Maritim Hotel

The hotel does not have working WiFi.
We waited nearly 15 minutes for the man at the reception desk to answer the phone.
The lobby is nice... But good service and working WiFi would be nicer.

I recently stayed at the Maritim Hotel in Dresden and I was very disappointed with the service I received at check-out. After staying for four days, I requested an electronic receipt for reimbursement purposes. I was informed that only one option was available: either print or electronic. While I respect this regulation, I was surprised to learn that it was “too late” to request an electronic receipt upon check-out.

What made the situation particularly unpleasant was the rude and condescending attitude of the front desk staff, particularly Caroline Gand. Despite my calm and polite tone while explaining the necessity of an electronic receipt, I was met with an unfriendly response that made me feel ignored and uncomfortable. The staff insisted an email “WILL” be sent for applying for the receipt, dismissing my request entirely.

While I understand that policies exist, the way these policies are communicated matters greatly. The lack of professionalism, empathy, and basic courtesy from the front desk staff was unacceptable and overshadowed what could have been a positive stay. I hope the management addresses these concerns to ensure future guests are treated with respect and provided with better customer service.
