of the Leipzig hostel family. Very well-designed and cozy. The team also offers public events like common meditation for the locals.

Proximity with the center. Friendly receptionist. Comfortable and clean bed . Clean shower! Perfect for a weekend! Great money value !

The hostel was really clean and the rooms were great. There’s a nice little biergarten/cafe at the bottom of the hostel and the employees are really nice and helpful. It’s only a couple of minutes from the S-Bahn. Highly recommend for your next stay in Leipzig.

One of the best Hostel in city! Good price, excellent staff, really recommended. Only thing is if you prefer the "centrum" experience, maybe look for other options. We were desperately looking for a place to stay at half past ten at night when we around this little hostel. Super nice staff and great prices. Clean and well equipped. Our room smelled a bit of scented candles, but I think it was just to fit in with the atmosphere of this hostel.

We stayed two nights at Homeplanet Hostel in the Egypt Apartment. + Very friendly and helpful personell + Very nicely decorated room + Reasonable prices - The beds were just cruel. The double bed was just too small for two people and the matress was probably quite old. With every turn, the bed made loud noises and was very uncomfortable - One of the single beds in the apartment almost fell apart...

The area surrounding the Hostels is similar to the West Berlin Neighborhoods of the end of the 70s.Great Atmosphere!! The home planet adds accordingly. I immediately felt comfortable. Old building. There were 2 cabins of toilet & 1 of them was out of order.

Loved the stay here at the Hostel. Very easy check-in and all the food places are very nearby. Easy acess to trams with just 2 min walk away.

Friendly staff and price appropriate rooms, but there was a very loud event in the downstairs bar so sleeping was impossible. Luckily, a self checkout is possible even at 4am via the key drop box.

At the beginning the room was good. Bathroom was clean. It was said, to leave the keys inside the room and the cleaning stuff will collect it. Someone, did as said and the key was a day later still on the place where it was left.... So no cleaning every day.... Some inventory is damaged, e.g. lock of one toilets. Some of the staff were nice other were "bitchy" In general you get what you pay for and...

The Hostel is really super. The room I was in was nice and bright & cozy, the bathroom completely sufficient. :) You can reach everything on foot from the Hostel & to be running a maximum of half an hour to get to the BHF. :)

Very quiet and comfortable place. In front of the Peterskirche Leipzig church. Modern foft interior, kitchen in every room and big common kitchen. Price is good.

Perfect accommodation!

Great furnished rooms in a central location in Leipzig. Is not a hotel, so the check-in needs to be organised a little and there is no breakfast in house. Other than this, the rooms are slick, the reception was very friendly and there is a garage available.

Amazing value for money. Simple, beautifully styled room and bathroom. Communal kitchen with modern appliances. Church across the road can be very loud - so don’t expect to sleep later than 7:30am. Internet connection could be improved, and a fan in this summer heat would be welcome! But otherwise a great stay!

Well priced, and nicely styled. Wifi doesn't stay connected for more than 30 seconds. Kitchen had new appliances, but no cooking oil.

Great enough for our weekend trip. Tram accessible in 7 minutes. Could be that there are problems with 4 rooms, with a toilet with a shower. But for us it wasn't a problem.

Well, strange/extraordinary location to stay in a car park. All in all, a quiet place to sleep where you have to say it could be cleaner and better maintained, but the price-performance ratio is right.

Actually I didn't want to write a review because it's already hard to get a room (especially the 2 with ensuite). You can stay overnight here very cheaply, nice landlord, even if you have forgotten all your data at home, no problems dealing with the phone. Excellent!

Had a one night stay with my friend here because of the World Championships Handball in Leipzig. Friendly owners who showed us the way, and it looks really well on the inside. I stayed in this guesthouse for a month and was very satisfied. The room was very clean and the staff very helpful and friendly. I even got a very good price. The area around the pension is absolutely great. I can really recommend the guesthouse. Just great class.

The "hostel" is an apartment in which 2 rooms are rented. With a shared bathroom and kitchen. Fridge and cooking facilities are fine. Room is large and well furnished. I really like the idea of ​​offering drinks, but there is still room for improvement in implementing it. The facility is simple but okay. Unbeatable price / performance ratio. Central location

I was there for a short night. The room was neat and clean. The owner very friendly. There is a small selection of drinks at good prices. The bed I loved to sleep in was excellent. The location itself is good too. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby. The park “Die Nunne” can also be reached quickly. All in all, to be recommended for a short stay.

Ignore the bad reviews, this is clean comfortable quirky accommodation but simple. The people complaining on here (Spießer aus BW?) should know that if you pay 27€ a night (single room), then you're not getting a 5 star penthouse. This is my second time and I've already booked my third.

Very nice, kind and friendly hostess. The price for the hostel is expensive. But a separate room with a shared bathroom makes up for the price.
