I gave this hotel a try on a short trip during the week as it location was pretty good and fairly priced with 72 EUR / night. Unlike my expectations with this central locations the room has been actually really quiet. Staff was very friendly. On-site parking with 15 EUR is a bit high considering the prices of one of the local parking garages ( 5.00 EUR / day ) and should be decreased to about 10-1...

Far from the centre, no air conditioning in the rooms. There is a fan. The vicinity of the hotel is quiet, there is a park nearby, but there are too many mosquitoes because they do not leave them alone. I think I coincided with the season.

The breakfast was good. The staff was friendly. The room was clean, but the bathroom was not. The location is okay, with markets just around the corner and easy access from the central train station.

For 68€ the small room (listed as standard, but it's much smaller than the photos seem) is ok, good location by the S-bahn. There is parking, but when we called to ask about it we didn't recieve some critical information, such as you have to go into the hotel before parking (not so easy in the busy city streets) and this resulted in paying almost double. This hotel is amazing. Rooms are clean, modern and well-furnished. We’ve been staying there for 2 nights and we definitely loved that place. Service was good and food was awesome too. Even though it’s not close to the Leipzig Bahnhof (≈2,9km), there’s a tram. I definitely recommend this place, if you want to go to Leipzig for some days.

Nice hotel: good/ tasty breakfast, small pool, flexible administration. Would come back. Easy check-in even during night via key safe & instructions. Small modern rooms with shower and coffee machine. No mini-bar. The pool is small but enough to swim a bit, unfortunately no sauna. Tasty breakfast with a good variety of everything. Value-for-money, I’d come back.

Superchill place at great value. Very clean, comfortable and luxurious for that price. Garden in the back is very nice too, with a fire place, some flowers and grass. Around the corner from restaurants and public transport in a nice and quiet area. Would highly recommend.

Really good stay at the Auenwald Hotel, having booked it at the last minute and for a fairly reasonable price. The renovation work they’ve done here looks great and the room was spacious and well appointed. Didn’t have breakfast but it looked good when I walked through the reception. Hotel is ok, but bed size is a joke... im 1.9m whic is medium height and the bed was like 1.8. It was super small, designed for midgets.

Very good service and 5 minutes walk to the city center, parking for your car as well 2 minutes walk 5 euros a day. The perfect hotel.

Had to stay here overnight due to train delay. Simple hotel, simple breakfast and non functional WiFi.

Zeitgemäße und wertig erscheinende Ausstattung. Steckdosen und USB Ladeanschlüsse direkt am Bett. Bade"zimmer" fast extravagant und mit vollständiger Duschkabine. Allerdings stinkt es aus deren Abfluß. Klimaanlage, was aber gleichzeitig die einzige Heizung für die komplette Einheit ist. Also nachts schwitzen oder früh im Bad frieren. Zimmer sehr hellhörig z.B. für Gespräche auf dem Gang oder Duschen...

Perfect location when visiting Leipzig. 10 minute walk to the Leipzig Zoo, 1 minute to the train station. Park and then walk or ride where you need to go.

Great hotel for the price, beautiful rooms, clean, spacious and very friendly and serviceminded staff. We were welcomed with candy on the pillows and special attention for breakfast. The owners speak English and are very helpful.

I passed by Leipzig on a car trip and just happened to book a room at Hotel Michaelis. This turned out to be a very good choice as the hotel was excellent in many aspects. Super-friendly and helpful staff. A large and clean room with a view of towers and church spires. Nice breakfast included, as well as a small bottle of wine. All this for 79 Euro, which is very competitive price/performance.

Quite comfortable and quiet area but not close to main station

The location of the hotel is very good, the rooms are big and comfortable, the breakfast is the best I've ever had in a hotel. There are two major problems though: first would be the lack of A/C in the rooms. It was terribly hot last week and I had to choose whether I won't sleep because of the temperature or because of the awful noise from the tram that goes on the nearby street. Very good hotel with quite comfortable but also very modern and functional rooms, even if they are not very big. The breakfast is varied and includes the possibility of cooking your own waffles! The hotel staff is kind. Regarding the place, it is in a quiet area, but just 10 minutes walking far from the City Hall.

