Very cozy and enchanting hotel few blocks away from the historical center. Room with Impeccable and spotless bathroom…. Loved the wide open shower. Generous and delicious breakfast buffet.

A beautiful hotel in a unique setting! We had wonderful junior suite that was refurbished in modern style. Bathroom was roomy but the shower’s water pressure was really bad. Breakfast was really nice with perfect fried eggs! Only if you allergic to dust be wary of the carpets!

Very spacious rooms and a grand view. The hotel areas are clean and quiet. German and English service and easy parking. Dinner requires a reservation. The restaurant at Hotel am Brühl is right down the street and I highly recommend it.

We were pleasantly surprised at just how grand this castle is and on large grounds overlooking the old town of Altstadt just a couple minutes walk. We were on a trip in the town and came across this absolutely amazing and authentic place. The food was just fire- we’ve got a roast deer with “Knödel” and a salmon on a potato patty as a starter. We booked a double room, which turned out to be a nice size studio flat. Little kitchen, big bathroom with a bathtub and massive bedroom/ living room/ dining room. We also had a nice balcony with table and chairs. The whole place is very nice, big and rustical. The road nearby can be a little noisy in the room and the reception staff could be more friendly.

Stayed for 5 nights on a Great Rail Journey's holiday. A modern hotel that can cope with lots of large groups. Very comfortable rooms, good facilities. Self service restaurant food can be a bit hit and miss but generally good choice and value. Helpful staff and located within easy reach of the local attractions.

We have been to Freiwerk many times now. It is always characterized by its consistently excellent service and the quality of the food is consistently excellent. What is particularly great is that the card is constantly being renewed, which means that it doesn’t take a long time to come up. The barbecue brunch on Sundays in summer was also great and super relaxed in this great location.

Hello, we were in Wernigerode for the first time to visit the annual Oktoberfest with friends. The pension is in a very quiet location, but still centrally located so that you can reach the very beautiful city center in a short time on foot. Everything is very clean and the landlords were very nice. We would book the pension again at any time.

Well we have to say it was one of the nicest vacation rentals we've ever had. The apartment itself is very well maintained and very well furnished with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The hotel is in a very idyllic location right next to the forest. Pure tranquility. The staff is super friendly, the rooms very clean. Unfortunately, the restaurant looks very cool and therefore not very cozy. Our breakfast was varied, only we didn't like the rolls, but this is a matter of taste.

I have been staying at this hotel for 8 years now and every year that passes things get better, this year was just as comfortable and caring as before. Quick nights stay Appartment was clean and comfortable for 4 adults, just like the pictures. Great beds even the pull out couch. Street parking was easy and close by. Communication with host was great with very accucate and easy checkin instructions.

We visited the restaurant to enjoy Easter Brunch on Sunday. The buffet looked amazing, but unfortunately it was just the looks. Most of the foods didn't taste well. They were either too dry or lacked spices. I would expect something more high class from a 32 EUR brunch. The restaurant was also a bit too crowded and we had to wait in a long line to get to the buffet.
