The staff were really great from receptionist to kitchen staff to cleaners. All very polite and attentive. The room was modern, very clean & comfortable. The breakfast was also great.

My partner and I booked this hotel for almost two weeks during the autumn break and we felt very much at home there. We liked everything very much and would definitely recommend this hotel to others. We will definitely book the Hotel Gerberhof again very soon with the friendly Schmitt family. Yes, even after two weeks we still think of this beautiful hotel with great joy. Thomas Schwan

Top hotel. All super friendly. Nice rooms and the breakfast is great too.

Very nice and clean hotel. The staff is very courteous and helpful. We had a very nice and newly renovated room with a direct view of the Nebelhorn. Breakfast was sufficient and very well organized even under Corona conditions. The city center of Oberstdorf can be reached in 10 minutes on foot. There is a closed room for bicycles including a charging function. We can only recommend the Gerberhof.

Actually good, but 12 days without a working elevator is too long. Old and disabled people gasped and struggled up and down the floors. A drama to have this reputation.

I booked an EZ in the comfort class. The reservation was quick and easy. The front desk was friendly, the room with balcony was very clean and the shower was nice and hot 😁 breakfast and coffee top!

Nice hotel. Quite. Excellent panoramic view in the mountains from the room terrace. Room is small though, but clean. € 61 including breakfast. Internet is rather slow up to 3 Mbit/s. Free parking right in front of the hotel, very convenient. 4 stars overall.

Unique feel-good hotel with stylish, cozy furnishings throughout the house and in the spacious rooms. All services are as described on the website. Very friendly courteous staff. Excellent breakfast that leaves nothing to be desired, even my porridge was prepared for me. The only thing we just lacked was a tea bar in the room or at least accessible in the house. Otherwise 5 stars!

This hotel is for people who like hunting villa style and very friendly staff. For one night you pay 120 euros for a super clean "apartment" with bedroom and living room. Spacious room, extremely nice customer service and varied items for breakfast

The hotel is beautifully decorated and has generous common areas for reading and relaxing. Our room had a nice view to the mountains and the large, picturesque garden. Breakfast was tasty, with a wide selection of foods. The hotel also offered good rates for swimming pool and saunas at the nearby partner hotel.

Have been here for almost a week and feel very comfortable. Not in the middle of town but in 10 minutes on foot. Room and breakfast very good. Keep it up.

Till now, this is the best hotel ever. The cleaning service ist absolutely outstanding. Our room was clean, with a nice view, with a balcony, warm and big enough for two persons. Great service, great view from our room!

We have been there twice and can only say that you feel great there. Nice and very friendly owner, nice team . Everything was very clean, comfortable and a great breakfast, plus the great view. We will be back in 5 weeks and will celebrate our silver wedding with the family there in May. We have already been there 7 times in the meantime and in 2 weeks we will be there for the eighth time.

Breakfast was everything you need, quality was good, lots of organic products. Room was fine, nothing to complain about. The location is rather subjective, we had a view of the mountains and the proximity to the city center was very good for us. The best thing, however, is the friendly couple who could always be approached openly or who gave us and the other guests tips for hikes, etc. on their own...

Everyone is just so nice

Had a great time here. The beds are comfortable and you can walk to the skilifts. It's located in the city so you have everything you need at your reach.

I was here for 10 days. The operators are very nice. Had booked over the internet and on rates of the owner canceled, booked with her and properly saved. The location is great for walking and you are in about 10 minutes walk in the city center. Quiet in the evening. Large balconies at all apartments. Daily bread and food service on request. The guest house Kissner convinces with its wonderful location and the nice hostess. Best location in Oberstdorf and a very nice hostess who offers a really delicious breakfast buffet. Also great that there are drinks at very fair prices in the fridge. Mrs. Kissner is a very knowledgable woman who can give a good tip for your leisure time activities. Lovely again.

The property is beautifully located. The rooms are comfortably furnished and in a clean condition. The owners were very friendly and you could get good hiking tips. I accidentally left my elastic there when we got home. I hadn't even noticed the loss myself and had a letter with the elastic in my mailbox today. Really very attentive and warm accommodation. Gladly again.

I very much enjoyed my stay here. Free mountain cable car pass. A really cracking breakfast and a friendly reception. The nice lady even let me have the room early. The single room was fine.

Apartment Schattenberg is a gem...everything tastefully and elegantly furnished. Kitchen perfectly adequate for 2 people... great bathroom with huge shower... the landlords are friendly and helpful. Sauna in the basement included (by appointment) and it's really cute, even with a relaxation room...ok, the dousing shower and the hose for the cold shower were out of order, but you can get over that....

OK. but not any more. Water early at 5:00 a.m. only cold to lukewarm. Breakfast ok but not amazing. Host not particularly talkative and sociable. Bathroom window from the other room was on our balcony side-since permanent showerers were accommodated there and it was very annoying when the showering window was open. Relaxation was not possible on the balcony.

At the beginning of 2016 I was able to enjoy 4 days in this beautiful hotel. The single room was perfect for me, the breakfast was delicious and the host was very friendly and helpful. I had the sauna to myself.

It was very clean and tidy there. Unfortunately, the beds are a bit old, but you can sleep very well. The breakfast has something for everyone, including boiled eggs. It's just out of the way but beautiful between the mountains. The host couple is very nice and helpful.

In the summer of 2022, we happened to end up in the Spielmannsau inn on our hike and found the place so wonderful that we decided to go on vacation there. No sooner said than done...in January 2023 we were there for a week. fantastic! Casual, close to nature and incredibly inspiring describe our week. Great breakfast (dogs are not allowed in the breakfast room), the house has been lovingly prepared...

Good hotel. Location is perfect for people who loves nature. Perfect mountain view, but weather was a bit disappointing. Sauna and small water basin was nice to relax after cold day. Brekfast was average. If you like only sandwitches, you will not be disappointed. However i like something warm for brekfast: omlet or egg, this was for EXTRA costs!! Never had situation before, where brekfast included...

We were searching for a mountain restaurant for a family dinner and really struck gold here. The food was wholesome, tasty and well-priced, the service was warm, friendly and good. The views from this restaurant are spectacular and well worth the steep drive out of town to enjoy them. Highly recommended!

I stayed at Sascha's Kachelofen for skiing. Everything was perfect! A variety of breakfast, lovely decoration, tidiness, and large space of the room, location of the hotel, staff...! Special thanks to the friendly lady at the breakfast and the gentleman at the reception! I will definitely stay here when I come again to Oberstdorf! Thank you!!

The location is nice, easily access to elsewhere in the village. The food is sort of creative Bayern kitchen, interesting and rather popular! Room is regular farm style in this region, clear and comfortable in winter time. The reception is rather small, nevertheless, the hotel is suitable for different kinds of travelers.
