Good hotel with nice views, good breakfast and near the village centrum. Kind and service minded staff. Unfortunately I forgot my swim shorts (A pair of CK) in the pool/sauna area. The staff couldn't find it so somebody has stolen them. So beware of pick pockets!

It is advertised as a four star which I would say is correct for the breakfast buffe (fresh honeycomb was a really nice touch!) and spa area but not for the rooms. These are more of three star quality. The locations is in a tiny quiet village two km away from Oberstdorf which you can walk to if you want.

Food is generally good, but lacks a little bit of uniqueness compared to other restaurants in the neighbourhood. We stayed in the chalet this place operates, and it exceeded all of our expectations. The view and location were unrivaled, with a quick walk into town very easy to pull off. The staff was helpful and spoke enough English to ensure we had all our questions answered. The accommodations were much fancier than we expected.