Room is very nice and extremly spacious. Beds are comfortable and very big. Breakfast is above average. The staff is friendly and well trained. Just the location is not the happiest choice, but... all the other things mentioned above save the situation.

Was in the bar. Very nice location, design and ambiance. Awful cocktails! We ordered like a half of the card. 70% were just simply badly made. If you guys higher a real bartender, your place would be just perfect. But for now coffee would be my choice.

i’ve booked a double room here last weekend for my husband and I .because my parents live in Wiederitzsch.a new hotel with 100% new interior, clean and modern. there is a vietnamese restaurant next to this. It's a clean and good hotel, if you are a business customer. As an Tourist I would not recommend, because it was built by Telekom to provide a hotel for seminars and trainings.

After reading the ratings, I first was impressed by the positive appearance of the arrival hall. The inner yard appeared to me positively as well. I went there (as a volunteer firefighter) to an event to honor the volunteer firefighters of the city of Leipzig. The place was really great, food was perfect and the host where very kind :) Nothing to complain

This hotel is not a hostel, but it has something of the student house. Rooms are somewhere between Ibis budget and Ibis comfort - for those who know - and breakfast is quite ok for the price. Now the room was smelly because air vent from bathroom was getting rot air in, and bed was the cheapest you can get. And the receptionist was clearly unhappy to be here. The Hotel is located in the district Plagwitz. The rooms are very pleasantly decorated, the door locking device has to get used to something. Positive: free LAN connection, free enclosed Parking Negative: very poor mobile phone reception, at least in the O2 network The Breakfast is rich and tasty.

Very Nice and clean hotel. Good restaurant.

Overall is a nice place to stay for a coupe of days, breakfast is included and is great, as is the restaurant. Menu in German and English. The only downside is that they have no double beds, just two singles put together.

+ Friendly personnel + nice and clean room + free water bottle and 2x tea bags + perfectly working AC + parking lot infront of the hotel but - after 8pm there was no free lot in the whole area so we had to park 300m away near a supermarket All in all a nice hotel, but be aware that you might not get a parking lot after coming back from eating in a restaurant in the city at 7pm.

You get alot for the price you pay! Rooms are big and very well equipped. Everything is clean and staff is helpful. We stayed only one night but it is a place we would definitely like to come back.

Perfect location, highly convenient parking with direct access into the hotel, and very friendly staff. The rooms were to the newish Ibis standard with a really good sized bathroom. The Hotel Papilio is a beautiful and cozy Hotel!!! The rooms are very pleasant with a large flat TV, the beds are very soothing with two pillows and a neck roll. The room service is very courteous and always friendly!!! Up on the road noise on the front of the hotel, with the window open and the small shower, the rooms are really perfect. The Restaurant is really a nice room with a beautiful beer garden...

The breakfast is varied and complete. The staff is always helpful and with a good attitude. They helped us with every inquiry we had. Emely in particular was really kind to us. There are tram and bus stations right in-front of the hotel...

Room and staff were great! We loved the airco in the room and the breakfast particularly. When we booked, we paid almost 120 euro per night. However, during our stay the price was about half of that. This felt disappointing, because we paid in full. During the booking process, we were not notified about the free parking in the street next to the hotel. This could be better communicated to future guests...

The hotel is nicely renovated. We stayed in a smaller room but it had everything we needed, nicely decorated and clean. The staff is very nice and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic, very big selection of delicious intercontinental food. The location is in walking distance to downtown or a quick ride with the tram. Zoo is also 10 minutes away withthe Tram. Definitely recommend this hotel!

The room is well-designed and comfortable. The location of the hotel is superb, on a lively, yet not too loud street in central Leipzig.

We were greeted very nicely and brought to our room personally. The room was super clean and we didn't miss anything. Only the hair dryer clearly has too little juice, which is why you need a lot longer to blow dry your hair than at home. The breakfast is very varied and tasted very tasty. Very friendly, very clean rooms! Bathroom very nicely done with a large shower! Very quiet because it is well insulated against noise. Breakfast also very tasty in the form of a buffet. Price / offer: Very good!

The hotel was clean and in order as expected but there was 2 small things not appropriate. One is the breakfast that cannot be so expensive as is and the second is that is not possible to have a concierge in a hotel nearby an airport that only speaks German.
