The food was really good! The buffet offers soooo many delicious things, wow! The spa area consists of 4 saunas, but unfortunately only one is really hot. Further, they only do two events per day (at least in the hottest sauna) but they literally just came in, threw the ice in the oven and left without any comments...

Second time here. I love this resort. It’s truly in a beautiful location and has an incredible spa. Dining is a bit expensive but worth it. Take time to hike around the region. Live music in the evenings is a bonus!

Sport hotel with class! A great hotel, a bit outside of Oberstdorf. But there is a bus right outside the hotel. It takes only a couple of minutes - and you get a card from the hotel - so no charge. Huge breakfast buffet, lovely staff and a really nice spa area. The hotel bar was also great. The only minus was that my room was in a corner and the amazing view from the balcony was a bit blocked.

Beautiful hotel with gorgeous views and very helpful staff. Delicious food and convenient breakfast schedule. Situated on a hill outside of town, but I believe there is a good bus connection for those who don't fancy the climb. Great for hikers!

I loved my stay in Alpenhotel Oberstdorf, Outside the town, for relaxing time to spend. Room was huge and very comfortable. Breakfast was a wide range of food, which I liked. Good hotel with nice views, good breakfast and near the village centrum. Kind and service minded staff. Unfortunately I forgot my swim shorts (A pair of CK) in the pool/sauna area. The staff couldn't find it so somebody has stolen them. So beware of pick pockets!

Wonderful sauna and wellness area with illuminated pool. The view from the large windows of the sauna on the alpine panorama in the moonlight gives you goosebumps, despite the 90 degrees!!

The best View over Obersdorf. The staff is very polite. The breakfast is great with a view and the wellness part is also perfect only that it closes at 20:00 . The rooms look good but the bathrooms are a bit small . The owner is your best friend and will assist you in whatever problem you will encounter. It's my second time here this year. What a fab family run hotel nestled in the mountains of Oberstdorf. Even had a pool that we could use anytim day or night. The staff were sooooo friendly and we sat up at the bar chatting to them after our meal. Which was lovely and great value

Holiday weekend with a great view. We have stayed here twice now. It is a small traditional hotel. Set at the edge of town, it has an unobstructed and amazing view of the valley and mountains. Rooms are clean and the breakfast is very good. The room also came with a Allgäu-Walser-Card which was a great savings. Not sure if this was a special offer or a normal practice.

1st Ski weekend in Obertsdorf. Perfect location right on the edge of a huge cross country ski trail/Field. We had our Labrador Retriever and she absolutely loved running around out there int snow. It is advertised as a four star which I would say is correct for the breakfast buffe (fresh honeycomb was a really nice touch!) and spa area but not for the rooms. These are more of three star quality. The locations is in a tiny quiet village two km away from Oberstdorf which you can walk to if you want.

Food is generally good, but lacks a little bit of uniqueness compared to other restaurants in the neighbourhood. Central location and fabulous rooms with double balcony/conservatory and I loved the alpine theme. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of variety. We also sampled a local yodelling band as they had evening entertainment which really made the night. I would definitely recommend but if you are a light sleeper you may not like the church bells close by.

Wonderful dining experience with delicious food. Try the risotto! The yodeling, being somewhat repetitive, is not half as annoying as you thought it would be and even adds to the flair of the evening. When overnighting: be sure to use the very extensive breakfast options spread across the restaurant (ham, brie and cheeses are in the back).
